Rich’s Pick: Nir Rosen and Fred Kagan Debate the So-Called ‘Surge’

From PBS NewsHour last night: Nir Rosen, one of the most astute observers of the Iraq occupation, insurgency and civil war, debated Fred Kagan, the neocon architect of Bush’s so-called “surge.” Kagan is so invested in Bush administration propaganda that he won’t even admit that Iraq is under U.S. occupation. He thinks sectarian cleansing in Baghdad is a “myth.” Yet the Bush administration relies on ignorant people like Kagan to devise strategy.

Cliff wrote one of my all time favorite posts about Kagan entitled, “To Wack’a Mole or Wack ALL the Moles”
Not so much for the content (video) but for the poetic language, “Where on Earth DID Bush find this pig faced, scum-sucking, shit stain? Oh yeah, in the same festering swamp of scum from whence he himself emerged.”
I love IT.

…and it may or may not be substantively ‘true’.

The American Enterprise Institute strikes again! These geniuses probably sit around and light their farts on fire when they’re not making national policy.

Man, this Kagan creep looks like he emerged from the same hole as Karl Rove.
