This morning I spent two hours walking with Marshall Thompson and his cheerful platoon of veterans, peace advocates, concerned citizens and even a Democratic candidate for Congress, Steve Olsen. The rain failed to dampen spirits, and we got lots of friendly honks from passing cars.

I was fortunate to walk with Marshall and the other walkers from the Capitol to 4800 S. where my out-of-shape and overweight self got too sore and tired to continue. It was a really great experience and worth every sore muscle and joint.
