Banned, Un-Banned and Re-Banned

It was bound to happen. Our right-wing Milblogger friends at A Soldiers Perspective have reversed their New Year’s Eve good-will gesture to un-ban OneUtah bloggers and decided to ban us forever.

In the face of blog administrator Corporal M’s refusal of orders to un-ban us and prodded on by their militant loyal followers (readers), Army Intelligence Officer and Mormon Convert Master Sargeant Grisham (CJ) explained his about face in a tediously long post called “Darn Those Resolutions”. The post begins with a virtually unreadable 600 word Book of Mormon story about “Amalickiah”, and goes on to explain:

I will not allow this site to be poisoned in “small degrees” by the likes of Cliff/Nephi/Milmom, his friends, and his hatred. I won’t be talking further about the One Utah sockpuppets. I really don’t even want to hear about them. I realize they’re going to write more on their site about me and this site. I don’t care. They can have their obsession. Let’s just move past this episode in our lives. The most righteous causes always cause the most consternation. I won’t be suckered down from my mount.

I need not point out the eerie parallels to authoritarian behavior revealed by CJ words and actions which constitute censorship for fear of our poisonous influence. As many times as ASP readers claimed to invite the free exchange of ideas, in the end there was none. An honest reading of Nephi’s, Milmoms and my post will demonstrate well presented fact and interpretation was received as dissent. Without exception, the response to our differing views were criticism not on merit, but rather visceral ad hominem attacks on our character, sources and a veritable barrage of unsupportable accusations.

Without burdening the reader with my many posts describing the authoritarian mind, I will simply remind my gentle readers (verily) that given the opportunity, these people would as readily dispense with the freedoms and liberties on which this country was founded as any religious fanatic anywhere in any land. Dissent is simply unwelcome.

Serendipidiously, Glendan refers us to a similar observation 2 posts down. To quote in part:

They are fully back in minority victimhood mode without missing a beat. And there is a sense of gleeful excitement about the whole thing — “heh, heh, I just hope I live long enough to see what that horrible woman is going to do to this country.”* If you mention Iraq, they shrug their shoulders and start babbling about John Kerry and the draft dodging Clinton.

  1. The Deseret Spectacle Says:

Wow. What a bizarre group of folk.

In any event, I think your perspective on the authoritarian mind and the dangers it presents. It will only get worse as militant religious forces continue to be confronted by inconvenient truths which run contrary to their ideology. Under those circumstances, they’d much rather continue to believe in their own righteousness than suffer the ignominious reminders that dissent inevitably brings.

  2. Nephi Says:

Truly remarkable. I am really beginning to appreciate this “tribal mentality” theory and how the theory not only makes sense, but is applicable to and remains alive and well in America today, especially as concerns the more conservative thinking members of ASP.

ASP’rs demand analysis, but reject the same if not to their liking; unless, of course, the analysis comes from some fairy tale out of the Book of Mormon.

ASP’rs demand that all refrain from name calling, but have no trouble referring to OneUtah posters as sockpuppets, code-pinkers, hypocrites, morons, fools, freaks and nutjobs.

ASP’rs demand the truth, and then turn right around and accuse OneUtah posters as referring to soldiers as “baby-killers,” and this accusation comes without a shred of evidence of any kind in support.

In short, the top-posts, threads, comments, posters and moderators over at ASP are starting to look rather transparent and practically devoid of substance; excepting, however, for tribal loyalists bent on silencing dissenting opinion.

They should all be ashamed of themselves!

  3. Richard Warnick Says:

The flip side of the “tribal” thing is some tend to assume everyone else has a tribal identity too. I just want to put everyone on notice, if the Dems in Congress don’t get up some momentum within a couple of months I will criticize them as harshly as I do President Bush. They have been ineffective as an opposition party and pathetic in presidential politics (with the notable exception of Howard Dean). Now it’s their last chance to save the country.

  4. glenn Says:

I had some fun with them this morning as fred. and will again I’m sure. They still think that we all know one another, great stuff huh?

