Now It’s Fear Versus Hope
I’ve had enough of Hillary. I never wanted her to win, because I think 20 years of Bush-Clinton-Bush is already too much without adding another 4-8 years of Clinton.
The latest Hillary fear campaign is conduct unbecoming a Democrat. Vote for Obama and your children could be murdered in their beds in the middle of the night. He might be a Muslim, for all we know. He secretly supports NAFTA, the treaty Hillary’s husband signed in 1993. All he’s ever accomplished is to give a speech. This is from the senator who couldn’t be bothered to go and read the Iraq NIE before voting to authorize an invasion.
“If one candidate is trying to scare you, and the other one is trying to make you think, if one candidate’s appealing to your fears, and the other one’s appealing to your hopes, you better vote for the person who wants you to think and hope.”
–William Jefferson Clinton, October 25, 2004
But Hillary’s lesson from Ohio and Texas is clear: raising fears about Barack Obama works. Exit polls from Ohio say Clinton won 55 percent of those voters who made up their minds in the last three days.
Over on HuffPo, Marc Cooper outlines the worst-case scenario. The super-delegates give the nomination to Hillary, and resulting mass protests make Denver look like Chicago 1968. Then McCain gets elected to serve Bush’s third term.

With Hillary’s wins last night it almost guarantees a brokered Democrat Convention. In a brokered convention the party bosses and powers that be will decide who the nominee will be. This has the potential of splitting the Democrat party to an extent that it may be impossible for them to win in November. Never underestimate Republican’s ability to snatch defeat in the jaws of victory and shoot themselves in the foot however. My guess is that a brokered convention will favor the establishment candidate which is Hillary. With her wins yesterday it puts her back squarely in the race. There are a lot of turn coat Democrats who prematurely dumped Hillary for Obama that are sweating tonight because they know they will face the wrath of Hillary Clinton.

Obama / Clinton in 08! Now hush yo mouf.
March 5th, 2008 at 2:03 pm
Hmmm. I think you meant Clinton/Obama in ‘08.

Well, at least we out here in just-toil-for-the-powerful-and-shut-up land can get back to being worried about the really important issues like violent video games, flag burning, and pornography while our leaders send our children off to real-life violent wars, burn the constitution, and pleasure each other and their pages in sexual congress.
Wow, that was really cynical!
I can’t help it. Hillary really displayed an interest in those non-issues. Maybe she was just trying to assure support from conservatives, but I’m sick and tired of that tact. Why, oh why, can’t we just have honest elections based on serious issues.

I was hoping for this exact scenario. Rush Limbaugh’s plan worked to a tee.

Dittoheads for Hillary! How could they vote without their heads exploding?

Democrats Face Brokered Convention…
Obama still leads in delegates and with all the hoopla last night regarding Hillary’s victories in Ohio and Texas she only closed her delegate gap by 12 according the the Associated Press and even that number is still fluid. There is no doubt that th….

Gloat all you want Gooper, your credibility is tortured and headed down the terlet. Sorry, Ken but all your ranting is for naught. Maybe in your next incarnation, maybe. Best, Cav.

Ken:
You suggest:
“If Hillary is chosen, Obama supporters, especially African-Americans, will go ballistic, but they have always been relegated to the back of the Democrat bus.”
What you overlook in making that statement is, however, the pain that many blacks have suffered in having to choose between Obama and Clinton - e.g., Rep. Lewis. Remember, it is Bill and Hillary that have done much for black causes over the years, while you Repugliscum have been shooting them in the backs. They will be happy with either candidate.
Remember Katrina, Ken, and your boy patting Brownie on the back for doing a heck of a job? You better have lots of bag balm ready come this November, Ken, ’cause you and you’re homophobe Repugliscum party are going to need it!

No Albert, I meant O / C 08…Then C / O 12…then O / C 16…then…Or something of that sort.

That way, if the phone rings at 3 a.m., one or the other of them will pick-up.

Is there no single Chess player in the Democrat party?
They are truly fools. True Believers’, owned by Deceivers.
Keep smokin’ and jokin’ Hippees. It’ a small world after all!

I play to lose (tho sometimes I win by shear luck alone). It’s an old habit, like drugs. but you know the old saw, “Life’s too mysterious to be taken to serious”. I guess I’m just one of them. You say yourself, they’re all in bed together, so what the hay?
By the way Ken, I owe you an apology; for my not taking your call alerting peace-niks to the threat of WWIII down south America way. By all means there should be peace. It’s just that I reacted to some parts of your characterization of the conflict. You understand?

Be sure…to INHALE! All will become clear upon such a focus.

Albert ;
I’ll admit I am woefully uneducated on this matter — what exactly have the Clinton’s done that have garnered such admiration among African American’s?
Giving Hillary the nomination would be the greatest thing in the world for McCain. If Obama is the nominee, you may see quite a few disenchanted Republicans (myself included) and undecided voters jump ship to Obama’s camp. On the other hand, Stalin would have a better chance of turning manyof those same undecided voters.

Phillip, it is interesting, I have maintained that the dems will self destruct at the end. It looks to be right on schedule, and we are not even close to the general election.
The super delegates might pick hillary because obama didn’t win the must win states for a general contest. They are getting nervous.
The democrat shoe in presidency could be delivered in a republican shoebox-stuffed with ballots.

Re: Hillary and blacks, (and I speculate). While she is only one option for any voter, black or white, she has til very recently represented our country quite well (AUMF and Bush’s abuses aside). She is smart, somewhat polished and empathetic across racial ‘divides’. Ideally she and Obama could focus this debate more on the differences they both have with McCain, than with each other. Hil and Ob are defaults to the hienous prospects of another Republican administration. I wish they were sterling, but they are not. So, while each of the three main cantidates have unacceptable qualities, McCain truely the worst, one of them will likely ascend to the presidency. Everybody ought to be nervous. This isn’t really a race to the bottom! Up is not really down. War not peace. Here’s where Bush (his butt-buddy McStain) and I disagree.
Let’s now look at McKinney, Gavel, Paul, Kuccinich and Nader, and wonder why they do not have more going for them.
