Left to Big Media and president Bush, we would be left to think Iran is just another backwater in the sand dunes of the Middle East bent on the destruction of the American people not unlike the NEW Iraq we’ve created by bombing them back the middle ages and allowing the exodus of their middle class and intelligencia.
But we would be wrong, fatally wrong. Most Iranians would be quick to remind you, they are not Arabs, but rather Persians. Their language is Farsi, an Indo-European language closer to Italian than Arabic.
Iran is a modern country teeming with young well-educated people still patiently paying the price for the setbacks of failed POST-WWII American imperialist policies.
What most Americans DON’T know but anyone who knows Iran knows, is that Iran is so very close to being a real democracy. The ruling mullahs have a VERY tenuous hold on their power.
If we bomb Iran, we will set them back another decade or more, and this is precisely what Bush and the Mullahs want.
We cannot allow Bush to punish the Iranian people for the actions of a group of arms merchants operating through Iran

I just finished reading Scott Ritter’s book on U.S. policy toward Iran. I learned two things: (1) Israeli intelligence on Iranian nuclear labs is very good and (2) there is not one shred of evidence from Israeli intel or the IAEA that indicates the existence of an Iranian nuclear weapons program.

Spencer Ackerman on Talking Points Memo covers Bush’s argument-by-innuendo regarding Iranian weapons in Iraq. To put the administration’s position in context, it might be helpful to remember that many Americans have been killed by U.S. - made weapons in Iraq, weapons sent there with the approval of the highest levels of our government. Like the Iranian weapons, they were sold to our enemies on the thriving black market.

Yeah, exactly! We’ve been brainwashed into thinking these peoples’ only goal, individually and as a whole, is to destroy us. In every commute/traffic jam in every city in the US, a voting American is lied to, that this is the defining “evil” of our time. In reality, they just want to live life and raise their kids, just like we do. I will post these on to the Hannity, O’Reilly, Limbaugh, Beck forums, but I think their contracts are clear…