  5. Lynette Says:

I have been following this ASP thing with pure amazement. For all the substantive challenges to their assumptions, I could not find ONE SINGLE RESPONSE to the substance of your arguments.

All they do it bad mouth the messenger. They really are completely predictable. These people are really uninterested in facts of truth. How do you survive into adulthood and provide for your family that way?

Cliff, you nailed it. Loyalty. It makes perfect sense when I look at the unproductive ass kissers at my work. Do nothing, kiss ass, get paid.

Spineless Americans. Its no wonder they join the military. Its the best job on the planet for an ass kisser.

  6. glenn Says:

I don’t know about coming off the mount, but this group believing as it does, has definitely been mounted by the administration. We have to get rid of bush for their sakes. That story is blaphemy to any Christian BTW, the Pope says so.

They really are innocents in all this. It’s almost like, a form of child abuse, at least the state of mind with which these people have gone to war with. I guess this is where the faith element comes in. That won’t stop wars reality though. It is naive but noble, as killing can get I suppose. I would have to think it through more, but that’s just me.

They could (maybe will) make a bunch of money working as contractors’, with less risk, but they choose to wear the uniform and accept about 1/8th the pay. It has to be tough having Blackwater guys around you that you know are making 150K. Or guys laying bricks making 5 times what you make, with no risk.

Risk is the soldiers job, and it is turning out to be all the adventure they promised it would be,…just didn’t say what kind.

Ongoing tours, friggin stop loss…, shut up bitches, we’re the boss… do I feel a draft?,… this can get worse, ya know.

Rock on boys, do the thing you were trained to do until the civilians get some courage and lead, and call you off.

  7. Cpl M Says:

Really, Cliff. If you would take the time to explain this then perhaps your questions would receive a bit of attention. Until then, I’m pretty sure they won’t.

Also, get your facts straight. I was never “ordered” to do anything. All I did was refuse to pull your comments out of moderation.

  8. Cliff Says:

    Cpl M,

You may attempt to find fault with me all day long. Let me spare you the trouble. In your parlance, I am a sinner.

Once again, you demonstrate your refusal to address the issues that face this country.

I am not the problem here. 3000 dead americans and hundereds of thousands of dead Iraqi are the problem. Let me know when you figure a way to fix that little problem.

Unyil then, may you find a spine is the fear and darkness of your soul.

    Got it?

    PS: Congratulations again on Annabelle.

  9. Cliff Says:

BTW: Cpl M, I invite you to post here to your heart/s content. Short of bigotry and clinical or vanacular references to your or any one elses sphincter, I promise YOU WILL NEVER BE CENSORED…ever.

To borrow a phrase from your master, BRING IT…

  10. Anthony Says:

I find this entire event very amusing. It seems that you are pretty shook up about the entire situation Cliff. You have dedicated multiple posts to bashing ASP now. Why don’t you get back to your Bush bashing/anti-war posts, I’m sure they were much more interesting.

  11. Richard Warnick Says:

OK, I got bored and followed Cliff’s link. According to the story, Amalickiah had the smaller army and Lehonti’s was larger (who thinks up these pseudo-Biblical names?). So the analogy is off from the get-go. Take a look at the polls, ASP. Oh, right, you said even the Military Times poll is wrong because people get their information from the media instead of from right-wing websites.

  12. Cliff Says:

    Welcome Anthony,

If you peruse this blog, you’ll find that there are a number of authors on this blog. We all identify ourselves with real names and photos.

I recall you prefer to remain anonymous on A Soldiers Mind because as you say, “I am afraid someone like you or Nephi may show up on my door.” Hmmm.

    Sucks to live in fear.

Anywho, as far a your request for more Bush bashing, I am more interested in YOUR mind and those who still support Bush and this failed illegal war. Bush has well established himself to be an idiot so we just call him names and stuff.

But YOU on the other hand, are a source of great consternation and mystery. What makes YOU more loyal to a rich boy coke head idiot than your won countrymen and out principles and liberties?

