nbsp;thankyouharrytaylor.org was just mentioned on Olbermann on MSNBC. I went right there to post my own thank and found a wonderful surprise - the site is Utah-based as am I. I’ll be back to visit this site regularly.
I do want to thank Harry for his courage standing up in the midst of that unfriendly crowd and in the face of a president who responded with a smirk and smart remark. Harry, thank you for doing what I wish I could do!
Harry Sir, you are the talk all over the net !! Thank you for actually getting into one of Bush’s prescreened town hall meetings first and foremost !!! We’ve heard many stories of families of fallen soldiers who were turned away when the presznit was in their area for a group love in..
You said and did what we all want the opportunity to do. How admirable of you to stand up and do what you did, especially in the company of these moronic bush supporters.
Bravo sir, Bravo !!
As for you folks in Utah, you have my sympathy. I spent 5 yrs living in the SL area from 91 to 96 .. then ran like hell from zombie land .. good grief !!!! Might as well have lived on another planet with blonde bimbos breast implants, 14 yr olds with babies, and men EVERYWHERE with several wives and 20 kids.. movie theaters, restaurants.. it was nauseating.. Sure didn’t feel like any United States I grew up in that’s for sure..
Thank you, Harry Taylor, for being a true American and for having the courage to speak out and say (so eloquently) what most of would like to have said. We’re old, but not too old to remember this country the way we wish it was now. Perhaps with more people like you, it’ll be our America again–a country we can be proud of.
Thank you Harry, for speaking clearly for so many Americans. You help us to realize we all have to stand together to help run this country right, from local to national and internationl policy.
Not thank you Harry Sir, but Thank you Sir Harry. You said what so many of us older retired Americans want to say to this president who was not elected by most of us. You go guy!!!
Thank You, Henry Taylor, for the ability to get into one of the presidents prescreened events and the courage to express the view of millions and millions of patriotic Americans who are alarmed by his almost unbelievable incompetence on all levels of executive function, as well as his overwhelming and offensive hubris .
Harry, Harry, Harry……..I can’t put it any other way than Thank You!! I doubt that your couragous and honest opinion to Bush will change how he operates but you gave a voice for a lot of people - and you made so many of us once again proud to be American!
I SAW THE SHOW ON MSNBC ABOUT AN HOUR AGO, AND I WANT TO SAY TO HARRY THANK YOU ON MY BEHALF FROM NEW JERSEY. IT’S ABOUT TIME SOMEONE HAD THE (COJONES) (BALLS) TO STAND UP TO BUSH. YOU ARE AND INSPIRATION TO MANY OF US WHO WOULD LOVE THE OPORTUNITY TO DO THE SAME. EVEN AMONG A HOSTILE CROWD YOU KEPT SPEAKING AND MADE BUSH LISTEN TO WHAT YOU HAD TO SAY. I BOW TO YOU HARRY, I AM SO SICK AND TIRED OF ALL THOSE BOOTLIKERS THAT HE LIKES HAVING AROUND HIM AND AGREEING TO EVERYTHING HE SAY’S AND DOES. HIS ADMINISTRATION IS CRUMBLING AND I CANT WAIT TO SEE IT FALL APART RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM.
AMERICA IT’S TIME TO STAND UP AND LET BUSH KNOW HOW WE FEEL WE NEED TO MAKE CHANGES IN WASHINGTON. I CANT WAIT TIL 2008. ONCE AGIAN THANK YOU HARRY. FROM RAY.
Thank you, Harry Taylor, for having the guts to publicly embarass this extremely incompetant man who is our president. I watched your performance on Countdown With Keith Olbermann on MSNBC. bush’s smirking attempt to make a comedy of it only magnified his stupidity, as he tried and failed to come up with some kind of answer for your comments. I only hope this encourages many more people to do the same thing at future appearances of this joke of a president.
Harry,
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your comments to President Bush, whom I also resent as the most duplicitous, incompetent, heartless Commander and Chief this country has had in my lifetime. I let out a yelp in my car when I heard you on Air America Radio.
Sincerely,
Alan Jacobs
You have given voice all who have felt the shame you feel, the despair you appear to have, and the frustration at not being able to feel our place in this suppposed democratic country. Thank you so much.
You spoke for so many of us here in Brevard NC. You spoke so honestly and from your heart. We could never have delivered your message as calmly and credibly and effectively as you did. Thank you
Hi thanks for standing up to President Bush , We need more like you, thanks Harry Taylor, you ever wonder what Bush would be like hooked up to a lie detector,?Leon Calhoun Sidney, Ohio
Thank you so much Mr. Harry Taylor. You said so many of the things I have been thinking and feeling. For every boo that was heard in that room, there were 10,000
cheering you on from all over America. You are a true American, a true patriot. Thank you Harry. From VP
thank you harry taylor for getting a chance to let the president know how the american people feel . I feel like you our great country has lost a lot under this administrtion. the american people are tired of what is going on.
Your a brave man, and a true patriot. I got wind of your good deed via some American friends. Although I am Canadian, I follow US politics closely and I will not travel to the USA again until there is a responsible govenment in power. Believe me, globally, this administration has made the world a far more dangerous place - we all feel it’s impact but thank you muchly for sticking up for (all) us !
My gosh, there are true patriots still in this country willing under adverse circumstances (Bush’s usual sterile, pre-picked audience) to tell the truth. I speak for a living, and I could not have said anything better than Mr. Taylor did in his statement to Bush. I am hopeful again about my country.
Thank you Harry for speaking for my family and myself. What’s happening in this country today is frightening and you had the courage and opportunity to say so directly to our president.
THANK YOU THANK YOU Harry Taylor for saying what 70% of the American people would like to say to George W. I too am ashamed of the mess they have made at the White House. He is so arrogant that I am sure he still doesn’t get your message. Thanks anyway from those people who care about our country.
Thank you for speaking truth to power. Your voice is all of our voices screaming out from the vast wasteland of fake patriots. You sir are a true patriot! Thank you again.
Mahalo from Hawaii, Harry. I am so glad you found the opportunity to speak for the rest of us. You are amazing. I have been feeling so frustrated. Now I’m beginning to have hope.
I am so grateful to you for speaking up directly to our President. It took guts and you said exactly what so many of us want to say to him right now. I will be thinking of you and how you have changed the world by being so bold.
You have given the most significan speech since John F. Kennedy’s inauguration address. In fact, yours was more significant because it was more necessary. I hope every single person in this great country of ours reads your remarks and finally comes to understand what the Hell is going on.
Harry,
We are all so proud of you. You were so brave (and lucky to have been selected) and what you chose to say could not have been more eloquent. You are a true hero. Thank you so much for standing up for us all. Lynn
Cheers everywhere for you Harry! I hope this inspires more of us to speak out against this deceitful man we have for a President. You are truely brave and I feel there is hope for this country if we the dissenters still have the chance to raise our voices. Thank you.
I, too, thank you, but I fear for your safety. Bad thing seem to happen to those who cross bush. Be very careful and stay in the public eye. Let the press know if you become intimidated in any way;ie:IRS audit.
Thank you for saying what we all want to say.
Mr. Taylor, in the words of the kids, YOU ROCK! Thank you in every language on earth, because the earth is in danger from this administration. Bless you.
Harry, thank you for speaking for so many Americans. You were extremely courageous - it was almost a Normon Rockwell moment. These criminals are going down. They have lied to and cheated the American people and are to blame for the 2 thousand-plus young lives that have died needlessly and senselessly in Iraq.
YOU WERE TERRIFIC!!! We both were so surprised, pleased and proud that, FINALLY, someone like us was in a position to tell Bush what an unalterably lousy job he is doing as President. You covered Bill of Rights issues and the Environment in the first sentence. WOW!! It gave us a real lift!
Thank you for taking the opportunity and speaking out. It was a gust of fresh air for our ears (and lungs….)
I don’t know how you got past the “guards” and were able to speak your mind to Mr. Bush but I’m so very grateful that you managed to do it. You spoke so eloquently and I admire you for saying what so many of us would like to tell him.
Thank you, Harry Taylor, for your courage and wisdom. I don’t know if Bush will lose any sleep over your comments but it sounds like he listened. Most important, you are an inspirationto me and many, many others. I try to remember (and practice) this… all that is needed for evil to triumph is for good people to do nothing. Again, you are an inspiration. Thank you.
Harry, what you did in speaking to President Bush was courageous and forthright. I thank you for saying what many of us think but seldom say, especially in a hostile environment. Your calm manner was a major plus as well.
Thanks manmy times over for your superb statements at the Bush event. It is about time that we stod up on our hind legs and spoke out at the outrageous events that are robbing us of our liberties. How the media can continue to give him the velvet glove treatment boggles my mind. If something isn’t done soon, it will be a miracle if we survive the next 3 years. WAKE UP AMERICA see what is happening to us and how we are being manipulated by radio, cable “news” channels and corporate entities.
This started with Reagan, and the same band of idiots are still in charge, calling black white, up down, good bad. And some fall for it. God help us.
Dear Mr. Taylor,
The words which you spoke mirrored my thoughts and hoped would get past the gargoyls at the gates!! At last the honest feeling of Americans who sit in fear of the misdirected actions of this president and his associates has been challenged by an articulate person. Thank you so very much for your ability to spead Our mind.
Thank you, Mr. Taylor, for saying what so many of us would like to say, but never get the chance because of Bush’s “picked” town hall audiences. I don’t know how you got in there, but I wish a lot more people would do the same thing. You have a lot of courage to go in hostile territory to tell the truth as most of us see it.
I’m impressed, pleased, and grateful that you had the guts to stand up in that hostile environment and speak what’s on the minds of so many of us. Thank you.
Thank you, Harry Taylor, from Winnipeg, Canada. You have displayed more honour, integrity and courage in a handful of words than I can ever hope to in my lifetime.
Thank you Harry. It took guts to stand up and say what most of us have been feeling for years now. You are a hero. If just a handful of Senators and Congressmen would stand up and speak the unwavering truth that you projected yesterday in that hostile crowd Bush and his ilk would fall like a house of cards. You are the first, there will be more. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
Thank you so much, Harry Taylor, for your intelligent, dignified comments to a president whose arrogance seemingly knows no bounds. The very feel of America has changed these past five years. Much of that change is due to this president’s willful manipulation of people and facts to suit his selfish agenda. He came into office completely unable to perform the responsibilities of President such that it has declined into a mockery. He is an utter embarrassment to our country. I want my America back. Thank you for simply standing up and speaking for so many of us.
Thank you for saying what you did. It really made a difference, and I think it showed the leadership skills that you have. That was something I could not do myself…and for that, I owe you so much more thanks. You stood your ground, spoke eloquently, and brought together many people today.
I wish I could shake your hand, but it’s kind of hard to do that from New Jersey. :)
Thank you so much for your eloquant speech. I, too, feel ashamed. I am a traveler to many places on the planet, and never more have I been embarrased to say I am an American. Don’t worry about being booed—thosands support you—we were just simply not in that room. Thank you for taking a stand.
Bravo for you! I hope that you may have touched other Americans’ hearts.
I doubt the President’s was moved, since it’s been turned to stone some time ago.
You said what the majority of Americans would like to say to ‘W’ but don’t ever get the opportunity to say.
It took courage. It took heart. It took head.
Bravo from you, again!
Wow, it’s great that you spoke directly and eloquently to President Bush. It is inspiring for all of us to hear about your accomplishment. Your family must be proud. Hey, we are Family! Thank you so much, I’ll try to use your example to be brave in some way myself.
Thanks, Harry, for demonstrating one of the freedoms that we cherish.
I cannot imagine your being tolerated to make those comments in Nazi Germany, or in the Middle East except Israel.
