Proud Local White Supremacist Runs as Democrat?
You would have to be following local politics to know that an avowed white supremacist filed to run as a candidate on the Democratic Party ticket for the Utah State House of Representatives. Jack Gray is obviously a man of character and tremendous bravery or hatred, or both.
It won’t be long before the local media discover Jack is, according to other media reports, an unrepentant member of David Duke’s European American Unity and Rights Organization (EURO) and he has previously run for office as a member of the Constitution Party.
Apparently, not one to miss an opportunity to confirm his socio-political leanings, Jack is also a member of the Creativity Movement formerly known as World Church of the Creator
whose mission includes “making this an all-white nation and ultimately an all-white world.” Given the unique circumstances, I make exception to the bloggers standard’s for linking to reference sources in the case of hate groups so as to protect the under-aged or malevolently inclined.
I found Jack’s phone number on the State Elections website list of candidates and called him. There was no answer. So I left a message with my question, phone number, and invitation to top post on this blog. I noticed he is the only candidate running who did not register his home address but rather a PO Box.
I asked him why he decided to run as a democrat as opposed to say, a republican. My only guess is Salt Lake County Republican Party Chair James Evans dissuaded him from running as a republican. Their tent isn’t quite as big as the democrats.
Particulary ironic is that he’s running in the same district (25) as democrat Chris Johnson whose platform embraces equality, diversity, and tolerance.

So he is really a Republican.

Hey Andrew Jackson the founder of the democrat party has often been calleed a racist/genocider for commiting genocide on the Indians.
Didn’t Trumann drop the atom bomb on the Japs? Hypocritic racism and revesrse racism are long hallmarks of democrats. I love a group that is so easy to unsettle.
If I were he, and Iknow democrats, there would be little doubt that any address I posted would be a PO Box too. No need to communicate with the racists who don’t know they are.

I need some clarification on your statement about how the Republican Tent isn’t big enough for Jack Gray or people who have the same ideals as him. The chair suggest he doesn’t run in the Republican party, they guy listens and goes to the Democrat partyand files.
I went to the Salt Lake County Democrat website and found a photo of the Leadership, http://www.slcountydems.com/leader.htm . Then went to the Salt Lake GOP website and all I could find is a picture of James Evans, http://www.slcogop.org/ .
So let me ask the obvious question, Who do you think a “avowed white supremacist ” decided to go run under the Democrat Flag?
Do you really think it is a matter of who has the bigger tent, or the fact that maybe he didn’t like having a conversation with a Black-American in a leadership role in a party?
You see what I think it is, Jack knew he couldn’t get anywhere running on a third party ticket in a two party system and needed to pick a side. I don’t doubt Evan’s suggested he not run in the Republican Party, but I have a feeling that Jack’s choice was more than what Evans had to say.

I was surprised to learn that historically (back in the 19th century) that the Democratic Party was more racist than the Republican Party.
I wonder what the Utah Dems are thinking, letting this guy run on their ticket?

I don’t look at it as a matter of what were they thinking. It could be simple, like they are so desperate to run people for office that they don’t look at that. Of course you may find a few D’s that will argue, its a matter of Freedom of Speech and a fair and open democracy. Which is true, however I would n’twalk into that mine field.
I still want to know as I asked before. You guys were so quick to confront some friends of mine on another post, here I have a geninuine question. I did ask them to knock off the crap, and only post if they are going to be serious, which you could tell they were just goating you guys.
So will you clearify?
By they way glowworm, Truman did a lot more than just drop two Atomic Bombs on Japan. We fire bombed serval cities, killing lots of civilians, and more than pay back for Pearl Harbor. Of course history is filled with events like these, caused by Presidents from different parties.

Tumor/TKL - As far as I can tell, your question was “Who do you think a “avowed white supremacist †decided to go run under the Democrat Flag?”
I assume you meant to ask WHY. If you re-read the original post, you will see that I called Mr. Gray to ask him that question. He has not returned my call, so I can’t answer your question.
I should also “clearify” [sic] that the democratic party cannot control who runs as a democrat, until the party convention, May 13th, in which party elected delegates vote for the candidate that will run on the party ticket in the general election.

Benign Tumor; Fire bombing was conducted against White People(Germans) so I concede your point. Murder most Foul, is almost always a Bipartisan issue. I use Iraq as the most recent example. Complete the requisite excuses. g

Don’t lump me in with TKL, we aren’t not the same person. You missed my question, I was refering to your comments about the Republican party. The way you presented it was that of negativity poking fun at the Big Tent idea of the GOP. I wanted to understand better what you were saying. Reread the opening of that post to catch what I was really asking. I know what you wrote regarding his failure to return phone calls and the use of a PO BOX. Signs of a weak candidate, you must return every call that you get, including the ones you know are going to be difficult or uncomfortable.

Hi Cliff ,
I meant to write to you but I have a little time to write to you now. I don’t belong to the creativity movement, sorry. I was the guy that sponsered Reverend Matt Hale’s speaking engagement at Sprague Library 4 years ago.I support First Amendment rights for all people in Utah and the Freinds of the First Amendment believe that Matt Hale is a First Amendment matyr so being a first amendment activist I gave him a chance to speak in a public forum and I invited left wing people to the meeting to be fair it was open to the public. I have been a activist for anti-war to republicans to democrates so I don’t have a permanent ideology and I have some good ideas about improving the environment and get diverse e-mails from La Vos to Equality Utah SURPRIZE. I don’t agree with that post you made about me and James Evens didn’t discourage me not to run as a Republican I have never spoken to him personally. You made that up, of course. No hard feelings your a funny guy , you can repost these comments on your blog if you want to that.