What makes you think you are smarter than all the really smart respected World leaders who wouldn’t hire Bush to shovel shit at a goat fuck?

    Hmmm?

  13. Caveat Says:

I wouldn’t hire bush for such an endeavor either, but I have to tell you Cliff, though I’ve polished my bush bashing to a fine point, and am proud, I’ve got to hand it to you. The goat fuck comment was BRILLIANT. Kudos.

(grinning all the way to work)

  14. Nephi Says:

Thet’re still spouting over there at ASP and calling names - today we are being called scorpions. Kinda makes me proud to be called a scorpion. I’ll even bet there are military guys called scorpions - really, really tuff dudes, like Navy Seals.

If anyone want’s to read the story about the scorpion and the turtle, yet again, it’s over at ASP under “Darn the Resolutions,” Comment No. 97. PJ told it this time. It’s a story that appears to resonate with the ASP’rs by the frequency with which it is repeated. Maybe it’s told in the Book of Mormon, too. CJ??

Cliff, your invitation for the good corporal and Anthony (and all ASP and ASM folks) to continue posting at OneUtah - without fear of cencorship - is right on. A bit ironic given the current state of affairts over at ASP, perhaps, but right on. Thank you. I hope they take you up on your invitation. They should!

  15. glenn Says:

I was born in November, so you see, I really am a Scorpion. First thing that crawled out of the ocean and onto the land supposedly, and for unexplained reasons still here on earth.

Anthony, no need to bash bush the towering icon, he has already fallen, killing saddam was like killing his golum. What we want to do now is bash the base of the tower, that would be you all, that still support the madcap affair. It is the last part of the clean up.

Besides I am hoping that you have better raps than bush did, as to why we must “stay the farce” .

  16. Richard Warnick Says:

Isn’t it supposed to be The Scorpion and the Frog?

  17. Cliff Says:

Why thank you caveat. I must however give credit where credit is due. Nephi first introduced me the concept. I believe its roots are in country fairs in rural Vermont.

    Very creative folks up there.

  18. Nephi Says:

    Richard,

These are really, really tuff scorpions over at ASP, able to penetrate the thick-plated armor of a turtle’s shell. I’m betting these particular scorpions have depleted uranium stingers. :)

  19. Frank Staheli Says:

    Cliff,

Sorry I’ve been away for a couple days, and am now catching up.

The Amalickiah story really is an interesting one, although I’m not sure why CJ used it in his “Ban-Cliff” defense. His statement about it being only a Soldier’s Perspective is fine, and in that vein I can see why he might only let soldiers make posts, but I think it informative to let anyone make comments.

I was sad to hear, after CJ made the Happy New Year post, that he got vetoed by Cpl M.

  20. Cliff Says:

What most interesting to me, beside the flipflopping is CJs post on the ArmyTimes poll. Even spinning it in the best possible light, he is gently letting ASP readers know, the there are signs of trouble in the ranks.

Then, oblivious to all of it, Terri and Sue further criticize my version of the same survey. Check this gem from Sue, “not one of my now more than 60 guys that I have had, has told me that he thought it was a hopeless quagmire that the media and politicians say it is. Are they frustrated at times? You bet your butt they are. But who, please tell me who in this whole country, isn’t frustrated with their job or their boss at times? I know I sure am.

This technique is called equivocation. Using the same logic you could say, “well more people dies in car accidents so whats the big deal if a few soldiers die in Iraq?”

Then this winner from PJ, “Absolutely agree with everything that sue said. The trouble with polls is, that anyone can interpret them any way they choose, to grind whatever ax they have.”

i.e. Self-validate and attack the messenger.

    Whatdyagonnado?

  21. Richard Warnick Says:

I don’t know if anybody has pointed this out, but the Amalickiah story implies truth is poison for some people. Reality, as Stephen Colbert so memorably stated, has a well-known liberal bias.

  22. Frank Staheli Says:

I don’t know about the Colbert quote, but touche’ on the Amalickiah one!

