Cheney Shoots Other Rich Guy
In an apparent accident, the most powerful vice president in the history of The United State of America shot another millionaire.
WASHINGTON (AP) — Vice President Dick Cheney accidentally shot and wounded a companion during a weekend quail hunting trip in Texas, spraying the fellow hunter in the face and chest with shotgun pellets.

Dang! Kinda makes me wish that Bush and Cheney were hunting partners.

Cheny’s just trying to find another way of dealing with the social security problem.:)

Remember that as a general rule, when one guy shoots another while hunting, with loaded weapons at hand, you have 2 total and complete morons that are;
1) Obviously inattentive
2) Do not have strong instinct for self preservation
3)Have not updated their NRA gun safety training
4) would probably die staring up at the sky with their mouths open in a rainstorm, like a chicken.
Congrats people, this is the man one heartbeat away from the residency. Look it is time to seriously take these people on, they aren’t very good, as the iraqis are proving, to the world I might ad, I’m sure china is lickin’ her chops at the things they will be able to control in the near future.

Hmm, and I thought that guns in the hands of so-called law abiding citizens were perfectly safe!

I wonder if this means the rich guy will stop making contributions to Cheney’s compaign.

If a guy can’t kill a 78 year old lawyer at point blank range, do we really want him one heartbeat away from leading the war on terrorism?

This story is getting more hype than it deserves. For example the VP was shooting with a 28 gauge shotgun (birdshot), and the victim was hit from 30 yards away. That is hardly enough to kill any man, although it was fortunate that Cheneys medical staff was on hand to help. Secondly, the victim didn’t announce his presence, so getting himself sprayed was a possibility.
If you’re going to take political potshots at Cheney, you better have more ammo than this.

Tyler,
Where is your affection for Cheney coming from? Are you an oil man? Haliburton stock holder?
If substantive reasons to criticize Cheney were ammo, there would be enough to fill a…

OK, now I see how it works. According to Tyler, he who fails to announce his presence when hunting is the responsible party if he ends up getting shot (or “peppered” as the case may be). What happened to the rationale that one who is on the shooting end of a weapon is responsible for what gets shot or killed?
February 13th, 2006 at 3:38 pm
Gun control is being able to hit your target, or in some cases control of fire.
Dick failure. I have not read anywhere that dick has announced he is sorry. He is just lucky he doesn’t hunt with a 12 gauge, so is the old rich guy lawyer.
Does anyone know that dick has shot up” to 70 pheasants at a time (pen raised, then given to the “less fortunate”) The whole “sport” of it is pretty questionable. Now shootin lawyers, now that is more exciting!

Hey, Glenn, you liberal-loving dufus. Cheney did NOT shoot anyone, he merely “peppered” the dude, thereby obviating the need to apologize. Get your facts straight!
February 13th, 2006 at 4:57 pm
Hey lets send Cheney on a nice hunting expedition with Algore.
February 13th, 2006 at 8:36 pm
I agree with Ken on this one. Some quality time alone with Al Gore (and Cheney’s ambulance staff at-the-ready) can only help Cheney understand, cope with and lead the world he finds himself in. This so-called accident, the decision to keep the matter quiet for 24 hours, and the “innocent” posturing following the announcement are all indicative of the way and manner that the Bush administratioin has conducted its affairs since coming to office. Gee whiz, if it were Cheney who had been shot under similar circumstances, just think of the trials and tribulations that would likely befall the shooter.
No Tyler, the matter is not being blown out of proportion; rather, you are still being hoodwinked by the some nutcakes that brought us over 2,000 dead US soldiers for their oil folly in the middle east.

Duh; being a farmdog you should know that the facts rarely smell like the original scent. Then again, what then is a farmdog? Let’s make it personal. hahah cheers glenn
Such a thing, I’m identified as a liberal, the world is truly upside-down. cheers glenn

Hey Tyler; It is always a good idea not jump to conclusions with this crowd of criminals until a few days after something they do happens. Like kiddies caught in a lie they are seemingly so arrogant or so stupid, they play us for dumb until we call them on it. It’s kinda funny. Until someone (thousands?) get shot or killed.
You must be embarrassed considering that cheney shot the guy in the HEART! If not it would explain your support of the likes as such a man.
I like the blame the victim thing, anyone who has trained in firearms knows that responsibilty for shooting someone is always the shooters, unless cofronted by armed persons bent on commiting mayhem upon you, and then, you still may face the law.
Much like maritime law, no matter what happens the skipper is responsible. So unlike george who dishes away blame first chance he gets. What a joke, if people weren’t gettin shot and maimed and killed. cheers glenn

Hay Tyler, get a load of this:
“You can’t blame anybody else. I’m the guy who pulled the trigger and shot my friend.”
Dick “the dick” Cheney, February 15, 2006.
That’s all the ammo I need. I can envision Cheney puking his guts out at this very moment for having been forced by Karl Rove to actually tell the truth to the American public. Poor guy!
February 15th, 2006 at 2:21 pm
Right on, GF. And, note that Cheney stated that he “shot” his friend, as opposed to merely “peppering” his friend. I hope Dick realized in the process that telling the truth is not as hard as he might have thought. Maybe something good will come from the shooting incident.
