A Chicken Shit Named ‘Patriot’

What would you call yourself if you were a traitor? This guy calls himself Patriot. A fairly simplistic deception by someone the US Military would hardly hold out as a beacon of intelligence.

Over at A Soldiers Deception Perspective blog author calling himself ‘Patriot’ is calling US congressmen, US Military Officers and mother’s of slain US soldiers, ALL subversive. It then comes as little surprise he also refers to an independent media outlet (Democracy Now) featured daily on NPR stations as ’socialist. This guy is a classic hate-monger.

If the brave Minutemen who fought for our independence knew this chicken s–t (he won’t use his real name) called himself a patriot, they would prepare a special place for him IN HELL.

Smart soldiers keep their politics zipped. It’s time CJ reeled in this idiot less someone confuse CJ with ASP’s idea of a patriot.

My name is Cliff Lyon, Mr. “Patriot” who are you?

Update: ‘Patriot’ has not identified himself. I have a strong suspicion he does not serve in the military.

Sorry to see the ASP Crazy Hat Day is a flop. Someone should have mentioned to you, big tough REAL men don’t do crazy hats.

Isn’t is time you re-evaluate the company you keep?

In case you haven’t noticed, the sane soldiers are over here.

I agree with you that Patriot is a bit overboard. He’s made some pretty snide replies to my comments on ASP, particularly when I suggested that the way the Shias taunted Saddam before his before his death was completely inappropriate. I agree in wondering why someone would want to hide behind a moniker rather than let their real name be known–I feel somehow as though I’m considered by him or her to be less of a patriot than him or her.

However, I must admit that I agree in general with the sentiment of Patriot’s post that you link to (although not with the crass commentary that it is filled with). My comments of last night to that specific post imply that it is the Constitutional duty of soldiers to follow their commander in chief, and it is the duty of the soldiers’ families and their politicians to remove the military from actions and situations that it should not be in, or to remove the Commander in Chief who puts the military in such situations.

I applaud Watada’s passion. I think he is entitled to his passion, which could be very educational to the soldiers that he serves with. I also abhor those on ASP who refer to him as Wetarded or whatever it was; such mudslinging accomplishes less than nothing. But it is his responsibility to serve or to ask for a discharge if he feels like he may in the future be asked to do something he feels is not right. It is not the option of someone, once they are called up, to request a reassignment.

I thought a great deal about this subject in 2002 when I contemplated having to serve and not really seeing the legitimacy of going into Iraq. But I realized at that time that I had signed on the dotted line, that I had re-enlisted several times, and that it was my duty, regardless of politics, to serve when called.

I’m not on ASP, so here’s my contribution to “Crazy Hat Day.”

  4. Nephi Says:

That’s excellent, Richard. I am certain the boys and girls over at ASP will find some humor in your contribution.

  5. Another CJ Says:

Man, I still think you have a man-crush on everyone at ASP!!

  6. Nephi Says:

    Man-crush? Not me. I have a Terri-crush.

Have you seen her photo on her blog?

Terri is one hot MilBabe! Wish I were a soldier ….

  7. lynette Says:

What? Nephi? Please, remember you and me? We have something. Something big!

  8. One Utah » Blog Archive » Patriots or Traitors? Says:

[...] And it occurred to me our embarrassingly patriotic Milblogger friends and those others who still support Bush, would have been traitors during the American revolution. They would have been “loyalist” as they we known at the time. [...]

  9. Gunther Says:

Terri was prison guard, she has cuffs and all I bet Neph.
