Listening to the floor speech of a Utah Republican legislator named Scott Wyatt over on the new Utah State House Democrats blog I was struck by the apologetic tone of his reason for voting for another tax cut for wealthy Utahns and against education. I’m soooo pleased the democrats are finally using the audio recording [...]

Death by a thousand cuts. That’s how they kill elephants in Africa. Before guns were invented, and still today for tribes that have none, you just keep stabbing that elephant until it falls over.
I can’t think of another way to describe what Emily Hollingshead (Senate District 28) and Larry Daniel (House District 72) are doing [...]

Only a day after I accurately described Chris Cannon as an American Traitor, he gets listed among the top five most corrupt members of Congress (the House) to watch.
A few of his close friends who used to be on that list include Randy “Duke†Cunningham, now serving an eight-year jail term for bribery and Rep. [...]

(Edited from the author’s own blog)
Yesterday’s special session of the Utah legislature went about as expected. Having already obtained the support of the Republican party, Huntsman’s tax reform proposals were all passed. Nor is Huntsman through; in an interview on KCPW today, he acknowledged that the legislation passed was only a first step in his [...]

Each day brings another shockingly anti-American assault on the US Constitution. Never in my life, did I imagine I would hear a president of the United States say the things he said in the Rose Garden on Friday. George Bush owes us an apology.
What follows was ripped of from here.
Our Fearless Leader,
And that Common Article III says that there will be no outrages upon human [...]

So I’m watching special congressional oversight hearings on C-Span (LOVE C-Span) that also took place today.
They’re talking about the corruption of the whole Halliburton - no-bid contractor, cost-plus abuse.
And among the witness — all former Halliburton employees — is a nice middle aged, all American workingwoman, former teacher, who worked as a bookkeeper in Iraq.
She [...]

George Bush–along with Donald Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney, and Paul Wolfowitz–have led this nation into one of the great disasters of the last century. This war now threatens to become a war between Islam and the West. When Mr. Bush used 9/11 as a pretext for invading Iraq, a nation at peace with the United States, [...]