  23. PJ Says:

Richard…Frog, turtle, Subaru what the heck. We know who the scorpion is don’t we?

  24. Anthony Says:

I am no more anonymous than anyone else you pass by in conversation. You know my name, you know that I’m a U.S. Army Soldier. What else could you possibly need to know? I don’t want to be your friend, I’m sure you really have no desire to be mine.

I am no more loyal to President Bush than I am anyone else in this country. As I raised my hand and swore to God to uphold the Constitution of the United States, follow the orders of my Commander in Chief and protect the freedoms of this great nation.

I have never claimed to be any smarter than the next guy, please if I have let me know. I would have to retract that statement. I love my job and I love this country and the liberties we have. Multiple times I have signed on the dotted line to defend it to the death.

  25. Cliff Says:

PJ, Its all a matter of perspective. Don’t worry hon, if those mean terrorists come looking for you, I’ll protect you.

  26. Caveat Says:

Anthony, thanks for your service. I just wish that the ‘cic’ weren’t such a scumbag. Seems to diminish your ideal, don’t it?

  27. Cpl M Says:

Cliff, I’m still waiting for you to address the screenshot that you’ve completely ignored up to this point. Give me a half hearted explanation and I’m done with you and OneUtah. However, if you manage to reach down deep and admit your mistakes we’ll play the mind games you dearly want to play. Either way, ball is in your court. I’ll check back in a day or two.

  28. Cliff Lyon Says:

    Hi CplM,

Welcome to OneUtah. I wasn’t able to read the graphic. What does it indicate?

More impotantly, what does it mean.

Do the posts indicate your response to our position that we should redeploy and leave Iraq and surrender our role as proxy?

Abandon our basis and allow the Iraqis to rule there own country.?

If not, what is your plan for success?

  29. Cpl M Says:

Don’t try to play stupid now, Cliff. You know how large images render in modern browsers. Click the image to blow it up to full view and use your vertical and horizontal slide bars to look at all of the image.

Like I said, we don’t play the games you want to play until you’ve admitted your lies and deception or provide a damned good explanation.

  30. Cliff Lyon Says:

CplM, Just tell me what lies you are talking about, but please don;t ask my to say I am multiple people. I am cliff on a wifFi.

  31. Cpl M Says:

You may very well be “cliff on a wifFi” but what about all of the other comments that came from your IP address using the names MilMom, One Nephi, Nehpi, and others? You made a half-hearted attempt to explain this by saying that SLC has WiFi access all over downtown, but you were not using the downtown WiFi access when you visited ASP.

There are not any lies behind what I say, Cliff. All I want is a valid explanation. You sure are at a loss to provide one, and I find that very amusing considering your knack for analytical thinking.

  32. Caveat Says:

Cpl M, I’ve wondered if the smudging of nyms from this site to your own couldn’t be due to our linking thru OneUtah directly over there. I don’t know. Also, it can’t be denied that some of us (myself included), sometimes use alternate nyms to counter our own points, and for other reasons. It is my belief that Cliff doesn’t play that game, that he’s actually interested in dialog and, of course, peace. Best C.

  33. Cliff Lyon Says:

    Cpl M.

Thank you for your kind words regarding my “knack for analytical thinking”. I think of it as civil responsibility against the dangers of statements of opinion in the absence, if not outright rejection, of analytical thinking.

As for your question about “all of the other comments that came from your IP address using the names MilMom, One Nephi, Nehpi, and others?”

Are there specific comments from those sources that you’d like to discuss for content, or fact?

I look forward to helping resolve your concerns.

  34. Cpl M Says:

The content of the comments doesn’t mean anything to me. I won’t agree with the content no matter how hard you try so any attempt to sway my opinion is quite futile.

The issue that I would like resolved is why comments from your IP address claim to be so many different people. I am uninterested in any discussion beyond that issue. If you don’t have a valid reason then just say so and I’ll consider the matter closed.

