One Month Later Blaine Nichols Responds (Clipper editorial writer)
This is amazing. I wrote this post a month ago.
Looks like I was pretty pissed when I wrote it. (I hate war and death). These talking-points-parrots…It’s SO un-original anymore.
So apparently (or serendipitously) someone in Eastern Idaho (probably googling Hitler) alerted this editorial writer (probably members of the same brotherhood) for The Davis County Clipper that I had challenged him in a post. ![]()
I was actually just jabbin at my old friend James Evans and I happen to pick up a Clipper while writing this at my girlfriend’s house in Bountiful. (You can stop reading now and just go to the post and see his comment below)
It’s becoming classic. Just tonight some tough guy lawyer said “Well, it’s the war on terror.” And I said, walking away, “when I get back I want you to describe the War on Terror.” When I came back, he had nothing to say.
How well the Rove machine has trained people to say the words. Unfortunatley, the Rove machine did not equip them with substance.

Oh yeah, and Rush Limbaugh turned himself in today.

Verily, I say, a photo sometimes speakes even more than a thousand words!

Sometimes a photo need not say any words - just puke instead.

After clicking on the link on Cliff’s post to the Davis County Clipper I got this message from the Clipper: “…Invalid Access…..Recording visitor details…Allow your web browser to accept cookie from this website.” Is the Clipper going to target me for daring to go to its site from a UtahOne link? It appears that something nasty is going on at the Clipper. Its editorialists seem like the typical brainwashed, dittoheads of the Republican power machine. Only a letter to the editor by a Davis County spelling bee champion made sense. The Clipper is sloppy.
Perhaps the closet Dominionists at the Clipper need to be outed? Here is the comment that I wrote, but did not send, to the Davis County Clipper. I did not send it because I’m worried about those who drink the KoolAid in Davis County.
“What kind of fascist rag are you peddling up in my former home, Davis County? You really are doing damage to Davis County with your poor editing, brainwashed commentary and general hostility toward a tolerant, healthy America. Shame on the publicist for allowing the free press to be abused as it is in the “Clipper.” Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or comments.

I fixed the link so that you may see a recent collection of Blaine Nichols writings.
I have to say the Clipper is in general, inclusive. But Nichols is a bit “out there”, and at some point, I hope the Clipper will draw the line somewhere.
I mean free speech is critical, but Nichols is a hate monger.

Cliff,
Gosh! It is now even some 4 months later. As I am visiting in Idaho again, I had a twisted moment this evening when I wondered if anyone had ever reacted to my response to your initial attack. You did, well . . . kinda’.
Once again, you label me. Twice. Maybe even three times. You cravenly state that I am something that I definately am not. But, Cliff . . . you didn’t even attempt to respond to the points I raised in my response to your initial anger (dare we call it, “hate”?.
I have noted that the liberal approach to argument (and oftentimes, knowledge) is to obfuscate and label, generally without basis whatsoever, as there is little or no willingness to engage in point by point debate. Simply saying something does not make it so. However, those unwilling or unable to follow a train of thought to a reasonable conclusion all too often blindly accept the bigotted and unsupported statement as fact. Particularly if that statement supports their own brand of political correctness. [ Like, for example, someone saying that humankind is responsible for the current round of "global warming". ] Sad, isn’t it?
The intolerance of any resoning discussion too often demonstrated by the liberal attacker sadly leaves everyone the worse for participating. For example; The liberal willingness to silence those who express opposition to deviant lifestyles by shouting that they are intolerant, fails to recognize that the liberal himself is likely intolerant of the commonly accepted lifestyle and of any opinion contrary to his own. Interestingly, no discussion on the point in question is then allowed, else the initial shout of intolerance increases and the politically unacceptable position is ignored, or the subject is changed.
In your initial blog, hidden as it were on this web blog rather than directlyin the open, you requested that I respond to your baseless assertions. Promptly, when I found out about your blog, I did so. I even requested notification on followup via email, but failed to receive such.
Now, I challange you, kind sir.
1- Address each one of the many points I initially proposed in response to you asking that I enumerate my positions.
2- Explain exactly how I am “out there”, whatever that might mean on a non-schoolgirl basis.
3- Help me, and any other readers you might have, understand exactly how I am “a hate monger”.
As to the last point of this challange, I feel fully confident that any reasoning reader will surely find hate originating only at your fingertips. If you have any solid indication that I am indeed a hate monger, I should appreciate you pointing them out to me. If not, please do not stoop again to name-calling and labeling. Though that tactic may further your position with thoughtless believers, it belittles you in the eye of reasonable people.
Maybe if you will elevate your approach to civility, we can dialogue as to vaild points of difference in our opinions. Maybe we will both learn something.
Regards,
Blaine Nichols

For those of you curious about what Blaine Nicols (Davis County Clipper Occasional Narrow Thought Editorial Contributor), I give you the link to my original top post and initial response here.
I shall also TOP POST his orginal questions and entitle is Blaine Describes Democrats. Please help me show this angry man and those who think like him, why such semantic games and superficial tricks are so transparent and doomed to fail as we are witnessing in this election season.
