Ralph Becker for Salt Lake City Mayor
We’re less than week out from the primary election for Salt Lake City Mayor. Early voting is available through the County Clerk’s office and the City Recorder’s office.
I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again - I’m a fan of Ralph Becker. He’s demonstrated in his years in the legislature strong leadership, dedication to progressive values of open and honest government, his background in urban planning has well prepared him for city leadership. Becker is smart and capable.
Ralph has a great website detailing his plans for education, the environment, diversity, air quality, downtown, transportation, neighborhoods, poverty, decision making, immigration, and human rights.
In the years I’ve been visiting the legislature Ralph Becker has been the most responsive, informed and consistently cordial legislator. Without exception, he knows the issues, understands the issues and cares about what will make life better for the people he represents.
My vote (which will be cast early) will be a vote for Becker. Vote Becker on Sep 11 (or NOW, early voting is open at the City County Building).

Besides the fact that Ralph is the most experienced and best qualified, frankly, he can bring home the bacon to SLC via the Republican State Leg who love him. Jenny is smart and ambitious, but an unknown entity to the old boys and they will attack her the way they did Rocky.
But the single best reason to elect Ralph Becker is the fact that he is not the kind of politician whose personal ambition exceeds his desire to serve his community. He knows he can do a better job than most and so feels a genuine obligation. No ego involved.
Vote Ralph!

On environmental issues, he’s far and away the best candidate. And he has the best TV ads. Two big thumbs up!

I wish I could vote in the Salt Lake City election. I have taken classes from Ralph Becker at the U and had candid discussions with him. Glenden, Cliff and Ken are right, there is nobody more able or dedicated to public service.

Ralph really is the only candidate who will carry SLC into the future. He is a thoughtful, progressive, leader.