  35. Nephi Says:

    Cpl.M.,

If I may, I have spoken often that Nephi is Nephi, and not Cliff or Milmom. Why is that explanation so difficult to comprehend? Reread several of the explanatory posts over the past few weeks. Yes, I sit in the same room as Cliff, and even discuss certain of my posts with him before hitting the submit button.

Look at my IP address today, and you will see it is the same address that many of Nephi’s comments have derived during the past several months and, moreover, it is not the same IP address that Cliff uses, and which many of Nephi’s comments also derive.

Again, why is this fact so difficult for you, a certain computer whiz, to comprehend?

  36. Cpl M Says:

    Nephi,

I can’t see the IP address associated with your last comment. All I have to go on is the evidence from ASP and that clearly tells me that all of your comments, all of Cliff’s comments, all of MilMom’s comments, and all of the other names are coming from the exact same IP. There was not a single comment from any of the names in question from any IP address other than 71.199.57.125.

Cliff has done a pretty shoddy job offering his own defense. You and he may very well be different people, but that does not explain MilMom or the other names used. All I want is an explanation from Cliff, not you, on the IP address mess. We all can then move on with our respective lives.

  37. Cliff Lyon Says:

    Cpl M,

I would love to satisfy your need for an explanation, unfortunately, doing so would compromise the anonymity of others for whom I have no right or business revealing.

I am not MilMom, and its none of your business.

I don’t suppose you are willing to give away information about ASP readers just as you do not demand it from them.

I am particularly saddened by your comment, “The content of the comments doesn’t mean anything to me. I won’t agree with the content no matter how hard you try so any attempt to sway my opinion is quite futile.”

You are a very young brash man quite full of vim and vigor. Even if the above statement is true, I suggest you not broadcast it all over the place. There is no honor in being stubbornly closed-minded. Such an attitude will lead to great unhappiness and general failure in life.

    Good luck corporal.

  38. Cpl M Says:

“I am not MilMom, and its none of your business.”

See, Cliff. That is where you’re wrong and where you once again play dumb. It is very much my business as many of the comments from the IP in question, your IP, were very abusive of my readers. You further made it my business when you very publicly insulted CJ, me, and our wives.

There is something called personal accountability. This is the part where you’ll likely play dumb once again. Everyone is responsible for their actions and the repercussions of those actions. Since you will not provide any sort explanation behind the issue, you will have to deal with taking the fall for it all. I’m sure you’ll be fine with this.

    “I am particularly saddened…”

Be saddened all you wish. I’m surely not sad. I have a very firm base of morals and that is what a lot of my convictions, political and not, are based. Your arguments against the “immoral war” fall on deaf ears with me as I do not believe the war is immoral. That is just one example of how we differ. Respect my morals and you’ll get the same from me.

This will likely be the end of my commenting on OneUtah. I attempted to learn the truth and have come away with nothing more than when I started. I do not have any more time to waste on this search. I wish you all farewell.

  39. Cliff Lyon Says:

    Cpl M,

Show me where MilMom was abusive so we can decide for ourselves.

    Thanks

  40. Anthony Says:

    Cpl M-

These folks here are rather clueless. They find themselves in the wrong and rather than offer an explanation they avoid the conversation. None of these guys will ever satisfy your question. Your making their “world” collapse so they’ll just change the topic and pretend like you haven’t asked any questions. It’s almost like talking with a child who has done something wrong. Unfortunately children will eventually tell the truth, these guys are so lost they can’t remember it.

  41. Cliff Lyon Says:

    Tony and Cpl M,

Why is it that the only non substanive comments around here come from you Militant authoritarian followers? Hmmm?

Here at OneUtah, we engage in subjects that that pertain to our world, truth and justice. You seem only interested in…????

    “Clueless?” Pure brilliance gentlemen.

“World collapse?” If you knwe much history, you’d know how tired that one is.

If there is a world collapse, it will be because of Bush and the noe-cons.

Please do tell us the “truth” bitch.

