Muslims RAGE Worldwide Against Muslim Atrocities.

The e-mail reprinted in the post below argues for the indictment of Muslims based on the erroneous suggestion that a list of atrocities committed by Muslims in the name of religion have been met with “No Muslim outrage” (as far as “we” know).

I’d say, any such expression was likely subordinated to Bart Simpson, a sex scandal, or the rollover during rush hour; they very same crew that turns around and says, “no muslim outrage.”

** It should be noted that Muslim outrage after 9-11 was worldwide and clear.

First of all, you cannot justify a war on Muslims for acts committed in the name of religion by a culture absence a free democratic society. All such acts will be predictably justified on a corrupted claim of religious conviction. But if you belong and oppose your theocratic leaders, you risk many discomforts the least of which is death.

In other words, you can no more expect Muslims in an oppressive theocratic society to condemn acts perpetrated in the name of Allah, any more than you could have expected Christians to demonstrate against the crusades. It is not their fault they live in an oppressive society either. In MOST of those cases the US supports those regimes.
It is understandable from the perspective of a society which has a passive relationship to the acquisition of information, that one must also empathize with the inability of our media to report on all things evenly let alone fairly in this realm or any other.

For that reason we must be very cautious about drawing conclusions about “no Muslim outrage” in response to acts carried out in their name. In fact their was quite a bit of Muslim outrage after 9-11.
Just as we find the Christian sects generally reluctant to criticize one another, we should assume that Muslim sects behave similarly.

It would be as presumptuous to expect Sunni Muslims in Libya to condemn the acts of Shiite Muslims in Yemen as it would be to expect Protestants in South Africa to condemn the behavior of Baptists in Mississippi, let alone to expect the media to cover such events.

Western Christians do not speak as one voice any more than Muslims or Jews.

And as much as many of the acts recounted in the e-mail were motivated by political ambition under a corrupt association with religion, so to are many acts in the US conducted under the corrupt claim of Christian principles as has been the case in the murder of homosexuals, abortion doctors and the segregation of African Americans.

We must avoid the temptation to impugn an entire religion for acts committed under the fallacious association of religion by political operators. In fact, to do so is dangerously ineffective.

For example, while uncounted numbers of individual Christians have condemned the murder of tens of thousands of innocent Iraqis by the US, I have not seen that reflected in the media as self-condemnation despite the fact that the invasion of Iraq is represented in the very argument proposed by the e-mail as a response to Muslim ambitions.

So, are we to assume that all of Christendom condones the invasion of Iraq? Absolutely not. Do Muslims in Syria and Detroit know that? Absolutely not! They have as much reason to argue that Christians as a whole support atrocities conducted in the name of Christianity as we have reason to believe that all Muslims condone the acts of other Muslims.

It would be convenient to take the position suggested by the e-mail. But it would also be useless if not provocative, wrong or needlessly inflammatory.

Truth is rarely gained without effort, and usually accompanied by discomfort.

Good point, Americans DO stand up in outrage against the horrific acts against Muslims. When Rocky did it, he was broadly condemned. In some countries, such an protest would result in finding your head in a bucket.

I have Iranian friends in Germany. They have been afraid for their lives in Germany, to protest Muslim attrocities elsewhere. Iranian violence against moderate Iranians has been a real problem since the late seventies all over Europe.

So I would ask those who beieve Muslims should show outrage, how, when, and where?

I wish there was world wide condemnation by Muslims towards the violence. So far only a few brave Muslims have dared speak out against the terrorists, sorry protestors that are committing violence over the Danish Cartoons.

You can never make a moral equivalence with Muslims and Christians because in Christendom there is nothing in the New Testament that can be used to condone violence. However in Islam there are hosts of passages that can be used to justify any atrocity perpetrated in the name of Allah.

Like I have mentioned before the Koran is explicit in its call to kill and subjugate infidels (unbelievers). The problem with the Militant Islamists isn’t that they are not following their scriptures, rather it is the fact they are following them to the letter. A Christian who commits violence, even if they claim to be doing it with God’s blessing have no scriptural basis to back that up. The same cannot be said for Muslims.

It would be one thing if Militant Islam was Isolated to a few areas and only involved a few people, but it has now spread world wide and involves millions of people. Global Jihad is upon us and unless we are willing to push it back it will only grow stronger and more terrible. It is a movement that has the potential to destroy the world, and that can never be overstated.