Yes, it was refreshing to see your little confrontation and how simply it proves that we are not under a totalitarian regime.
Your action — like thousands that we see every day in the Free World, through our media and our elections and travel privileges — prove in its own small way that we do live in a safe and free land.
Harry,
Thank You for standing up and saying what so many of us have been feeling in our hearts for years. This speaks volumes to how subverted our right to speak our minds against this administration has become. One voice speaking but not alone. Thank you. Hopefully this will give more courage to the masses.
I wish to personally thank you for your courage to stand up and say what you did to the first president in the history of the United States to actively strip Americans of their Human Rights under the Constitution, which he is sworn to uphold.
Thank You Harry Taylor from the bottom of my heart.
Mr. Taylor,
Your calm delivery of such powerful words , so heartfelt and true, spoke for millions. I am reminded of the little boy who proclaimed loudly ,”The emperor has no clothes!” So many of us have known this and bemoaned the state of our country. Thank God YOU had the courage and ablilty to make yourself heard…first.
Hopefully this is the beginning of the watershed. May we all be reminded of our abilities and responsabilities to speak up for our country.
Thank you,
Thankyou! Thank you! Thank You! We are thrilled that someone finally got through a Bush-screened event and was able to tell W what so many of us are feeling–and directly to his face, with his lackeys and hand-picked shills watching and listening. What a joyful occurence! Why don’t we do this more often?
Harry, I don’t know how you got in, I don’t know how you managed to get to speak, and I don’t know how you kept your composure while speaking to interruptions of our sorry-excuse-for-a president and the boos of his flunky audience.
But thank god, you did it, and very eloquently, in a kindlier manner than w deserved.
I am a Cincinnati area private school teacher. A month or so ago arose the “Young Democrats Club” to try to offset the well-entrenched “Young Repulicans”.
Bit by bit, by baby steps like ours and the huge leap of yours, we shall overcome America’s political horror.
Richard Meister, that’s a load of crap. President Grant and Congress temporarily suspended habeas corpus in the 1870s in an effort to root out the Ku Klux Klan in South Carolina.
Thank you, Harry! Great job! You said what so many of us–including me!–are thinking and either aren’t brave enough, or don’t have the chance, to say right to this president who has been the head of such a damaging administration. I only read the transcript of the event, but your words were appropriate, intelligent, and really needed to be aired. Thanks again! You’re a wonderful person!
Harry, great job. You have great courage. You told it like it is. Whether President Bush wishes to admit it or not, you told the truth. Maybe since you have spoken up, there is something the rest of us Americans can do to get our point across to Washington. I certainly hope so. Thank you!
Thank you, Harry. It is so seldom that a person of intelligence and conscience gets a chance to speak to the president and receive national attention, that I was shocked whenI read the report this morning. You spoke well. I only hope more voices like yours can be heard more and more often. You did a great job!
THANK YOU SO MUCH for your courage!
You spoke for all of us — millions of progressives around the country, all of
whom would love to get the opportunity you had, to speak the truth to
George W. Bush.
Thank you Harry Taylor for speaking out so eloquently about what most
Americans feel, but have been stifeled and blocked from saying. Bush is a very dangerous man. I fear daily for what he will do in the next few years of his reign.
Harry I just want to say that what you did took alot of courage and bravery and I commend you on your efforts, but for a leadership blinded by its own self-interest and self-importance I dont think they really heard anything you had to say. I must say it was an excellent first step and I wish everyone had more opportunities to speak out. I appreciate what YOU have done for our country and hope that any negative attention you might recieve is overlooked because you did in-fact do the right thing. Thank you.
thank you for saying what you said and the manner in which you said it. i must confess that i would not have had the nerve to be that forthright and dispassionate or capable of maintaining the grace with which you stated Bush’s well diserved disdain.
High 5 to you Harry Taylor!! Have you thought about running for Congress, they need some backbone there. Thank you for being a voice for millions of Americans everywhere.
Dear Harry Taylor:
Thank you for having the courage to stand up, literally, and say calmy what we have all been wanting to shout about the way this administration is running and ruining our country. Your moment will last for a long time and has provided courage for all of us with your example of what one person with a voice can do.
Harry,
I am writing from the red state of Kentucky…I have felt powerless…without a voice…for 3+ years. Knowing that someone was able to break through the great wall of silence brings me hope. It’s like a light being turned on in a dark corner. So…thank you for speaking out, thank you for the ray of light you gave & thank you for setting the example for the rest of us.
Bless you, Harry Taylor, for being an American in the most honorable and historical sense of that term. I am proud that you are a citizen of my country. Keep speaking up!!!
Thank you for the determination and wisdom expressed in your remarks before President Bush. Your love of this country could not be mistaken. I’ve been waiting over five years to see the President confronted by the sincere disappointment and revulsion so many Americans feel in response to the crimes and ineptitude of his cabal. Whether it will change his heart is not the concern, it is knowing that finally he had to stand and listen to it. God bless.
Harry, GOD BLESS YOU! I have no idea how you got in to his meeting, and I have NO DOUBT he can’t figure it out either…he spouts about God, you spoke from your soul, and there is no answer for such honesty and integrity!!!! I too am ashamed, and HURRAHHHHH for you for saying it! the KING HAS NO CLOTHES!!!!!
Harry Taylor, I am so happy that you were able to get into a town hall secured
special invitation only people that supported the lame duck President. This is
something that needed to be said a long time ago. He has turned every country
against us with his arrogance and imperialistic Presidency like he is above the
law in anything he wishes to do along with VP CHeney. All of his meetings are
only with his supporters and I was so happy you were able to tell him what many
of us wanted to do. But you know we would never be included in any of his meetings unless we were one of his supporters. I applaued you and I hope more people will
begin speaking out. I have been voicing my opinion in our daily newspaper but
DIE HARD REPUBLICANS CANT SEE BESIDE THE NOSES.
Many thanks to you Harry Taylor. By proxy, you articulated the shame I feel when not overridden by my anger toward the leadership of my country. What went awry to have allowed ourselves to come to the plight we’re in?
Thank you Harry Taylor - Finally someone had the guts to stand up and say what intelligent people know to be true ! We were all standing with you as you voiced our opinions. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!! And remember people … if you are not outraged, you are NOT paying attention.
Harry,
Thank you for standing up and letting Pres. Bush know how you feel. Thousands of people agree with you, and it’s about time someone said it at one of his canned meetings. You are the man!
As an American citizen who has long been opposed to the Bush family politics, it brings me some peace of mind to know that our President has, WITH NO DOUBT, heard the opinions of many Americans, in one felt swoop!!!!!
Oh Harry, if only my representatives and senators were as brave as you are! If only they could be the leader that you are — standing tall, when it’s easier to shrink, saying the hard TRUTH, when it would be so easy to sit silent. I promise you, if I am ever in the position to do the same, I will. You are not alone in your feelings and we owe it to each other to do what you’ve done. Stand up, speak out. Everybody, everywhere.
Thank you (from a lot of people who read or heard about your heroic stance) for reminding MR. Bush (not Your Majesty) who his bosses are: the people of America, of which you are a fine example of. You’re the best!
Thank you for speaking your heart. As long as citizens such as you are willing to speak truth to power, there is hope for our democracy. Thank you for being a true patriot and American.
Thank you Harry!! I watched your questioning of hte president tonight on Countdown with Keith Olberman. When you finished speaking, my 11-year-old son and I applauded the television. We were proud of your courage, your message and the honorable way you expressed it. You stood up for millions of us yesterday and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Thank you Mr. Taylor for standing up and saying what so many of us feel. You may have been the minority in that room, but you are a member of the majority of this country. That, Mr. Taylor, took a great deal of courage.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Harry. You said what many of us have been afraid to say. Wonder of all wonders, the sky did not fall, and there has been an added benefit. Your standing up for what you believe has emboldened a lot of people, and we, the all-too-often silent, thoughtful and rational majority, owe you a lot.
Thank you Harry Taylor for speaking up for all of us. This President has turned
every country against us with his arrogance and imperialistic Presidency where
he believeshe is above the law with VP Cheney. We are slowly losing our privacy
and freedom and rights. He has ruined this country with his politics and views.
He has lied to us so many times it is pitiful. Now we find out when he leaks
classified information he makes the lie that he declassified it so it was not a leak
go figure. Thanks again HARRY Mansfield, Ohio
Thank you for your courage. You said what needed to be said, and what Bush needs to hear loudly and repeatedly. I doubt he will adress an unscreened crowd again. I hope you are not married to an undercover CIA agent, and that your tax returns are in order. Check your mail for anthrax. Bush will get even for embarrassing him. Give ‘em Hell, Harry!
Thank you, Harry! I seriously hope you’ll consider running for some sort of office. Right now what this country needs more than anything from its political leadership is the courage to speak the truth. Your actions yesterday proved that you meet that qualification. If you do feel the calling, contact Democracy for America…one of their major missions is to help grass-roots candidates figure out the political landscape. Good luck in whatever you do in the future, and, again, thank you!
Way to go, Harry! I am reminded of the story “The Emperor’s New Clothes.” Maybe someday the prez will realize that he hasn’t got anything on! Thanks for your courage to speak the truth, especially in that crowd of blind followers.
Thank you Harry! I can’t believe you got by the Republican guard. I often wondered if Bush’s handlers let him ever hear any of the negative things that are said about him. Now at least I know HE knows that someone is ashamed of him and his Administration. I couldn’t have said it better.
Thanks for speaking the truth, Mr. Taylor. This is suppsoed to be a democracy but with the Fascist Bush administration, freedom and democracy are just words, just rhetoric. I expect Bush and his cronies to send the FBI, IRS, etc. after Mr. Taylor for daring to defy them! Look what they did to a U.S. operative…they have no shame and will stiop at nothing to achieve their objectives. BUSH should be impeached for Treason!
When I heard you speak your mind and tell the President what real America is concerned about I was taken aback, in awe. Bush tried to sidestep your comments (yet again) with his sideshow clownage but you made him listen respectfully and honorably. Thanks for wiggling your way into his town hall! The American people, rather, the World thanks you!
Thank you, Harry, for speaking what is in the hearts of so many of us. Thank you for standing up honorably and saying what those who were supposedely elected to represent us have not had the courage to say. I hope that your honesty is contagious and spreads throughout the country to the vast majority of citizens who may now be ready to call this president and his party to account.
GIVE HIM HELL, HARRY!! I for one, am so proud of you. You were able to voice what we all think. It is the Harrys of this world that give me a sense of hope. Cudos to you and then more cudos. How in the world did you get into that meeting. We all know that they (the admins of Bush) hand pick who they let in. And then you managed to get to the mike…..WOW!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Harry!
Thanks Harry!! I am proud of you for standing up and saying what needs to be said!
I also wonder if he is ever ashamed of the mess he has made or if he has no conscience at all….I have emailed him and told him what I thought as well but I doubt he ever saw the comments, hope you see these. Keep up the good work! Katherine
Ever the paranoid person, I wonder if Bushes seeming compassion in shushing the ones who booed to “allow” you to speak, didn’t improve his ratings and take the sting out of his misguided decisions.
Dear Mr. Taylor - Thank you for saying what I would have wanted to say to President Bush. Only you did it more articulately than I could have, and held your own against his frat boy smirk and reply.
The White House now even makes it difficult to email them, so very little negative comments get to the White House, much less to the president.
I am greatful to you for exprssing my thoughts to him.
You spoke for a lot of Americans.

Today I turned on a news report on TV and sat down to watch. When I realized what was going on I was on my feet saying to myself “yes, someone is finally saying all the right things to our President. I couldn’t believe my ears but at the same time you surely made my day. Right on Harry. Thank you for doing the right thing.
