There was a frightening recommended diary on Daily Kos this past Wednesday called Anthrax Attack on Congress may have been launched by Government Agency? I happened to notice it ended up with over 700 comments long after it fell off the recommended list at around 200 comments.
The implications of course are startling. No less startling perhaps than the idea that 9/11 was an inside job.
The other night, I watched a video of a press conference on May 9th 2001 at the Press Club in Washington DC. I was struck by one of the last speakers comments who repeated the warnings of Wernher von Braun about how the government would lie about national security threats to perpetuate the military industrial complex.
Of course 9/11 happened only three months later. WAS the anthrax attack a plan B that was executed cause plan A had gone so well…hey why not?

The mystery of the 2001 anthrax mailings seems to be: if the anthrax in the envelopes addressed to Senators Daschle and Leahy could only be produced by a select group of people working in a few sophisticated bioweapons labs, why does the case remain unsolved?

Von Braun was soo familiar with the scenario, he lived it, as did Goering,who enacted it. Before he killed himself, he proclaimed that it was easy to get the public to go to war. As he explained at the Nuremburg trials…
“Of course the people don’t want war. But after all, it’s the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it’s always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it’s a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger.”

Pay attention Larry.
Von Braun was a scientist and a technician, and extremely intelligent, in all avenues of human endeavor. He understood exactly that he was little more than a tool of the nazis, and then as they were defeated and he and his people were spirited to America to work on ballistic missiles, he became our tool. We are spiritually not too far from NAZIS!
Ask an Indian what he thinks.
