Proof Bush Lied to Congress and America - Part 2

Former high level CIA guy Ray McGovern has written possibly the most authoritative Proof Bush Deceived America called State of War: the Secret History of the CIA and the Bush Administration

I don’t imagine Mommabird/Rebublog will run out a read it if Mommabird even comes out from under the rock to which he/she seems to have retreated. It may well be that the discovery of the “Made in China” label in the American flag boasting of obedient patriots living his/her home, has send her into a deep depression. Or maybe Mommabird is just still looking for one made in America.

Anyway, here’s proof of another lie for ya.

The most damning element of the British Cabinet Office memos popularly called the “Downing Street memos;” namely, that “the intelligence and the facts were being fixed around the policy.” The result is that it is no longer credible to maintain that the failures in the Iraqi intelligence were the product of a broken intelligence community. The Bush administration deliberately fabricated the case against Iraq, lying to Congress and the American people along the way.

…senior CIA officials had concluded that “the quality of the intelligence on weapons of mass destruction didn’t really matter,” since war was inevitable. That perverse attitude certainly prevailed two months later, when the fabricated National Intelligence Estimate on Iraq and WMD was produced by Tenet’s National Intelligence Council in a successful attempt to deceive Congress into voting for war.

More proof;

Yes Bush knowing lied about Iraq having WMD. They had the info that the report linking Saddam buying yellow cake uranium from Africa was absolutely and completely false. Why do most people not understand that is what the Scooter Libby trial was really all about.

- Rumors that Saddam has purchased the uranium
- Cheney asks the CIA to check it out
- CIA sends Wilson and he finds the rumors to be false
- Wilson files the report with the CIA who in turn gives it to Cheney
- Bush announces in his speech to sell the war that the rumor is actually true and that ‘the smoking gun could be mushroom cloud’
- Wilson writes the article in the Washington Post
- Bush and Cheney are pissed because their lie is exposed
- Cheney, with Bush authority, ‘leak’ Plames name as a CIA agent (Plame is Wilson’s wife) and they direct Libby, Armitrage, and Rowe to get the word out to their sources
- Libby is the fall guy when they realize their ploy will not work

  1. Cliff Lyon Says:

Their were 2 PBS documentaries that played over and over during the Gore Bush campaign in 1999 about their respective lives. They interviewed old friends of each who said for instance that Gore was a regular pot smoker.

Bush’s friends told about how George W. used to throw coke parties every night by the pool at Daddy’s house during the five or so years he was supposed to be in the Nat’l Guard.

I would kill to get my hands on that tape. If anyone can find it, I’m buying.

    tks

Beat the dead horse, till it tenderizes, and tastes like chicken.

Anybody seen bossy? Time to slay that cow and eat it too.

Say it with music and video. Neil Young wasn’t big in the pro lynching crowd back in the day, but he’s always said it like he saw it.

It seems our most verbose friend Mommabird has faded away from the harsh glare of fact and reality.

I pray she will return in due time after recovering from the bruising humiliation of the realization that she has been fooled and betrayed by the cabal lead by George Bush.

She was making such good progress, too. Maybe she’s preparing rings on a blessed rope for dickus - kinda a self-imposed initiation of sorts.

  6. Bradley Ross Says:

I read your two part post interested to see what “proof” you had. How disappointing to see only assertions offered as proof. Maybe someday someone will actually produce evidence. I’m still waiting…

Gore’s interpretation of facts surrounding global warming are not generally in dispute. It is his interpretation of those facts that is in dispute. Even though Gore is wrong, he isn’t a liar. Bush may have misinterpreted the facts (and your quote above concedes them as facts), but that doesn’t make him a liar.