Harry…..you are a hero!!! Thank you for speaking from your heart and saying what that man needs to hear!! Maybe it popped a little hole in that glass bubble he lives in. Like many have already said, it’s everything we all would want to say and more. If there were awards for blunt honesty, you’d be the winner!!!!!!! Blessed Be. Christina
Harry Taylor for President! Courage, honesty and unspun truth… all things we need to resuscitate America, none of which we’ve seen from this regime. No, George, you’re not my favorite guy. Harry Taylor is.
Harry, I am so grateful to you for saying what needed to be said. Everyday, I and milllions more want to say what you have said! what a huge relief to know that at least the deep feelings of betrayal of our sacred values, have been expressed to this puppet for the spread of despair! We are so proud and grateful that now, at leadt it has been said and covered, coast to coast! God bless you .
Thanks Harry!
Your succinct and candid “come to jesus” with the preznit was awesome!
And you didn’t even swear (like I would of).
You, my friend, are a true Patriot!
One of these days they will have to answer– I’m thinking Nov 06 and 08!!!!
Thank you Harry and brave one in Utah. I am proud to be an American and will strive to meet the standards that you, Harry Taylor, have set for standing up and speaking out in a civilized manner. I hope all concerned citizens with take notice. We can stand up and speak up with civility. Hear, Hear.
Dear Harry Taylor: I read about you this morning in the New York Times and was so excited by your courage and articulate expression of what so many Americans would like to say to this President. Congratulations!!! Rita Stewart
Your words to our President truely reflect my sentiments. My hats is off to you, Harry Taylor. We can only hope that his ears work and he has some concept of shame. Thank you for saying what needed to be said,
I appreciated Mr. Taylor’s poise and thoughtfulness and his direct person to person address to Mr. Bush as much as I appreciated his sentiments. Thank you Harry Taylor.
Harry, I just witnessed your courageous and dignified comments to the President on Fox News. You put into words the dismay and fear I feel at the erosion of civil liberties by the Bush Administration and by its wanton neglect of the will of the evolved majority–for a cleaner environment, a more humane policy abroad, and a respect for the democratic principles on which this nation was built. You spoke eloquently and respectfully and in a way that commands attention–something our president has been unable to do since he entered office/
I applaud Mr. Taylor for his articulate pronouncement of the truth, even though I’m sure it went on dysfunctional ears. Mr. Taylor speaks for the majority of the American public. George W is clearly the zealot of his own hallucination(s) and a bilogical insult to us all. In fact, in 1999 his own father said: “I have nothing but contempt and anger for those who betray our trust. They are, in my view, the most insidious of traitors.”
Thank you Harry for your strength and powerful words directed to GWBush. You have eloquently expressed what I, myself, would have liked to say to that individual.
Thank you Harry Taylor. You are a man of true courage. You have spoken the words that so many of us wish we could have the chance to say. Maybe for the first time in 5 years Mr. Bush won’t be able to go to sleep at 9:30pm. You are a man we can all look up to.
I silently cheered you on, Harry, as I watched you direct your heartfelt comments to our bungling commander-in-chief. What a great moment for those of us left of center, and how refreshing that you were allowed to speak. Your eloquence and courage was very much appreciated.
Thank you Harry. I’m a Texan, and it gets tough around here for people who don’t fawn all over W. You got my wife and I fired up again! Also, it was very classy at the end to thank him for letting you speak. Kudos to you.
Thank you, Harry. You are a true patriot. It took a great deal of courage to stand up in that hostile arena. (Unfortunately, the Democrats are too cowardly to tell the truth.)
You and Cindy Sheehan are my heroes.
Thank you Harry! Your articulate blurb slid through the government’s media cloak. I appreciate that your comments were straightforward and eloquent, and not preached out of anger. You are a shinning spokesperson of the opposition.
Thank you Harry! What we all wanted to say and with so much class! Also thank you for your dedication and courage getting through Bush’s thugs and handpicked audience.
From the day he “won” the election in 2000 to this very day, this fool of a president has tangled himself in doublespeak and lies. Finally, someone named Harry got the chance to put Bush down-to his face-his smirking, unapologetic face-as usual, he stumbled around for words in his response-isn’t he just a laugh riot? So clever! He has always been rather impaired-how anyone could have voted for him after the 2004 debates is a complete mystery to me. I hope this cheating, lying, full of crap president gets what he deserves-and soon.
Thank you, Harry, for verbalizing what many Americans think, but don’t get the chance to say to the dolt who is unfortunately our president. Just watching the smirk on that provincial twit’s face during your statement shows what sort of man Bush is: not much of one. He is a perfect example of what happens when ignorance is combined with arrogance. Disaster.
Thank you Harry! I am from the red state of Georgia where I am constantly exposed to Bush/Cheney bumper stickers. You have encouraged me to continue, in my frustration against the madness, to stand against everything that George Bush has done. Your calm courage to confront him on issues that matter to me was appreciated.
Thank you for doing what nearly every self respecting American Citizen should be doing; confronting King George Bush the W, and calling him to account. That sir, took real courage, the type that is very absent in Washington, DC. One by one, you and others like you, are starting to call into question why this person — who cracks jokes when it it totally inapproperate — is the most powerful man in the world. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Thanks Harry, you are a true and honest man with courage and convictions. I really appreciate your standing up to the man who is posing as our leader and speaking your mind despite his petty attempts at humor.
Dear Mr. Taylor, Thank you for giving voice to what I, and obviously others, have felt for a long time, the greatest shame that Bush, Cheney and others in their group have been the voice and face of our nation abroad, and dismay at their abuse of power here and in other countries. Thank you for your courage and for doing so in such a gracious way.
Mr. Taylor, thank you for your courage and your courtesy. You made the liberal case to the nation better than all the politicians have in five years, and did it with class. You make me proud again to be an American.
Thank you Harry Taylor for having the courage to face down The Monster. It must have been a shocking experience for the Master of Lies to hear the truth so clearly and forcefully spoken. Your courage and eloquence have made you an American hero.
You are a real patriot, Harry Taylor. I’ve often wondered if our President realizes the depth of intelligence and dedication to American values that exists in our country, as he usually gives the impression he thinks we can all be hoodwinked by rhetoric, taken in by what he says, (in contrast to the actions of his administration behind the scenes), fooled by the names of bills which are actually the reverse of what the legislation will actually permit unscrupulous persons to do to our environment.
Harry — Thank you. For all of us and for the sake of the country, you spoke the truth that so many of us have felt for so long with tremendous frustration. THANK YOU HARRY! Thank you.
Dear Harry–You are my HERO—Living in San Antonio Texas no one dares to say a bad word about the dolt in the Whitehouse All Kerry stickers were removed from cars in the last election.or rude remarkes made. We commend you for taking a stand. Thank you. Shirley and Bill Ryan
Give em hell Harry!! Thank you for your courage and insight to take the opportunity when given one, to tell George Bush what rural America feels. Keep up the good work you do for all of us. Blessings!
Harry Taylor, you are a gentleman and a scholar… Not to mention a true patriot! What you did was inspired! I am proud again to be an American. That there are still people out there who are willing to stand up for what is right proves to me that we are a country who fought for independence and that we are ready to take this great nation back! What you did and said gave voice to so many. And it is that type of courage and eloquence that from this country’s inception, has made it a great place to live. So I say, thank you Harry Taylor for making me proud to be an American again. Harry for President 2008!
Thank you, Mr. Taylor. You have summarized in a few sentences, the frustration and rage I have felt for five years. I never thought anyone other than the president’s sycophants would be in a position to speak directly to him. THANK YOU!
Thank you Harry!!
You have single-handedly re-awakened the true American spirit and inspired millions of people who otherwise had all but given up hope for out nation!! The combination of Delay’s fall from grace- Bush’s “leak” and Gonzales’s condoning of spying within our borders, should be more than enough ammo for impeachment proceedings to begin!! Thank you again!!
Harry - YOU ROCK! We all need to start to speak up. If the people lead the leaders MUST follow. Don’t know how you got into one of the prescreened ‘Town Hall’ gigs, but what ever works - it got you in to say what the people needed to hear. (Bush will never realize himself)
Thank you, Harry, for standing up and speaking what you believe to the president. I appreciated your words and your tone. Such respectful disagreement is not seen too often in these parts. I too have never felt so ashamed of my country’s presence in the world as I do now. I have never felt so powerless to stop the wrong that’s being done. Yet, you stood up to the president and I feel more hopeful. Thanks again for inspiring the rest of us to keep speaking the truth to power.
I am not physically able to attend events to show support for people who are speaking out for truth, accountability, and all things that a real democracy should reflect so I would like to thank you for stepping up and very politely and eloquently voicing what many of us feel about the direction this administration is taking our country.
It was great to finally see someone hold Bush responsible for his many terrrible actions. Hopefully our elected officials will follow your lead. Thank you so much Harry !!
Finally!!! YOU are the NEW AMERICAN HERO!! Thank you so much Harry!! I wish more and more americans would stand up and claim their country back! Thank you again!
With people like you we can overcome this regressive administration and win back our freedom. The corporate press, congress and our senators will take note of the grass roots support of outspoken individuals like you and maybe get the guts to speak out against the tyranny of lies, deceit and bad judgement of this administration. You give me hope in these dark times. If we play our cards right, we can earn the majority in November and get back to helping all our neighbors here and abroad have a better life.
Harry, YOU ROCK!!! When I heard you speak I felt like you were speaking for me. I wanted to be there standing next to you. So I wrote your name “HARRY TAYLOR”.
I don’t know why I did that but it felt like that was a conection. Your name is still on my kitchen table. I’m going to keep it there.
Thanks for not only speaking the truth, but doing so with intelligence, dignity and restraint. I didn’t realize Bush was allowing people who disagree with him into his meetings, so I’ll take that, at least, as a tiny improvement in his disastrous policies. I wonder how it feels to be famous around the world as the one who finally got to tell Bush what we all wanted to say.
For standing up and saying what millions of other Americans want to but haven’t had the opportunity to, an enormous THANK YOU HARRY TAYLOR!!! You are a hero!!!!
You spoke for me in your remarks to the President (which I’d prefer to write with a small ‘p’). Your courage and eloquence is right on. I feel certain that Bush has let it wash over him like vomit and will never refer to it again. However, you probably have energized many others.
Thank god some one had the fortitude to say what Mr. Taylor said, and the tenacity to actually get in the event. These events are so filter so that no one with an anti-Bush opinion can get it. Let get rid of these guys in November and in 2008. It’s time to take our country back from these corrupt ignorant people.
You are a true American. You said everything I would love to say to Bush and I am proud of you. I just wish all americans had the courage you showed and maybe we could get our country back. I dont feel this is America any longer. Lets all make sure we are out their voting in November. LETS GET OUR COUNTRY BACK.
I could not believe my ears when the clip of your words to Bush came on my television. You are a man of courage…..thank you for speaking for so many Americans who are fed up with being labeled “Un-Patriotic” for disagreeing with the Bush Doctrine. We must take back our country and our Democracy amd to do this, it will take many more of us speaking out. You inspire us all. Thank you.
You said what so many of us feel and so few ever have an opportunity to say. Thank you. I was impressed with how much you said in such a short period of time. Well done!
Rick
Thank you Harry Taylor. Thank you for being smart enough to figure out how to get to a microphone and say what you said. From your example the President will face more people who attend his events and ask hard questions. Good work!
Since 2000, the lunatics have been running the asylum. Black’s been white, up’s been down. Harry, thanks for having the sense, sincerity and guts to call things as you see them in this public forum. Finally, you have put a human face on the frustration and despair felt by all citizens with a little grey matter between their ears. You should be so proud of yourself. THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING!!