  42. Nephi Says:

    Anthony,

Your post reminds me of my discussion a while back with DownHomeGirl re WMD and the purported connection between Saddam and al Qaeda pre 9/11. I flooded that post with evidence that no such connection ever existed - even used DHG’s own sources of info to discredit her position. Yet in the end, you simply cut off my comments - either you didn’t appreciate the evidence against this common myth of Bush-supporters or you didn’t like posts that evidence rational thought on your site. Either way, more Repug censorship was the result.

Both Cliff and I (Nephi) have responded to Cpl.M on a dozen different occasions. Yet because he (and now apparently you) don’t like the answer, then obfuscation and deflection results - really, who gives a rat’s behind if someone is insulted? There are people dying every day in Iraq because of the American government, and you and Cpl.M are pissed because someone was insulted on a blog.

PPPPLLLLEEEEAAAASSSEEEEEE!!!!!! Take a pill or two, there bub!

  43. Anthony Says:

And Cliff continues to prove my point. Rather off topic as usual. Attacking Bush because he can’t find anything else to speak about.

  44. Anthony Says:

Nephi fuck you and your stupid ass logic. I didn’t censor you, I censored everyone on my website. If I wanted to single you out I would have. You have not been banned from my site nor has anyone else. I didn’t feel like listening to the lot of you bitch anymore so I closed the post.

Go feel sorry for yourself with someone else. I personally don’t give two shits about you.

  45. Anonymous Says:

You liberal Nazi’s are fucking retards!

  46. Nephi Says:

    Anthony,

Please do me a favor and tell Terri that the Chiefs lost the game today.

    BTW, why all the profanity?

  47. Naked Hottie Says:

Wow, the natives are restless tonight. Bring me some red meat Daddy.

  48. Nephi Says:

    Yo Hottie,

Which do you prefer, American, British or Iraqi?

  49. Naked Hottie Says:

I prefer big dumb Bush lovers. They’re a little quick on the draw, but they’re easy to dump.

  50. Caveat Says:

    Let’s dump ‘em NOW.

  51. Nephi Says:

Anthony says: “I didn’t censor you [Nephi], I censored everyone on my website.”

Oh, ok Anthony, now it all makes sense. Keep up the censorship - if it works for Bush … then it ought to work for your website.

  52. Anthony Says:

Nephi like I said before. Fuck you. Your a little bitch who seems to need a lot of attention. Why don’t you just leave it at that.

I really don’t care what you have to say. Your still welcome on my blog as I stated earlier. If I wanted to sensor you I would block your IP from my servers. Unfortunately since all of Utah seems to use the same IP address I’d lose about 3 readers. Maybe I’m mistaken on that issue though, hopefully Cliff can clarify that. Utah really needs to invest in a few more blocks of IP addresses.

  53. Anthony Says:

Oh shit! I better correct that before the spelling Nazi, Cliff, attacks me. I intended to type: You’re

  54. glenn Says:

And…. the insurgency wins that round boys.

    Our new strategery:

    21,ooo noobs on the wall
    21,000 noobs
deploy one out, thrash him about

    20,999 noobs up on call,

    20,999 nooobs up on call,
    20,999 noooobs,

    You I E D, some probably
    20, 995 up on call….

continue until blindness ensues, or the force is broken.

Brought to you by bp, exxon, etc. and their loving constituents, in the middle east.

  55. Anthony Says:

Wow Glenn that is a pretty funny post. It is always funny to make jokes about the deaths of Soldiers who protect the freedoms you have such as making that terrible poem.

    You’re a piece of shit.

  56. glenn Says:

Anthony, the point is that those that are going to send them are figuring this way, not me.

If it were up to me I would preserve the troops to the best of our ability, this strategy has little hope of working and just about everyone knows it and has advised against. It is to many a worthless sacrifice. The poem is a pillory of our civilian command, which is lacking in competence and has put so many in harms way.

My concerns are for the troops that are so misused, not the least of which is the bills we will be paying to widows, families, and the disabled that will last the rest of their altered lives.