Europe was nearly engulfed by Islam, and it took the Crusades to push them back. Yes there were excesses in the Crusades by the Europeans, but if they had not done what they had to do we would still be living in the dark ages, only this time living under Sharia law. Historical revisionists have been successful in demonizing the Crusaders and lay the blame on their shoulders, but in reality it was Islam’s aggression into Europe that caused the crusades in the first place. Europe fought back and pushed Islam back to Arabia, and we all owe them a great debt of gratitude for it.

Osama Bin Laden and the terrorists understand this. That is why they call us crusaders, because this time it is us who are holding Islam back from world conquest.

If only more Muslims would reject the call for global Jihad. Moderate Muslims may be afraid to speak up out of fear of retaliation by extremists, but unless they do Islam will forever remain in the hands of the militants, and in that case Islam and the rest of the world will no longer be able to co-exist.

I left a comment on Ken’s post correcting some factual errors. I mostly agree with you, Cliff, except you should note that after 9.11, nearly every Muslim nation expressed sympathy for the victims of the attacks and offered support for our strikes on Afghanistan. Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are major allies in the War on Terror. It’d be a shame if they were alienated. More harm would be done by our leaders adopting Michelle Malkin’s rhetoric than Al Gore’s. (although both are coming from left field)

Hi Cliff! …….Feel free to post this to any list you want. Its no big deal either way. ………..

The torture debate is a tough one. Since 9/11 responsible people disagree about whether society protection takes
priority over individual rights. Im afraid I lean to the conservative camp on this issue. I dont think we should torture prisoners to death the way the Russians do with their Chechen enemies as well as the innocent civilians in the battle zone. (Where the hell is the Muslim worlds concerns about that?!) However I think the carot and the stick
approach is legitimate. If sleep deprivation can stop the next 9/11 Im all for it. I would prefer to use positive inducements to get good information. Like letting them talk to relatives, giving them extra good food, and giving them proper reading materials. …………

This is a different kind of war. These people dont fight for a Country but an ideology without a defined border. In the past people killed in the name of Pol Pot, Hitler, Stalin, Mao, etc. These soldiers were given legitimate Geneva Convention rules. I dont think Al Qaeda should be given the same rights as service men fighting for their respective
Countries. For 1 thing Bin Laden has never signed a treaty according his fighters that status. Al Qaeda is a world wide genocidal organization that makes the Mafia and the IRA look like misguided boy scouts. ………..

I agree that safe guards should be in place. I would feel better if Bush would fire Karl Rove yesterday. Bush should
also share intelligence with responsible Democratic Senators like Reid and Feinstein. We cant make the same mistakes of the 60s where LBJ used the FBI and the IRS to go after his enemies like Lenny Bruce and Eartha Kitt in the name of national security. …………

Great hearing from you, Kurt ………

PS: When is Rocky going to host a radio program again? Id like to ask him how he thinks Mitt Romney will do in his Man of Lamancha quest for the GOP nomination? When Senator Hatch ran for President 1 in 5 Republican voters said they could never support him because he was a Mormon. Romney is going to find those figures to be closer to 35-40% in this day and age. The right wing Protestant Ministers that run the GOP will never alllow a Mormon on the ticket.

I wish more Americans ould not heed the call of bushs’ global jihad. We fight in other peoples nations with sophisticated warcraft and kill people in droves, what is the matter with you people? Mess with the bull, get the horn.

Does anyone detect the orchestration of these recent events? One way or the other we have proven ourselves unaable to quell the Muslim outrage at our rather obvious war for reasons other than what we say.

As far as Iam concerned anyone that thinks terrorists are a threat to Aerica is fundamentally brainwashed. Review the trade center bombing. Dumbass americans are the only people that believe the official government conspiracy. Anyone advocating continuing what has been our path in this disaster is a whack job in my book. I would imagine if we left these people alone, they would leave us alone.

I encourage Americans to look within and realize that the majoraty of Americans are do not know the inner workings and reasoning as to why our dictatorship doea what it doea any more than some crazy arab regime. If you don’t believe that after all the revelations coming out of Washington thesde days, I’m sorry, there is no help for you.

Onward Christian Sldier then. cheers glenn