Thank you, thank you! It is so refreshing to have someone express so eloquently the thoughts of so many of us. The sense of shame because of this administration is almost overwhelming at times. How can we ever explain this to our grandchildren?
Thank you for your words of truth! . . . I can only hope this administration - and the rest of the country - wakes up before this country, and everything it has stood for, goes down the tube!
Thank you, Harry. You reminded us in a simple, dignified way what democracy is all about. I was proud to be an American. And it has been many years since I have felt that way.
How I wish I could have actually heard you at the aforementioned event. Your courage and calm in delivering this message of truth to a clueless, mean spirited, self serving sham of a president in a hostile environment are nothing short of astounding. I had lapsed into an apathetic depression over this group of Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Rice with their relentless lying arrogance, and finally, a voice breaks through–yours. My gratitude to you is boundless. Thanks a million times over, Harry. God Bless You.
Thank-you on behalf of a proud American on the West Coast. The shame you feel in our leadership is shared by over half of the country. That shame has turned to pride in light of your respectful and exceedingly appropriate remarks. I stand and applaud you sir! YOU are a proud example of what America really represents!
Harry- You did what some of us would have loved to do, I am from Fayetteville, N.C. but now live in Ca. I wish I could have been there. But I was watching on Satellite T V and I said Amen & clapped my hands when I saw what you did. You had him so off guard he couldn’t hardly speak, Plus he only answered the first part of your statement type questions. He is so out of touch with we the people, I really don’t think he cares one bit about what we think, he is so arrogant. Thanks again.
Dear Harry
Thank you for your quiet dignified expression of outrage. I heard it on Randi Rhodes show and I was struck by how even your voice was…no shouting, no ranting. Just a simple statement of disgust and dismay at the utter failure of political leadership in Washington, notably in the White House. Thank you for saying what so many of us are thinking.
Randi Rhodes said this afternoon that Bush has been leaking intelligence since he was born so no wonder that he is now running on empty!
But, your tank is full!
Debbie Blair
Dear Mr. Taylor, Just want to let you know how much my family and I respect and admirer your courage for expressing our and so many other’s views yesterday since we don’t have the opportunity to do so ourselves. You are very courageous and I only wish we had a few politicians on our behalf like you who had the gut’s to stand up to this President as you did. You are my newfound hero and I only wish you could represent my beliefs and opinions in all political debate’s. Thanks again Mr. Taylor. I think I’m in love with you. Sincerely, Bonnie Hart
Thank you thank you thank you Harry Taylor. Not only did you say what every “Democrat” in congress, and Republican for that matter, should have said long ago, you did it calmly and clearly in the face of a hostile crowd. I don’t know how you got in to that “town hall” meeting, but I hope someone with as much bravery and common sense will make it in to every other public event in which that babbling heartless fool appears at.
Dear Harry,
Clap, clap, clap calp ,calp, clap, clap, clap, clapppppppppppppppppppppppppppp
You just got a much deserved standing ovation from Snellville, Ga.
Sincerely,
JB
Dear Mr. Taylor,
Please add my Thank you to the other thousands from around the country. I first heard your comments on our local independent radio station (WMNF Tampa) while in my car. I was so impressed by how articulate you were - in a very difficult place you were able to express your feelings and the feelings of so many other Americans. It’s one thing to constantly complain about our so called President (which I do all the time), but to stand in front of him and say it to his face takes real courage and composure. Your comments have been repeated on television stations and in newspapers, one person can make a difference.
Thank you!!! Theresa Gallagher, Lakeland Florida
Thank you, Harry, for saying what so many of us think and feel. This whole country is scaring me. We are heading in the wrong direction. I am amazed at the number of people who just don’t seem to care that we’ve been lied to and mislead. We have to all start speaking out.
I know my thank you isn’t nearly enough, but what you did was amazing. With grace and clarity you expressed my sentiments exactly. Mr Bush should be ashamed, his father and mother should be ashamed, every Republican in Congress, and every major media outlet should be ashamed. All of these people have let this perverse farce that is the G. W. Bush administration go on its merry way without any words of repremand.
Thank you Harry !! We laughed… then we cried. The running of our country has become a pathetic joke. Let’s all stand up… just like you on April 15th…. THANKS SO MUCH HARRY !!
Thank you, Harry Taylor from the bottom of my heart and the depth of my soul.
You have done what no other journalist, reporter or politician (Republican or Democrat) has been able or had the nerve to do and that is to speak the truth to power and crush hypocrisy.
You are my Hero. You give me hope that through truth, honesty and speaking out as loud as we are able; we, as Americans can come together and bring light to the darkness that has fallen over this nation and right the wrongs that have been done to our country and the world in our name by the madmen in this administration.
BFS
Thanks Harry, for having the courage to say what many of us wish we had said. I admire your calm response in the face of unfreindly environment. This president should be ashame of himself for sacrificing the future of our country in order to serve his own selfish interest. He should go doen in history as the president that couldn’t. Thank you for speaking the truth.
Dear Harry,
I know that you do speak for many of us in San Francisco. I appreciate your truthful and heartfelt comments - and particularly the respectful way in which you offered them. My hope is that those of us who oppose the current Bush Adminstration policies of aggression, divisiveness and lack of compassion will counter with the truth, commitment, clear thinking and compassion that really can change the world. (I feel sad that a few of the comments posted here sound so cutting - because I feel the need to respect others - particularly those whom I stand in opposition to).
I applaud your courage and your words.
With thanks,
Tomi
Dear Mr.Taylor,
I was very proud of you for having the courage to stand up and say “the Emperor has no clothes.” Putting yourself on the line in these troubled times, shows a great deal of courage. You have my deepest thanks.
Sincerely,
Mark Smith
Ponca City, Ok.
Thanks Mr. Taylor for having the nerve to stand up and say what needed to be said. I think this president is completely out of touch with what is going on in this country. He has no plans for the war except to keep saying we are turning the corner. He is out trying to promote a failed health care program while young men are dying. He has leaked sensitive information and has blown the cover of an Intelligence Agent. It just goes on and on. I dont know where the country will end up in another three years.
Thank you Harry for demonstrating so PLAINLY the level of FREEDOM we enjoy in this country (where else can you criticize a president to his face). Thank you for being frank about your KOOKY LEFTIST opinions. Thank Bush that he was so gracious to you.
Finally,
Thank you Harry for showing how ridiculous your hatred of Bush is….
Harry, you voiced in person to our (ahemmmm) so called president, what I have been thinking for a long time, and you said it so clearly and eloquently.
Thank You, Harry.
I, too, have never been more ashamed of the leadership of this country than I am now. Thank you for tellling George how many of us feel.
Thank You Harry! I was watching yet another depressing Bush Town Hall Meeting, and suddenly-you appeared……Brought tears to my eyes! Why more Americans are not doing exactly as you-is beyond me..So many talk the talk-but you Sir-walked the walk!.I hope that in watching you stand up and speak-it will motivate many more……You should be proud! A true American!
Thank you for standing up for millions of us who do not get a chance. You were right on with your comments. Keep doing what you are doing for all of us!!!!!!!!!
Thank you, Mr. Taylor for your courage. You spoke what so many of us believe, with such a clear, steady and eloquent voice. I imagine it is the first time in years Bush has heard anything like that. I hope your voice inspires others to speak out as well.
Bless you for speaking up and for so many of us. I particularly appreciate how you thanked Bush for allowing you to speak. Your graciousness carries more weight than an angry retort would have. If bush only had the guts to listen, he would understand the value of what you said. What scares me the most about Bush is the outright destruction of our American civil liberties, and his wonton destruction of human life in Iraq. I feel significantly less safe as an American traveling abroad since his presidency than I ever did before his terms in office.
Thank you again for saying what you did.
Hallelujah !!! I am so proud of you. You’ve done what our elected leaders have not had the guts to do and you’ve put them all to shame. Thank you so very much, especially for alluding to the arrogant, frightening leadership we
are finally waking up to… and the shame he should feel for every life lost in this dumb war…U.S. and Iraqi.
Thanks, Harry - for standing up and speaking for American women who are tired of Bush’s authoritarian and paternalistic approach to ‘freedom’…and your critics? They’re all just spouting the same rhetoric that comes out of the Bush camp because they can’t come up with anything intelligent or thoughtful to say. As Forrest Gump so eloquently says (or was it his mother?), “Stupid is as stupid does,” and the president and his fans prove that every day. Your actions didn’t embarrass you as your critics are saying; they brought to light the embarrassment that many Americans feel about living in a country full of ignorant sheep. You rock!
It’s refreshing to see an event like this which is not limited to Republican sycophants. That you were able to express the feelings of millions was great.
Let us hope that there is no retrobution for your exercise of free speech!
Harry - you said exactly what I would have wanted to but you said it ever so much more politely. You made your points in a reasonable, honorable way. Thank you! Your values are my values. They are American values. We are NOT loony liberals. We are the people.
Thank you, Harry Taylor, for being a voice for all of us who will never get the chance to speak our minds to George Bush and his “friends”. We appreciate the fact that you stood up to his hand picked fan club and proceeded to express your opinions, and ours! Thanks again from Tennessee!
This needs to be communicated to our nation, and perhaps, if free speech can still be broadcasted, this could be ruled a ground rule triple. Now, if the Nation listens, we may have scored a run.
All my praise to Harry and let the people be heard!!!
Harry - Thank you. You spoke from the bottom of your heart what has been boiling up in mine for the past half a decade. I applaude your c ourage and conviction - your humility and your well mannered delivery. I’ll keep it brief and simply say thank you for your insipiration. We all need to put our two cents forth as elloquently and effectively as you have put them to Mr. Bush.
Todd Pries
Thank you Harry Taylor. Words cannot express how proud I felt hearing your words. Although our president does not appear to feel any sense of shame, I as an American, am ashamed of our actions. No man of character could cause the harm that Bush has caused to this entire planet through his decisions and not feel some remorse, but he seems oblivious to all of it. I am a proud American and I support our troops and our veterans at every opportunity - but I will never support a war that was based on falsehoods and entered into with reckless abandon. With the world watching us after 9-11 we could have made a stand against terrorists and found allies in every corner. Instead we are hated because we acted like a bully and through our actions caused far more death and destruction than the hijackers.
He spies and lies and finally you said to his face what so many of us have thought.
Thank you for speaking for all of us.
I appreciate you speaking up Harry! We need more of you speaking the truth to this corrupt administration! Thank you for speaking! You are more of a patriot than all of us who fear to speak..
Thank you for your heroic statement to George W. Bush. I hope that somewhere in his confused muddled way of thinking that you planted a seed of doubt in that “I’m on the side of God and therefore never wrong”, veneer he has emeshed himself with and is reinforced by all of the suck ups he is surrounded with.
Perhaps that is why he let you speak because he feels a desperate need to hear the truth and no one on his team will speak it.
By a gentle simple statement you make us proud to be Americans again.

nbsp;thankyouharrytaylor.org was just mentioned on Olbermann on MSNBC.

April 7th, 2006 at 5:41 pm
Thank you, Harry Taylor, for being a true American and for having the courage to speak out and say (so eloquently) what most of would like to have said. We’re old, but not too old to remember this country the way we wish it was now. Perhaps with more people like you, it’ll be our America again–a country we can be proud of.
April 7th, 2006 at 5:43 pm
Thank you Harry, for speaking clearly for so many Americans. You help us to realize we all have to stand together to help run this country right, from local to national and internationl policy.
April 7th, 2006 at 5:43 pm
Not thank you Harry Sir, but Thank you Sir Harry. You said what so many of us older retired Americans want to say to this president who was not elected by most of us. You go guy!!!
April 7th, 2006 at 5:45 pm
Thank you for telling Bush what most of USA citizens and the world think of him. He is a disgrace and a danger to the world and its creatures.