I don’t think the effort is worth it, and would pillory anyone that would use sworn US soldiers as for it. Not to mention the cost in worn out equipment, and infrastructure we built in Iraq at 5 times the normal contracting price. It has been expensive and your opinion notwithstanding, a waste of human, military, physical, and even moral capital.

What are we going to get for our dead?…. that we should already have had by now, according to the crew of experts that have been mismanaging this war… at your expense I hasten to add, hence the poem.

US military troops service in Iraq is not making me free, it is costing plenty. I disagree with it.Tell me what good will come of what is going on so I can understand and further justify your sacrifices. Until then, every person that dies in the oncoming future in this war, on all sides, will be viewed as wasted by me. The casual way our leadership casts so many towards their deaths disturbs me, to the point,

    the poem.

It is bushs’ sacrifice poem, he always was easy about consigning people to their deaths as the guvner texicutioner . Its for his legacy, yeah that’s it.

  57. Anthony Says:

You can back peddle all you want glenn you are still a piece of shit.

  58. Susie Says:

    Anthony,

You’re brilliance is mind blowing. What was your rank before you became a chicken shit?

Let me guess…one stripe for showing up, Another for being white?

How come you’re not in Iraq anyway? Didn’t they want you anymore? Maybe WhiteRose took your bench seat?

  59. lynette Says:

Anthony - you call Glenn a chicken shit….how do you know this? Personal experience?

  60. Anthony Says:

Chicken shit, don’t believe those words came from me. It’s ashame your such a fucking moron who can’t read.

Susie, are you fucking stupid? Not everyone in the military deploys to Iraq. That would leave the country sort of vulnerable, and also would leave our deployed Soldiers with no support. Support, yeah nevermind that wouldn’t be a topic you would know about. You have probably never supported your country or your fellow man in any way.

  61. lynette Says:

I bet Susie’s supported her fellow man in lots of ways. Right Susie? Anthony obviously hasn’t had the pleasure.

  62. Marine With Metal Says:

…and you run a blog called “A Soldiers Mind”? Thanks for your service, but no thanks. You don’t represent me. Go back to school.

Damn this blog is full of morons. Good luck to you all. I have had a blast making fools of you all. I’m surprised you let me make fun and abuse you all so long. Just had to make sure I came over and trashed your blog like you all kindly did to mine.

“I’m surprised you let me make fun and abuse you all so long.”

…And therein lies your mortal defect. You cannot abuse true freedom. As such you are welcome back always and forever.

    Hoping you try reality someday.

Anthony, who’s back peddling, diarrhea mouth, so incoherent you can’t EVEN consolidate into S*** ? You have made fools of us all in your mind, you are big time, we’re saving you a place at the truth and reconciliation conference. NOT!. I think you have sexuality issues Ant Honey, and fer sure will get what’s coming in you.

Hey, I’m not the one going to get shot at, I doubt you are either. I would only make your job/ sacrifice, carrot waxing, have some purpose in iraq, and ensure that you are not at risk for nothing.

On 2nd thought maybe we won’t try to make your lives sacrifice purposeful, and abandon you to the people that sent our boys over there.

    Anthony,

Lets be very clear. We support our troops, serving and refusing.

You are still just Anthony as painful as that must be.

  67. Frank Staheli Says:

    Anthony,

I’ve read Soldier’s Mind a little bit (and I really like the content there), so I’m surprised at the different tone of voice you take here. You may have intended it to be a satire of others’ comments on your web site, but it doesn’t come across that way here.

I, as a member of the armed forces, am embarrassed by it. And I can’t imagine that you really meant it, so I hope you apologize to one and all here on One Utah.

Nonetheless, I will continue to enjoy your blog.

  68. Nephi Says:

I, too, am a bit surprised by the tone in Anthony’s posts. When an otherwise reasonably articulate and well-spoken writer comes unglued at the hinges as evidenced above, I am left to ponder just what the problem is. Could Anthony be finally seeing the light of day, and not like what he is seeing - hence the need to assail the messengers?
