More Proof It Was All a Big Lie (WMD)

It’s nothing really. We knew Bush et. al. were lying a long time ago. Everyone else with half a gut knows it now. This will be just evidence file #127.

From The UK Independent:

The Government’s case for going to war in Iraq has been torn apart by the publication of previously suppressed evidence that Tony Blair lied over Saddam Hussein’s weapons of mass destruction…

A devastating attack on Mr Blair’s justification for military action by Carne Ross, Britain’s key negotiator at the UN, has been kept under wraps until now because he was threatened with being charged with breaching the Official Secrets Act.

In the testimony revealed today Mr Ross, 40, who helped negotiate several UN security resolutions on Iraq, makes it clear that Mr Blair must have known Saddam Hussein possessed no weapons of mass destruction. He said that during his posting to the UN, “at no time did HMG [Her Majesty's Government] assess that Iraq’s WMD (or any other capability) posed a threat to the UK or its interests.”

Like Carter said in his interview “we know saddam had WMD because we have the receipts”.

He went on to say that we couldn’t find them because he had used them all in the iran-iraq war, and to chemically kill some recalcitrant sundry kurds.

A good excuse, and for those that used it, provides the plausible deniability if there is any question as to whether the administration knowingly lied to the public. At the point of crisis they need only break down and tell the public the truth. That bush believed in WMD because reagan provided them.

Enough of the public will buy that, especially because it is true. Might be the only thing about the whole affair that is.

Given bushes statements regarding ‘dictatorship’, all the signing statements accompanying republican rubberstamped legislative ‘work’, and all his actions throughout his miserable administration. Given the history of all his endeavors, from his stint in the Texas Air National Guard to his dismissive approach to this Democracy we hold dear. Given all the Death and destruction coincident to his ascention to ‘leader of the free-world’. Despite this being the holiday season, (peace, love and all that). I have no sympathy for our misguided commander-in-chief. May the next pretzle attack be successful.

him and his enablers. A christmas gift to the planet, we would all benefit from. But I do live in a dream. My generosity toward them fails.