April 7th, 2006 at 5:46 pm
Thank you Harry Taylor for the courage to say what was needed to be said.
April 7th, 2006 at 5:49 pm
Thank You, Henry Taylor, for the ability to get into one of the presidents prescreened events and the courage to express the view of millions and millions of patriotic Americans who are alarmed by his almost unbelievable incompetence on all levels of executive function, as well as his overwhelming and offensive hubris .
April 7th, 2006 at 5:53 pm
Thanks, Harry.
April 7th, 2006 at 5:55 pm
Harry, Harry, Harry……..I can’t put it any other way than Thank You!! I doubt that your couragous and honest opinion to Bush will change how he operates but you gave a voice for a lot of people - and you made so many of us once again proud to be American!
April 7th, 2006 at 5:56 pm
Harry Taylor,
You are my hero! Thank you for having courage to President Bush what millions of us would like to say about this administration. Bravo!
April 7th, 2006 at 5:58 pm
Thank you Harry!! You made me proud!
April 7th, 2006 at 6:00 pm
FROM RAY.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:01 pm
Thank you, Harry Taylor, for having the guts to publicly embarass this extremely incompetant man who is our president. I watched your performance on Countdown With Keith Olbermann on MSNBC. bush’s smirking attempt to make a comedy of it only magnified his stupidity, as he tried and failed to come up with some kind of answer for your comments. I only hope this encourages many more people to do the same thing at future appearances of this joke of a president.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:04 pm
Harry,
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your comments to President Bush, whom I also resent as the most duplicitous, incompetent, heartless Commander and Chief this country has had in my lifetime. I let out a yelp in my car when I heard you on Air America Radio.
Sincerely,
Alan Jacobs
April 7th, 2006 at 6:06 pm
You have given voice all who have felt the shame you feel, the despair you appear to have, and the frustration at not being able to feel our place in this suppposed democratic country. Thank you so much.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:10 pm
You spoke for so many of us here in Brevard NC. You spoke so honestly and from your heart. We could never have delivered your message as calmly and credibly and effectively as you did. Thank you
April 7th, 2006 at 6:12 pm
Hi thanks for standing up to President Bush , We need more like you, thanks Harry Taylor, you ever wonder what Bush would be like hooked up to a lie detector,?Leon Calhoun Sidney, Ohio
April 7th, 2006 at 6:16 pm
Thank you so much Mr. Harry Taylor. You said so many of the things I have been thinking and feeling. For every boo that was heard in that room, there were 10,000
cheering you on from all over America. You are a true American, a true patriot. Thank you Harry. From VP
April 7th, 2006 at 6:16 pm
thank you harry taylor for getting a chance to let the president know how the american people feel . I feel like you our great country has lost a lot under this administrtion. the american people are tired of what is going on.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:17 pm
Harry you made us all proud. You spoke your mind clearly and confidently in the face of a room full of opposition. You’ve inspired me and many others.
Well done!
April 7th, 2006 at 6:18 pm
Hullo Harry,
Your a brave man, and a true patriot.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:18 pm
My gosh, there are true patriots still in this country willing under adverse circumstances (Bush’s usual sterile, pre-picked audience) to tell the truth. I speak for a living, and I could not have said anything better than Mr. Taylor did in his statement to Bush. I am hopeful again about my country.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:19 pm
Thanks so much for leading the politicians to do what they must to stop the distruction of our democracy. Best wishes.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:19 pm
Thank you Harry for speaking for my family and myself. What’s happening in this country today is frightening and you had the courage and opportunity to say so directly to our president.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:19 pm
THANK YOU THANK YOU Harry Taylor for saying what 70% of the American people would like to say to George W. I too am ashamed of the mess they have made at the White House. He is so arrogant that I am sure he still doesn’t get your message. Thanks anyway from those people who care about our country.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:20 pm
Dear Mr. Taylor,
Thank you for speaking truth to power. Your voice is all of our voices screaming out from the vast wasteland of fake patriots. You sir are a true patriot! Thank you again.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:20 pm
Thank you, Mr. Taylor, for speaking OUR mind.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:21 pm
Dear Harry, your to the point comments make me want to sing the old song, I’m just wild about Harry…. Keep it up, my friend, and thanks a bunch.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:21 pm
Mahalo from Hawaii, Harry. I am so glad you found the opportunity to speak for the rest of us. You are amazing. I have been feeling so frustrated. Now I’m beginning to have hope.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:22 pm
Harry,
I am so grateful to you for speaking up directly to our President. It took guts and you said exactly what so many of us want to say to him right now. I will be thinking of you and how you have changed the world by being so bold.
Thank you so much,
Tina
April 7th, 2006 at 6:22 pm
Harry.
You have given the most significan speech since John F. Kennedy’s inauguration address. In fact, yours was more significant because it was more necessary. I hope every single person in this great country of ours reads your remarks and finally comes to understand what the Hell is going on.
Thanks. And don’t stop.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:22 pm
I am honored to be able to say thank you to a patriot. Thank you Harry Taylor.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:22 pm
Thank you Harry Taylor and how did you get into one of W’s caned events?
April 7th, 2006 at 6:22 pm
Thank you so much for having the courage t0 speak up. Also, thank you for standing fast when you received the boos from so many.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:23 pm
Harry,
We are all so proud of you. You were so brave (and lucky to have been selected) and what you chose to say could not have been more eloquent. You are a true hero. Thank you so much for standing up for us all. Lynn
April 7th, 2006 at 6:23 pm
Cheers everywhere for you Harry! I hope this inspires more of us to speak out against this deceitful man we have for a President. You are truely brave and I feel there is hope for this country if we the dissenters still have the chance to raise our voices. Thank you.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:24 pm
I, too, thank you, but I fear for your safety. Bad thing seem to happen to those who cross bush. Be very careful and stay in the public eye. Let the press know if you become intimidated in any way;ie:IRS audit.
Thank you for saying what we all want to say.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:24 pm

Harry, you are a true American.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:24 pm

Thank you Harry Taylor!
April 7th, 2006 at 6:25 pm
Thank you, Harry Taylor, for your courage and wisdom. I don’t know if Bush will lose any sleep over your comments but it sounds like he listened. Most important, you are an inspirationto me and many, many others. I try to remember (and practice) this… all that is needed for evil to triumph is for good people to do nothing. Again, you are an inspiration. Thank you.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:25 pm
Harry, what you did in speaking to President Bush was courageous and forthright. I thank you for saying what many of us think but seldom say, especially in a hostile environment. Your calm manner was a major plus as well.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:25 pm
April 7th, 2006 at 6:25 pm
Dear Mr. Taylor,
The words which you spoke mirrored my thoughts and hoped would get past the gargoyls at the gates!! At last the honest feeling of Americans who sit in fear of the misdirected actions of this president and his associates has been challenged by an articulate person. Thank you so very much for your ability to spead Our mind.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:25 pm
Thank you, Mr. Taylor, for saying what so many of us would like to say, but never get the chance because of Bush’s “picked” town hall audiences. I don’t know how you got in there, but I wish a lot more people would do the same thing. You have a lot of courage to go in hostile territory to tell the truth as most of us see it.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:25 pm
I’m impressed, pleased, and grateful that you had the guts to stand up in that hostile environment and speak what’s on the minds of so many of us. Thank you.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:26 pm
Thank you, Harry Taylor, from Winnipeg, Canada. You have displayed more honour, integrity and courage in a handful of words than I can ever hope to in my lifetime.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:26 pm
Thank you Harry. It took guts to stand up and say what most of us have been feeling for years now. You are a hero. If just a handful of Senators and Congressmen would stand up and speak the unwavering truth that you projected yesterday in that hostile crowd Bush and his ilk would fall like a house of cards. You are the first, there will be more. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:27 pm
Thank you so much, Harry Taylor, for your intelligent, dignified comments to a president whose arrogance seemingly knows no bounds. The very feel of America has changed these past five years. Much of that change is due to this president’s willful manipulation of people and facts to suit his selfish agenda. He came into office completely unable to perform the responsibilities of President such that it has declined into a mockery. He is an utter embarrassment to our country. I want my America back. Thank you for simply standing up and speaking for so many of us.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:27 pm
What can I say? Wow…just, wow.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:27 pm
thank you Harry for your courageous and steady comments. let’s hope it gets on the tube over and over again.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:27 pm
Thank you so much for your eloquant speech. I, too, feel ashamed. I am a traveler to many places on the planet, and never more have I been embarrased to say I am an American. Don’t worry about being booed—thosands support you—we were just simply not in that room. Thank you for taking a stand.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:27 pm
Bravo for you! I hope that you may have touched other Americans’ hearts.
I doubt the President’s was moved, since it’s been turned to stone some time ago.
You said what the majority of Americans would like to say to ‘W’ but don’t ever get the opportunity to say.
It took courage. It took heart. It took head.
Bravo from you, again!
This is what we need to do:

Wow, it’s great that you spoke directly and eloquently to President Bush. It is inspiring for all of us to hear about your accomplishment. Your family must be proud. Hey, we are Family! Thank you so much, I’ll try to use your example to be brave in some way myself.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:28 pm
Thanks, Harry, for demonstrating one of the freedoms that we cherish.
I cannot imagine your being tolerated to make those comments in Nazi Germany, or in the Middle East except Israel.
Yes, it was refreshing to see your little confrontation and how simply it proves that we are not under a totalitarian regime.
Your action — like thousands that we see every day in the Free World, through our media and our elections and travel privileges — prove in its own small way that we do live in a safe and free land.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:28 pm
Harry,
Thank You for standing up and saying what so many of us have been feeling in our hearts for years. This speaks volumes to how subverted our right to speak our minds against this administration has become. One voice speaking but not alone. Thank you. Hopefully this will give more courage to the masses.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:28 pm
Harry,
I wish to personally thank you for your courage to stand up and say what you did to the first president in the history of the United States to actively strip Americans of their Human Rights under the Constitution, which he is sworn to uphold.
Thank You Harry Taylor from the bottom of my heart.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:29 pm
Mr. Taylor,
Your calm delivery of such powerful words , so heartfelt and true, spoke for millions.
Thank you,
April 7th, 2006 at 6:30 pm
Thankyou! Thank you! Thank You! We are thrilled that someone finally got through a Bush-screened event and was able to tell W what so many of us are feeling–and directly to his face, with his lackeys and hand-picked shills watching and listening. What a joyful occurence! Why don’t we do this more often?
April 7th, 2006 at 6:30 pm
April 7th, 2006 at 6:31 pm
Richard Meister, that’s a load of crap. President Grant and Congress temporarily suspended habeas corpus in the 1870s in an effort to root out the Ku Klux Klan in South Carolina.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:31 pm
Harry,
Thank you for being so courageous! You took the words right out of my mouth. Right on, Harry.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:31 pm
Thank you, Harry! Great job! You said what so many of us–including me!–are thinking and either aren’t brave enough, or don’t have the chance, to say right to this president who has been the head of such a damaging administration. I only read the transcript of the event, but your words were appropriate, intelligent, and really needed to be aired. Thanks again! You’re a wonderful person!
April 7th, 2006 at 6:32 pm
Harry, great job. You have great courage. You told it like it is. Whether President Bush wishes to admit it or not, you told the truth. Maybe since you have spoken up, there is something the rest of us Americans can do to get our point across to Washington. I certainly hope so. Thank you!
Let’s Roll America.

April 7th, 2006 at 6:32 pm
Thank you, Harry. It is so seldom that a person of intelligence and conscience gets a chance to speak to the president and receive national attention, that I was shocked whenI read the report this morning. You spoke well. I only hope more voices like yours can be heard more and more often. You did a great job!
