Republicans Fading Fast

Cutting through all the noise surrounding the primaries, is the remarkable apathy toward the republican candidates.

Here is a summary of turnout by party so far.

IOWA: 236,000 Democrats and 119,000 Republicans

NEW HAMPSHIRE: 284,000 Democrats and 233,000 Republicans

MICHIGAN: 593,000 Democrats and 867,000 Republicans (NOTE: Republicans had a primary with delegates at stake. Democrats did not)

NEVADA: 114,000 Democrats and 43,000 Republicans.

Another compelling fact is that McCain won South Carolina with ONE-THIRD of the votes he got in 2000 coming in second to Bush.

This is what I would call a classic paradigm shift. While the primaries are a shakeout process in which most candidates drop out when their fate becomes a foregone conclusion within their respective parties, I can’t see the front runner republicans dropping out just because they are getting killed by the front runner democrats in total votes.

So the question becomes which republican will take the fall for the party in the general election?

As much as I would like to see all of them feel the same pain as the innocent people whose torture they support, alas only one will be sacrificed. If it is in fact possible that Sen. Joe Liebermann will run on the ticket with McCain, I’m for McCain.

Apparently, republican voters are beginning to appreciate the moral corruption of the republican party (and yes, some blue-dog-shit sellouts democrats too, like our own Utah Congresspussy Jim Matheson).

    Actually, I prefer Congresspansy.

This IS the big story of these primary races, so naturally the “liberal media” chooses to completely ignore it.

    Liberal media, my ass!

Today, Tom Brokaw said republicans are moving towards McCain because he’s “authentic.” You would NEVER hear him say that word about ANY Democrat, EVER!

Yet Brokaw is supposed to be the point guy on what the 60’s movement was all about. Give me a break!

“Those who cast the votes mean nothing, those that count the votes mean everything”.

This far out none of that matters. It’s hilary, mcstain, and that is bad for hildy the unelectable.

It is a total elite set up. Looking real good too.
