Wrong War in the Wrong Country

Today, in a speech at Charleston Air Force Base in South Carolina, President Bush continued to claim that American forces in Iraq are primarily fighting Al Qaeda terrorists. After making an unusually detailed series of false and misleading statements, he concluded:
I’ve explained the connection between al Qaida and its Iraqi affiliate. I presented intelligence that clearly establishes this connection. The facts are that al Qaida terrorists killed Americans on 9/11, they’re fighting us in Iraq and across the world, and they are plotting to kill Americans here at home again. Those who justify withdrawing our troops from Iraq by denying the threat of al Qaida in Iraq and its ties to Osama bin Laden ignore the clear consequences of such a retreat. If we were to follow their advice, it would be dangerous for the world — and disastrous for America. We will defeat al Qaida in Iraq.
America is straining its military resources fighting the wrong war in the wrong country, but nobody can tell President Bush.
The reality is that (1) the occupation of Iraq does nothing to stop global terrorism, and (2) evidence is mounting that the whole Iraq fiasco is a gift to Al Qaeda, which is thriving in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Al Qaeda is now better prepared to attack the United States than it has been since 2001.

That He and His started this war using lies doesn’t change the fact that if He says it’s true…It’s true! He is, after all, ‘our one true revelator and president’. Praise be! Conyers and Pelosi both know this. Try to understand.

“Wrong War, Wrong Country” is a great title for Bush’s Memoir. I should add it to the list of potential names at the Name W’s Memoir Contest.

In the pro-war lexicon, flowers and huggs = IED’s and car-bombs. Littrle wonder we ‘peacenicks; got it wrong.
Also, can we recall that embarrassment of a rep from the great state of Utah, Cannon? Please.

Bush can’t wait for the next attack. Now is the time for impeachment.

Right. Impeach somebody. AG Gonzales, Cheney, So many, so ripe, but leave alone the ones already exposed to prosecution (a fat %), and get this ball a rollin’. By acquiring and presenting the evidence of misconduct to the people, pressure will be put on senators and congresspersons to either validate the bush doctrine that they are insignificant superfluous sycophantic nobodies, or the real representatives of We The People.
What’s it gonna be?

How about bush: just plain wrong.
Cav, what’s it going to be? I am sure the democratic leadership fancies itself clever while they give bush and crew enough rope to hang themselves. Meanwhile irreparable
harm has been done to the country, and more Iraqis and US troops are dead and maimed. If and when they do get rid of bush, it will bitter, and who in name of Christmas will ever trust them again? The same kind of people that voted for bush twice…scary.
Meanwhile, the only persons talking about a complete repeal of the unconstitutional patriot act, is Paul and Kucinich. Hillary is every bit the next tyrant in waiting, she can’t wait to do her own will, and that of her own crazy masters. We need the middle…so badly.

I didn’t mention his majesty purposefully, knowing He’d be flushed with the rest of the effluence when and if anyone sought to trigger the mechanism. Really, though, anyone of them would do as the unravelling would drag them all under. I suspect that the CIC’s heritage will protect Him somewhat, but the face will be unable to go on with the rest of the body in the grave.
Sad about all the accumulating death and carnage, but again you can thank the emperor and his supporters for that.
As for the damage being done to the U.S., it’s mostly self inflicted and can be cured in two ways. Either we hold the perps accountable or, over time, the rest of the world will. What irks me is that the scarrier of the two prospects for many of us, seems to be our doing it. Somehow it seems that having terrorists world around follow us home is the easy and only way to go. Cowardice and stupidity, we seem to have them in spades presently. My guess is it’ll change drastically in the coming months, especially as people defer thinking about the upcoming election and focus more on the dire situation that we’re in RIGHT NOW. From now til Thanksgiving (I know another gol-dern freidman unit) ought to give better indication. In the mean time communicate with your Reps and everyone else. This is the work we wrote about needing to get done when the november elections wrapped the way they did. Keep on.

Do you really believe that our crushing debt and mindless money printing can be healed? I don’t. It is not reversible, the world can now see us going down, and if they have any sense the will continue to kick us as hard as they can, I would. How can any leadership, or our own common people be trusted? The world has figured it out and we will not get it back.
Do I blame the gator or the idiots that say it is safe to swim? The dems are now responsible, in the same way a man with a gun lets a rabid dog bite everyone in the neighborhood rather than shoot it.

We’ve bobbled it big-time without doubt. I just doubt that everybody who dislikes us will pile on in a punishing way, given that they are suffering thier own traumas (some even that we had no part in). If it seems to the broader community that karma is suitable they may even lend a hand to the thoughtful american bretheren who saw and acted all along to reign this criminality in. The real perps and enablers.get something else.
A fellah can dream.

Watch. This is their chance to rid themselves of our uninvited continuous abuse.
Why would they help? We are seemingly self destructing without a whimper.
Check the status of the German people post war, and even today, for what the world may think of our people. Then again the Americans did bring over a bunch of nazis and their scientists, probably where the current crew learned their methods. Pretty crude, but effective.

Your points are all valid. I’m writing hopefully, with a sense that there’ll be twists, turns and unexpected occurrences that, maybe just maybe, will allow us another shot at the humanity that we felt was possible not so many whiles back. Peace.

Realpolitik does not translate into pie in the sky Cav.
Hope for the best, plan for the worst. A public hanging of bush and other traitors would go a long way to reassuring the abused members of the world community, that WE THE PEOPLE in fact rule this great land, not a bunch of really rather stupid…criminals.
The only thing the dual passport rats and neo cons had going for them was public gullibility and our money. It’s all gone now…so shall they be GONE!
Electing hillary or obama will change nothing, they feed at the aipac trough, and that of corporate interests. Think upon hildy the harpy, where did she get her money to promote her politics in one of the poorest states in the Union? That would be tyson and wal-mart, so what she gonna do for us? obama already kissed the aipac ring. There will be few changes overseas.
Here is a great bumper sticker I saw yesterday:
Frodo failed…BUSH HAS THE RING!!