April 7th, 2006 at 6:32 pm
Thanks Harry!
April 7th, 2006 at 6:32 pm
Harry:
THANK YOU SO MUCH for your courage!
You spoke for all of us — millions of progressives around the country, all of
whom would love to get the opportunity you had, to speak the truth to
George W. Bush.
You showed true class and “grit”
Keep up the good work,
God Bless You

Thank you Harry Taylor for willing to stand up and be counted. You are a light upon the hill on an otherwise dark day.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:33 pm
Thank you for telling the President what he sorely needs to hear. Hopefully he not only listened but acutally heard your message.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:33 pm
Thank you Harry Taylor for speaking out so eloquently about what most
Americans feel, but have been stifeled and blocked from saying. Bush is a very dangerous man. I fear daily for what he will do in the next few years of his reign.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:33 pm
your extraordinary courage gives hope to all of us little people. thank you!
April 7th, 2006 at 6:33 pm
Harry I just want to say that what you did took alot of courage and bravery and I commend you on your efforts, but for a leadership blinded by its own self-interest and self-importance I dont think they really heard anything you had to say. I must say it was an excellent first step and I wish everyone had more opportunities to speak out. I appreciate what YOU have done for our country and hope that any negative attention you might recieve is overlooked because you did in-fact do the right thing. Thank you.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:33 pm
thank you for saying what you said and the manner in which you said it. i must confess that i would not have had the nerve to be that forthright and dispassionate or capable of maintaining the grace with which you stated Bush’s well diserved disdain.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:33 pm
High 5 to you Harry Taylor!! Have you thought about running for Congress, they need some backbone there. Thank you for being a voice for millions of Americans everywhere.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:34 pm
Dear Harry Taylor:
Thank you for having the courage to stand up, literally, and say calmy what we have all been wanting to shout about the way this administration is running and ruining our country. Your moment will last for a long time and has provided courage for all of us with your example of what one person with a voice can do.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:34 pm
Harry,
I am writing from the red state of Kentucky…I have felt powerless…without a voice…for 3+ years. Knowing that someone was able to break through the great wall of silence brings me hope. It’s like a light being turned on in a dark corner. So…thank you for speaking out, thank you for the ray of light you gave & thank you for setting the example for the rest of us.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:34 pm
Bless you, Harry Taylor, for being an American in the most honorable and historical sense of that term. I am proud that you are a citizen of my country. Keep speaking up!!!
April 7th, 2006 at 6:37 pm
Harry,
Thank you for the determination and wisdom expressed in your remarks before President Bush. God bless.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:37 pm
I was impressed with the quiet confidence, the conviction, and the enumeration
of the many losses and dangers under Bush’s “corporatism” Thank you.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:37 pm
Harry, GOD BLESS YOU! I have no idea how you got in to his meeting, and I have NO DOUBT he can’t figure it out either…he spouts about God, you spoke from your soul, and there is no answer for such honesty and integrity!!!! I too am ashamed, and HURRAHHHHH for you for saying it! the KING HAS NO CLOTHES!!!!!
April 7th, 2006 at 6:38 pm
April 7th, 2006 at 6:38 pm
Many thanks to you Harry Taylor. By proxy, you articulated the shame I feel when not overridden by my anger toward the leadership of my country. What went awry to have allowed ourselves to come to the plight we’re in?
April 7th, 2006 at 6:39 pm
Thank you Harry Taylor - Finally someone had the guts to stand up and say what intelligent people know to be true ! We were all standing with you as you voiced our opinions. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!! And remember people … if you are not outraged, you are NOT paying attention.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:39 pm
Harry,
Thank you for standing up and letting Pres. Bush know how you feel. Thousands of people agree with you, and it’s about time someone said it at one of his canned meetings. You are the man!
Peter J. Longeway
April 7th, 2006 at 6:39 pm
Thankyou Harry Taylor,
As an American citizen who has long been opposed to the Bush family politics, it brings me some peace of mind to know that our President has, WITH NO DOUBT, heard the opinions of many Americans, in one felt swoop!!!!!
April 7th, 2006 at 6:39 pm
Oh Harry, if only my representatives and senators were as brave as you are! If only they could be the leader that you are — standing tall, when it’s easier to shrink, saying the hard TRUTH, when it would be so easy to sit silent. I promise you, if I am ever in the position to do the same, I will. You are not alone in your feelings and we owe it to each other to do what you’ve done. Stand up, speak out. Everybody, everywhere.
With respect,

April 7th, 2006 at 6:39 pm
Mr. Taylor,
Thank you (from a lot of people who read or heard about your heroic stance) for reminding MR. Bush (not Your Majesty) who his bosses are: the people of America, of which you are a fine example of. You’re the best!
April 7th, 2006 at 6:39 pm
You da man, Harry. Bless you.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:42 pm
Thank you for speaking your heart. As long as citizens such as you are willing to speak truth to power, there is hope for our democracy. Thank you for being a true patriot and American.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:43 pm
Thank you Harry!! I watched your questioning of hte president tonight on Countdown with Keith Olberman. When you finished speaking, my 11-year-old son and I applauded the television. We were proud of your courage, your message and the honorable way you expressed it. You stood up for millions of us yesterday and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:43 pm
Thank you Mr. Taylor for standing up and saying what so many of us feel. You may have been the minority in that room, but you are a member of the majority of this country. That, Mr. Taylor, took a great deal of courage.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Harry. You said what many of us have been afraid to say. Wonder of all wonders, the sky did not fall, and there has been an added benefit. Your standing up for what you believe has emboldened a lot of people, and we, the all-too-often silent, thoughtful and rational majority, owe you a lot.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:44 pm
Harry. You are not any Tom, Dick or Harry but a real bonafide speaker for the truth.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:47 pm
Thank you Harry Taylor for speaking up for all of us. This President has turned
every country against us with his arrogance and imperialistic Presidency where
he believeshe is above the law with VP Cheney. We are slowly losing our privacy
and freedom and rights. He has ruined this country with his politics and views.
He has lied to us so many times it is pitiful. Now we find out when he leaks
classified information he makes the lie that he declassified it so it was not a leak
go figure. Thanks again HARRY Mansfield, Ohio
April 7th, 2006 at 6:47 pm
Thank you for your courage. You said what needed to be said, and what Bush needs to hear loudly and repeatedly. I doubt he will adress an unscreened crowd again. I hope you are not married to an undercover CIA agent, and that your tax returns are in order. Check your mail for anthrax. Bush will get even for embarrassing him. Give ‘em Hell, Harry!
April 7th, 2006 at 6:47 pm
Thank you Harry. You are the man. You were courteous, calm and most of all factual. You speak for so many of us
April 7th, 2006 at 6:47 pm
Wonderful, heartfelt speech! You spoke for me, too!
April 7th, 2006 at 6:48 pm
Thank you, Harry! I seriously hope you’ll consider running for some sort of office. Right now what this country needs more than anything from its political leadership is the courage to speak the truth. Your actions yesterday proved that you meet that qualification. If you do feel the calling, contact Democracy for America…one of their major missions is to help grass-roots candidates figure out the political landscape. Good luck in whatever you do in the future, and, again, thank you!
April 7th, 2006 at 6:48 pm
Way to go, Harry! I am reminded of the story “The Emperor’s New Clothes.” Maybe someday the prez will realize that he hasn’t got anything on! Thanks for your courage to speak the truth, especially in that crowd of blind followers.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:48 pm
Thank you Harry! I can’t believe you got by the Republican guard. I often wondered if Bush’s handlers let him ever hear any of the negative things that are said about him. Now at least I know HE knows that someone is ashamed of him and his Administration. I couldn’t have said it better.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:49 pm
Thank you, Harry.
You said all the right things with dignity and grace.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:49 pm
Yes! Finally, a voice for those who don’t blindly follow the actions of authority and are willing to question them.
I really appreciated the calm, dignified manner in which you spoke your mind. You represent what is still good in this country.
Thank You
April 7th, 2006 at 6:49 pm
Thank you Harry Taylor for saying what so many of us have wanted to say to Mr. Bush for a very long time.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:50 pm
Thanks for speaking the truth, Mr. Taylor. This is suppsoed to be a democracy but with the Fascist Bush administration, freedom and democracy are just words, just rhetoric. I expect Bush and his cronies to send the FBI, IRS, etc. after Mr. Taylor for daring to defy them! Look what they did to a U.S. operative…they have no shame and will stiop at nothing to achieve their objectives. BUSH should be impeached for Treason!
April 7th, 2006 at 6:50 pm
Well said Harry ! A man after my own heart ! Nuff said.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:51 pm
Harry,
When I heard you speak your mind and tell the President what real America is concerned about I was taken aback, in awe. Bush tried to sidestep your comments (yet again) with his sideshow clownage but you made him listen respectfully and honorably. Thanks for wiggling your way into his town hall! The American people, rather, the World thanks you!
April 7th, 2006 at 6:52 pm
Thank you, Harry, for speaking what is in the hearts of so many of us. Thank you for standing up honorably and saying what those who were supposedely elected to represent us have not had the courage to say. I hope that your honesty is contagious and spreads throughout the country to the vast majority of citizens who may now be ready to call this president and his party to account.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:52 pm
GIVE HIM HELL, HARRY!! I for one, am so proud of you. You were able to voice what we all think. It is the Harrys of this world that give me a sense of hope. Cudos to you and then more cudos. How in the world did you get into that meeting. We all know that they (the admins of Bush) hand pick who they let in. And then you managed to get to the mike…..WOW!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Harry!
April 7th, 2006 at 6:52 pm
Thank you SO much for speaking what so many of us feel.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:53 pm
Thanks Harry!! I am proud of you for standing up and saying what needs to be said!
I also wonder if he is ever ashamed of the mess he has made or if he has no conscience at all….I have emailed him and told him what I thought as well but I doubt he ever saw the comments, hope you see these. Keep up the good work! Katherine
April 7th, 2006 at 6:53 pm
Ever the paranoid person, I wonder if Bushes seeming compassion in shushing the ones who booed to “allow” you to speak, didn’t improve his ratings and take the sting out of his misguided decisions.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:54 pm

April 7th, 2006 at 6:54 pm
Harry…..you are a hero!!! Thank you for speaking from your heart and saying what that man needs to hear!! Maybe it popped a little hole in that glass bubble he lives in. Like many have already said, it’s everything we all would want to say and more. If there were awards for blunt honesty, you’d be the winner!!!!!!! Blessed Be. Christina
April 7th, 2006 at 6:54 pm
Thanks for speaking for all of us.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:55 pm
Just a well deserved thank you.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:55 pm
Harry Taylor for President! Courage, honesty and unspun truth… all things we need to resuscitate America, none of which we’ve seen from this regime. No, George, you’re not my favorite guy. Harry Taylor is.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:55 pm
Hooray for Harry! Thanks so much for speaking out. Really surprised that Harry was able to break through the Republican Guard!
April 7th, 2006 at 6:55 pm
Harry, I am so grateful to you for saying what needed to be said. Everyday, I and milllions more want to say what you have said! what a huge relief to know that at least the deep feelings of betrayal of our sacred values, have been expressed to this puppet for the spread of despair! We are so proud and grateful that now, at leadt it has been said and covered, coast to coast! God bless you .
April 7th, 2006 at 6:55 pm
Thanks Harry!
Your succinct and candid “come to jesus” with the preznit was awesome!
And you didn’t even swear (like I would of).
You, my friend, are a true Patriot!
One of these days they will have to answer– I’m thinking Nov 06 and 08!!!!
