Olbermann: Special Comment on “Sacrifice”

Olbermann: If in your presence an individual tried to sacrifice an American serviceman or woman, would you intervene? Would you at least protest? What if he had already sacrificed 3,003 of them? What if he had already sacrificed 3,003 of them — and was then to announce his intention to sacrifice hundreds, maybe thousands, more?

    Last night on NBC News, Jim Miklaszewski reported that Bush’s new “surge and accelerate” plan will be announced next Tuesday, and that an administration official “admitted to us today that this surge option is more of a political decision than a military one.”

    They are not even pretending that our soldiers are risking their lives to change the outcome of the war. Like Olbermann said, it’s just a human sacrifice on the altar of politics.

    The rich ought to be sacrificing some of their damn taxcuts. the republican muckedy-mucks ought to be sacrificing some of thier kids. This is such Bullshit.
