This is not a joke, it’s an official government logo (below, left) developed by the CIA Counterterrorist Center. Wonkette has more, including comments.
Who ya gonna call? Not the CIA, sadly. According to a former CIA operative:
Unless one of bin Ladin’s foot soldiers walks through the door of a U.S. consulate or embassy, the odds that a CIA counterterrorist officer will ever see one are extremely poor.
That was in 2001, just before the CIA missed the warning signs of the biggest terrorist attack in history. No one was even reprimanded for that fiasco. The CIA’s internal report was buried. There is no reason to think the CIA is any more competent now.
UPDATE: This is all over the blogs by now, hardly anybody can resist this level of stupidity. Some have pointed out that, despite the time stamp on the CIA web page, this logo has actually been around for years and is not new.
UPDATE: Keith Olbermann awarded the CIA Worst Person in the World honors for coming up with the terror buster logo.