April 7th, 2006 at 6:55 pm
Just want to thank Harry Taylor for his comments to Bush. He hit the nail on the head. Great.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:56 pm
Harry Taylor, you made my day! I have wished for 5 years for one of the Democrats to stand up and use your words. I am so grateful. Jane in St. Louis
April 7th, 2006 at 6:56 pm
Thank you Harry and brave one in Utah. I am proud to be an American and will strive to meet the standards that you, Harry Taylor, have set for standing up and speaking out in a civilized manner. I hope all concerned citizens with take notice. We can stand up and speak up with civility. Hear, Hear.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:57 pm
Thank you Harry! IMPEACH BUSH, IT’S NEVER TOO LATE!
April 7th, 2006 at 6:57 pm
Dear Harry Taylor: I read about you this morning in the New York Times and was so excited by your courage and articulate expression of what so many Americans would like to say to this President. Congratulations!!! Rita Stewart
April 7th, 2006 at 6:57 pm
Your words to our President truely reflect my sentiments. My hats is off to you, Harry Taylor. We can only hope that his ears work and he has some concept of shame. Thank you for saying what needed to be said,
April 7th, 2006 at 6:58 pm
I appreciated Mr. Taylor’s poise and thoughtfulness and his direct person to person address to Mr. Bush as much as I appreciated his sentiments. Thank you Harry Taylor.
April 7th, 2006 at 6:59 pm
Harry, I just witnessed your courageous and dignified comments to the President on Fox News. You put into words the dismay and fear I feel at the erosion of civil liberties by the Bush Administration and by its wanton neglect of the will of the evolved majority–for a cleaner environment, a more humane policy abroad, and a respect for the democratic principles on which this nation was built. You spoke eloquently and respectfully and in a way that commands attention–something our president has been unable to do since he entered office/
Thank you, Harry!
April 7th, 2006 at 6:59 pm
I applaud Mr. Taylor for his articulate pronouncement of the truth, even though I’m sure it went on dysfunctional ears. Mr. Taylor speaks for the majority of the American public. George W is clearly the zealot of his own hallucination(s) and a bilogical insult to us all. In fact, in 1999 his own father said: “I have nothing but contempt and anger for those who betray our trust. They are, in my view, the most insidious of traitors.”
April 7th, 2006 at 6:59 pm
Thank you Harry for your strength and powerful words directed to GWBush. You have eloquently expressed what I, myself, would have liked to say to that individual.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:00 pm
Thank you Harry Taylor. You are a man of true courage. You have spoken the words that so many of us wish we could have the chance to say. Maybe for the first time in 5 years Mr. Bush won’t be able to go to sleep at 9:30pm. You are a man we can all look up to.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:00 pm
I silently cheered you on, Harry, as I watched you direct your heartfelt comments to our bungling commander-in-chief. What a great moment for those of us left of center, and how refreshing that you were allowed to speak. Your eloquence and courage was very much appreciated.

Thank you Harry. I’m a Texan, and it gets tough around here for people who don’t fawn all over W. You got my wife and I fired up again! Also, it was very classy at the end to thank him for letting you speak. Kudos to you.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:01 pm
Thank you, Harry. You are a true patriot. It took a great deal of courage to stand up in that hostile arena. (Unfortunately, the Democrats are too cowardly to tell the truth.)
You and Cindy Sheehan are my heroes.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:01 pm
Thank you Harry! Your articulate blurb slid through the government’s media cloak. I appreciate that your comments were straightforward and eloquent, and not preached out of anger. You are a shinning spokesperson of the opposition.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:01 pm
Simply … Thank You!!!
April 7th, 2006 at 7:01 pm
Thank you Harry! What we all wanted to say and with so much class! Also thank you for your dedication and courage getting through Bush’s thugs and handpicked audience.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:01 pm
Way to go Harry! You were honest, direct and most of all respectful. Thank you.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:02 pm
From the day he “won” the election in 2000 to this very day, this fool of a president has tangled himself in doublespeak and lies. Finally, someone named Harry got the chance to put Bush down-to his face-his smirking, unapologetic face-as usual, he stumbled around for words in his response-isn’t he just a laugh riot? So clever! He has always been rather impaired-how anyone could have voted for him after the 2004 debates is a complete mystery to me. I hope this cheating, lying, full of crap president gets what he deserves-and soon.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:02 pm
bravo, harry taylor!!
April 7th, 2006 at 7:03 pm
Thank you, Harry, for verbalizing what many Americans think, but don’t get the chance to say to the dolt who is unfortunately our president. Just watching the smirk on that provincial twit’s face during your statement shows what sort of man Bush is: not much of one. He is a perfect example of what happens when ignorance is combined with arrogance. Disaster.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:03 pm
Thank you Harry! I am from the red state of Georgia where I am constantly exposed to Bush/Cheney bumper stickers. You have encouraged me to continue, in my frustration against the madness, to stand against everything that George Bush has done. Your calm courage to confront him on issues that matter to me was appreciated.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:03 pm
Dear Citizen Harry Taylor,
Thank you for doing what nearly every self respecting American Citizen should be doing; confronting King George Bush the W, and calling him to account. That sir, took real courage, the type that is very absent in Washington, DC. One by one, you and others like you, are starting to call into question why this person — who cracks jokes when it it totally inapproperate — is the most powerful man in the world. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Sincerely,
Patrick N. Clement
April 7th, 2006 at 7:03 pm
Thanks Harry, you are a true and honest man with courage and convictions. I really appreciate your standing up to the man who is posing as our leader and speaking your mind despite his petty attempts at humor.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:03 pm
Thank you Harry Taylor. You have spoken for all of us.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:04 pm
April 7th, 2006 at 7:04 pm
Mr. Taylor, thank you for your courage and your courtesy. You made the liberal case to the nation better than all the politicians have in five years, and did it with class. You make me proud again to be an American.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:04 pm
Thank you Harry Taylor for having the courage to face down The Monster. It must have been a shocking experience for the Master of Lies to hear the truth so clearly and forcefully spoken. Your courage and eloquence have made you an American hero.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:04 pm
You are a real patriot, Harry Taylor. I’ve often wondered if our President realizes the depth of intelligence and dedication to American values that exists in our country, as he usually gives the impression he thinks we can all be hoodwinked by rhetoric, taken in by what he says, (in contrast to the actions of his administration behind the scenes), fooled by the names of bills which are actually the reverse of what the legislation will actually permit unscrupulous persons to do to our environment.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:04 pm
Harry — Thank you. For all of us and for the sake of the country, you spoke the truth that so many of us have felt for so long with tremendous frustration. THANK YOU HARRY! Thank you.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:05 pm
Dear Harry–You are my HERO—Living in San Antonio Texas no one dares to say a bad word about the dolt in the Whitehouse All Kerry stickers were removed from cars in the last election.or rude remarkes made. We commend you for taking a stand. Thank you. Shirley and Bill Ryan
April 7th, 2006 at 7:05 pm
Give em hell Harry!! Thank you for your courage and insight to take the opportunity when given one, to tell George Bush what rural America feels. Keep up the good work you do for all of us. Blessings!
April 7th, 2006 at 7:05 pm
May the Lord bless you, Harry. You have my vote!!!!!
April 7th, 2006 at 7:07 pm
Harry Taylor, you are a gentleman and a scholar… Not to mention a true patriot! What you did was inspired! I am proud again to be an American. That there are still people out there who are willing to stand up for what is right proves to me that we are a country who fought for independence and that we are ready to take this great nation back! What you did and said gave voice to so many. And it is that type of courage and eloquence that from this country’s inception, has made it a great place to live. So I say, thank you Harry Taylor for making me proud to be an American again. Harry for President 2008!
April 7th, 2006 at 7:07 pm
Thank you, Mr. Taylor. You have summarized in a few sentences, the frustration and rage I have felt for five years. I never thought anyone other than the president’s sycophants would be in a position to speak directly to him. THANK YOU!
Janet M. Goodsell
April 7th, 2006 at 7:08 pm
Thank you Harry!!
You have single-handedly re-awakened the true American spirit and inspired millions of people who otherwise had all but given up hope for out nation!! The combination of Delay’s fall from grace- Bush’s “leak” and Gonzales’s condoning of spying within our borders, should be more than enough ammo for impeachment proceedings to begin!! Thank you again!!
April 7th, 2006 at 7:08 pm
Harry - YOU ROCK! We all need to start to speak up. If the people lead the leaders MUST follow. Don’t know how you got into one of the prescreened ‘Town Hall’ gigs, but what ever works - it got you in to say what the people needed to hear. (Bush will never realize himself)
April 7th, 2006 at 7:08 pm
Thank you Harry, for taking the opportunity to voice what so many feel.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:08 pm
Thank you, Harry, for standing up and speaking what you believe to the president. I appreciated your words and your tone. Such respectful disagreement is not seen too often in these parts. I too have never felt so ashamed of my country’s presence in the world as I do now. I have never felt so powerless to stop the wrong that’s being done. Yet, you stood up to the president and I feel more hopeful. Thanks again for inspiring the rest of us to keep speaking the truth to power.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:08 pm
Way to go Harry! Thank you for being honest, direct and respectful. I feel as if I’ve been heard.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:08 pm
I am not physically able to attend events to show support for people who are speaking out for truth, accountability, and all things that a real democracy should reflect so I would like to thank you for stepping up and very politely and eloquently voicing what many of us feel about the direction this administration is taking our country.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:08 pm
It was great to finally see someone hold Bush responsible for his many terrrible actions. Hopefully our elected officials will follow your lead. Thank you so much Harry !!
April 7th, 2006 at 7:13 pm
Finally!!! YOU are the NEW AMERICAN HERO!! Thank you so much Harry!! I wish more and more americans would stand up and claim their country back! Thank you again!
April 7th, 2006 at 7:14 pm
Bush is worse than a war salesman.
He insults our intellingence.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:14 pm
With people like you we can overcome this regressive administration and win back our freedom. The corporate press, congress and our senators will take note of the grass roots support of outspoken individuals like you and maybe get the guts to speak out against the tyranny of lies, deceit and bad judgement of this administration. You give me hope in these dark times. If we play our cards right, we can earn the majority in November and get back to helping all our neighbors here and abroad have a better life.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:15 pm
Harry, YOU ROCK!!! When I heard you speak I felt like you were speaking for me. I wanted to be there standing next to you. So I wrote your name “HARRY TAYLOR”.
I don’t know why I did that but it felt like that was a conection. Your name is still on my kitchen table. I’m going to keep it there.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:15 pm
Thanks for not only speaking the truth, but doing so with intelligence, dignity and restraint. I didn’t realize Bush was allowing people who disagree with him into his meetings, so I’ll take that, at least, as a tiny improvement in his disastrous policies. I wonder how it feels to be famous around the world as the one who finally got to tell Bush what we all wanted to say.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:16 pm
For standing up and saying what millions of other Americans want to but haven’t had the opportunity to, an enormous THANK YOU HARRY TAYLOR!!! You are a hero!!!!
April 7th, 2006 at 7:16 pm
You spoke for me in your remarks to the President (which I’d prefer to write with a small ‘p’). Your courage and eloquence is right on. I feel certain that Bush has let it wash over him like vomit and will never refer to it again. However, you probably have energized many others.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:16 pm
Thank god some one had the fortitude to say what Mr. Taylor said, and the tenacity to actually get in the event. These events are so filter so that no one with an anti-Bush opinion can get it. Let get rid of these guys in November and in 2008. It’s time to take our country back from these corrupt ignorant people.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:16 pm
You are a true American. You said everything I would love to say to Bush and I am proud of you. I just wish all americans had the courage you showed and maybe we could get our country back. I dont feel this is America any longer. Lets all make sure we are out their voting in November. LETS GET OUR COUNTRY BACK.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:16 pm
I could not believe my ears when the clip of your words to Bush came on my television. You are a man of courage…..thank you for speaking for so many Americans who are fed up with being labeled “Un-Patriotic” for disagreeing with the Bush Doctrine. We must take back our country and our Democracy amd to do this, it will take many more of us speaking out. You inspire us all. Thank you.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:17 pm
You said what so many of us feel and so few ever have an opportunity to say. Thank you. I was impressed with how much you said in such a short period of time. Well done!
