Cliff LyonLooks Like Snow and Hagel Caved - (refer to yesterday’s post)
Not surprisingly, I couldn’t find anything in from a commercial news source but someone at DailyKos said
Just saw this on CNN. Looks like Snowe and Hagel caved! The compromise “Sell Out” creates a new subcommittee to oversee the NSA domestic spying. The NSA program must be approved every 45 days by the new subcommittee and there is a five year sunset clause to make the whole program go away. This is what we got instead of an investigation, instead of holding this criminal administration accountable for their crimes.
At times like this, I am not optimistic about the direction of our country. The presidents admits to breaking the law with an excuse that no legal expert buys let alone people like George Will, and our Congress will not even conduct a formal review, and the media stick their heads in the sand.
I think my sage electrician friend over at BlueUtah.info with grandson on his lap said it best:

It is with interest that I read blues statement. Does he know that your view of american corporatism and ensuing globalism(now reformed of course)resembles in every way the tory scourge that led to the rebellion that built this Nation? Globalism as you have defined and lived it, is the crown tory model of crony corporatism that drove the empire. Eventually to extinction,.. now its greasy soul lives here.
Your concept of corporatism(now reformed, we pray) is a tory as it gets, resembling the charter of Hudsons Bay co.. It is disrespectful of Nation and has at it’s heart simple exploitation of subject peoples. These are the contradictions which force me to pick on you, and of course question any pretension to moral center, but since you are reformed now, we (I) know that you are fighting the good fight.
Since you are reformed, I now understand why your time is so precious, there is alot to atone for.

We’ve worked diligently on the Cliffmiester over the years, but you know what they say about bringing up a child in the way he should go? Many generations of public service come out sometimes in interesting ways.
