Dude that was quick - we now have a domestic partnership registry

At least, we do until the state legislature gets involved . . . .

Mayor Ralph Becker and his staff totally rock. This should have happened years ago.

It passed unanimously. We had three members of the City Council who struggled to reach their decision (Jergensen and Christensen and Martin). In the end, they all did the right thing.

FWIW, Chris Buttars is already trying to kill exactly this ordinance - see the bill here.

Wow - that definitely was quick. And surprisingly progressive for Utah’s capital city. Good for Becker, and shame on Buttars!

P.S. check out the Wikipedia entry on Chris Buttars RIGHT NOW  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Butta…)

When they come to get the homosexuals they will have a registry to help round them up. Isn’t that convenient?