Rick
April 7th, 2006 at 7:17 pm
Thank you Harry Taylor. Thank you for being smart enough to figure out how to get to a microphone and say what you said. From your example the President will face more people who attend his events and ask hard questions. Good work!
April 7th, 2006 at 7:18 pm
Since 2000, the lunatics have been running the asylum. Black’s been white, up’s been down. Harry, thanks for having the sense, sincerity and guts to call things as you see them in this public forum. Finally, you have put a human face on the frustration and despair felt by all citizens with a little grey matter between their ears. You should be so proud of yourself. THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING!!
April 7th, 2006 at 7:19 pm
Thank you for your courage and integrity inspeaking for so many of us, to the president who has so terribly let us down.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:19 pm
Thank you, thank you! It is so refreshing to have someone express so eloquently the thoughts of so many of us. The sense of shame because of this administration is almost overwhelming at times. How can we ever explain this to our grandchildren?
April 7th, 2006 at 7:19 pm
Thank you for speaking for so many of us who feel we don’t have a voice. Your action gives me courage to say what I really feel!
April 7th, 2006 at 7:19 pm
Thank you for your words of truth! . . . I can only hope this administration - and the rest of the country - wakes up before this country, and everything it has stood for, goes down the tube!
April 7th, 2006 at 7:20 pm
Thank you, Harry. You reminded us in a simple, dignified way what democracy is all about. I was proud to be an American. And it has been many years since I have felt that way.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:20 pm
Thank you, Harry!
April 7th, 2006 at 7:20 pm
How I wish I could have actually heard you at the aforementioned event. Your courage and calm in delivering this message of truth to a clueless, mean spirited, self serving sham of a president in a hostile environment are nothing short of astounding. I had lapsed into an apathetic depression over this group of Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Rice with their relentless lying arrogance, and finally, a voice breaks through–yours. My gratitude to you is boundless. Thanks a million times over, Harry. God Bless You.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:20 pm
Thank-you on behalf of a proud American on the West Coast. The shame you feel in our leadership is shared by over half of the country. That shame has turned to pride in light of your respectful and exceedingly appropriate remarks. I stand and applaud you sir! YOU are a proud example of what America really represents!
April 7th, 2006 at 7:20 pm
Harry, you made my day. Thank you for having the courage to speak up at one of those Republican contrived events. You said what needed to be said.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:20 pm
Harry- You did what some of us would have loved to do, I am from Fayetteville, N.C. but now live in Ca. I wish I could have been there. But I was watching on Satellite T V and I said Amen & clapped my hands when I saw what you did. You had him so off guard he couldn’t hardly speak, Plus he only answered the first part of your statement type questions. He is so out of touch with we the people, I really don’t think he cares one bit about what we think, he is so arrogant. Thanks again.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:21 pm
April 7th, 2006 at 7:21 pm
Thank you Mr. Taylor. You showed grace and poise under a tremendous amount of pressure. You are an inspiration.
Keep it up.
Plane Crazy
April 7th, 2006 at 7:22 pm
Thank you, Mr. Taylor. You showed real courage.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:23 pm
A simple thanks, Harry hardly seems enough for what you did. But thank you it is.
Heartfelt. Betsy
April 7th, 2006 at 7:23 pm
Thank you Harry. You made me proud to be an american today. You are not alone. Millions of us stand with you. Feel the love.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:23 pm
April 7th, 2006 at 7:24 pm
Thank you thank you thank you Harry Taylor. Not only did you say what every “Democrat” in congress, and Republican for that matter, should have said long ago, you did it calmly and clearly in the face of a hostile crowd. I don’t know how you got in to that “town hall” meeting, but I hope someone with as much bravery and common sense will make it in to every other public event in which that babbling heartless fool appears at.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:24 pm
Dear Harry,
Clap, clap, clap calp ,calp, clap, clap, clap, clapppppppppppppppppppppppppppp
You just got a much deserved standing ovation from Snellville, Ga.
Sincerely,
JB
April 7th, 2006 at 7:24 pm
Dear Mr. Taylor,
Please add my Thank you to the other thousands from around the country.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:24 pm
Thank you, Harry, for saying what so many of us think and feel. This whole country is scaring me. We are heading in the wrong direction. I am amazed at the number of people who just don’t seem to care that we’ve been lied to and mislead. We have to all start speaking out.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:25 pm
Mr Taylor
I know my thank you isn’t nearly enough, but what you did was amazing. With grace and clarity you expressed my sentiments exactly. Mr Bush should be ashamed, his father and mother should be ashamed, every Republican in Congress, and every major media outlet should be ashamed. All of these people have let this perverse farce that is the G. W. Bush administration go on its merry way without any words of repremand.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:25 pm
Thank you Harry !! We laughed… then we cried. The running of our country has become a pathetic joke. Let’s all stand up… just like you on April 15th…. THANKS SO MUCH HARRY !!
April 7th, 2006 at 7:26 pm
Thank you, Harry Taylor from the bottom of my heart and the depth of my soul.
You have done what no other journalist, reporter or politician (Republican or Democrat) has been able or had the nerve to do and that is to speak the truth to power and crush hypocrisy.
You are my Hero. You give me hope that through truth, honesty and speaking out as loud as we are able; we, as Americans can come together and bring light to the darkness that has fallen over this nation and right the wrongs that have been done to our country and the world in our name by the madmen in this administration.
BFS
April 7th, 2006 at 7:27 pm
Thanks Harry, for having the courage to say what many of us wish we had said. I admire your calm response in the face of unfreindly environment. This president should be ashame of himself for sacrificing the future of our country in order to serve his own selfish interest. He should go doen in history as the president that couldn’t. Thank you for speaking the truth.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:29 pm
Dear Harry,
I know that you do speak for many of us in San Francisco.
With thanks,
Tomi
April 7th, 2006 at 7:30 pm
Thank you Harry! You are my hero. I have listened to your comments to Mr. Bush several times and really appreciate what you said.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:30 pm
Thank you so very much. Please let us know how you are doing 2 men from CO spoke up and I think they also lost their jobs. Let us know so we can help.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:31 pm
Thank you Harry.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:31 pm
Dear Mr.Taylor,
I was very proud of you for having the courage to stand up and say “the Emperor has no clothes.” Putting yourself on the line in these troubled times, shows a great deal of courage. You have my deepest thanks.
Sincerely,
Mark Smith
Ponca City, Ok.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:32 pm
April 7th, 2006 at 7:33 pm
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Finally!!
April 7th, 2006 at 7:33 pm
Thank you Harry for demonstrating so PLAINLY the level of FREEDOM we enjoy in this country (where else can you criticize a president to his face). Thank you for being frank about your KOOKY LEFTIST opinions. Thank Bush that he was so gracious to you.
Finally,
Thank you Harry for showing how ridiculous your hatred of Bush is….
April 7th, 2006 at 7:34 pm
Harry, you voiced in person to our (ahemmmm) so called president, what I have been thinking for a long time, and you said it so clearly and eloquently.
Thank You, thank you, thank you!!!!!!!
April 7th, 2006 at 7:34 pm
Thank-You!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
April 7th, 2006 at 7:35 pm
Thank You, Harry.
I, too, have never been more ashamed of the leadership of this country than I am now. Thank you for tellling George how many of us feel.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:36 pm
Thank You Harry! I was watching yet another depressing Bush Town Hall Meeting, and suddenly-you appeared……Brought tears to my eyes! Why more Americans are not doing exactly as you-is beyond me..So many talk the talk-but you Sir-walked the walk!.I hope that in watching you stand up and speak-it will motivate many more……You should be proud! A true American!
April 7th, 2006 at 7:36 pm
Go, Harry!!
April 7th, 2006 at 7:36 pm
Thank you for standing up for millions of us who do not get a chance. You were right on with your comments. Keep doing what you are doing for all of us!!!!!!!!!
April 7th, 2006 at 7:37 pm
Thank you, Mr. Taylor for your courage. You spoke what so many of us believe, with such a clear, steady and eloquent voice. I imagine it is the first time in years Bush has heard anything like that. I hope your voice inspires others to speak out as well.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:38 pm
Bless you for speaking up and for so many of us. I particularly appreciate how you thanked Bush for allowing you to speak. Your graciousness carries more weight than an angry retort would have. If bush only had the guts to listen, he would understand the value of what you said. What scares me the most about Bush is the outright destruction of our American civil liberties, and his wonton destruction of human life in Iraq. I feel significantly less safe as an American traveling abroad since his presidency than I ever did before his terms in office.
Thank you again for saying what you did.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:38 pm
Thank you for speaking up for so many of us who are distressed over the course this country is taking. I truly admire your courage.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:38 pm
Hallelujah !!! I am so proud of you. You’ve done what our elected leaders have not had the guts to do and you’ve put them all to shame. Thank you so very much, especially for alluding to the arrogant, frightening leadership we
are finally waking up to… and the shame he should feel for every life lost in this dumb war…U.S. and Iraqi.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:39 pm
Thanks Harry, you took the words right out of my mouth.
BB
April 7th, 2006 at 7:39 pm
Thank you Mr. Taylor….your dignity and courage will long be remembered.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:39 pm
You rock!
April 7th, 2006 at 7:39 pm
It’s refreshing to see an event like this which is not limited to Republican sycophants. That you were able to express the feelings of millions was great.
Let us hope that there is no retrobution for your exercise of free speech!
April 7th, 2006 at 7:39 pm
Hurray for you, Harry. Your comments were right on target. Mr. Bush needs to hear directly from US citizens like you (and us).
April 7th, 2006 at 7:39 pm
thank you harry!
April 7th, 2006 at 7:40 pm
Thank you, Harry. You have given me hope. It’s time to take our country back.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:42 pm
Harry - you said exactly what I would have wanted to but you said it ever so much more politely. You made your points in a reasonable, honorable way. Thank you! Your values are my values. They are American values. We are NOT loony liberals. We are the people.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:43 pm
Thank you, Harry Taylor, for being a voice for all of us who will never get the chance to speak our minds to George Bush and his “friends”. We appreciate the fact that you stood up to his hand picked fan club and proceeded to express your opinions, and ours! Thanks again from Tennessee!
April 7th, 2006 at 7:43 pm
I admire your courage. I wouldn’t have the nerve. Please be careful for your safety.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:44 pm
This needs to be communicated to our nation, and perhaps, if free speech can still be broadcasted, this could be ruled a ground rule triple. Now, if the Nation listens, we may have scored a run.
All my praise to Harry and let the people be heard!!!
April 7th, 2006 at 7:44 pm
Harry - Thank you. You spoke from the bottom of your heart what has been boiling up in mine for the past half a decade. I applaude your c ourage and conviction - your humility and your well mannered delivery. I’ll keep it brief and simply say thank you for your insipiration. We all need to put our two cents forth as elloquently and effectively as you have put them to Mr. Bush.
Todd Pries
April 7th, 2006 at 7:44 pm
We all admire your courage and support you totally.
Thank you, Harry.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:44 pm
Mr. Taylor…You are a true American Hero. This Country is proud of you and truly admires your candor and courage. We say Thank You!!
April 7th, 2006 at 7:45 pm
April 7th, 2006 at 7:45 pm
Harry, the Founding Fathers are so proud of you. You spoke for millions of Americans. Thank you so very much….from The Land of Lincoln.
April 7th, 2006 at 7:45 pm

Thank you Harry.
