McCain: ‘Surge’ Not Really Working, But Vote For Me Anyway
Do not underestimate Senator John McCain. His candidacy ought to have ended with his embarrassing stroll through the Baghdad Thieves’ Market almost a year ago. Or when he followed that up by singing the chorus of “Bomb Iran.” Or when he told us about his plan to occupy Iraq for 100 years. In January, McCain basically promised/threatened to go to war with Iran if elected.
McCain is starting to remind me of The Terminator.
Listen. And understand. That terminator is out there. It can’t be bargained with. It can’t be reasoned with. It doesn’t feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead.
Alright, so the latest theory about McCain’s candidacy is that he is counting on the success of the so-called “surge” in Iraq. Except that it turns out he’s not counting on it. Instead of hoping for a decrease in violence, McCain now predicts that al Qaeda and other anti-occupation forces will ratchet up their attacks in an attempt to help the Democrats win the White House.
In other words, no matter what happens to the occupation of Iraq in the next 7-8 months, it means McCain was right. He can’t be reasoned with.

With Hillary and Obama going for each other’s jugulars, maybe the Dems could indeed use assitance from al Q and the other anti-occupation forces in the qwest for the WH.
In all seriousness though …. [shoot], I can’t think of anything serious to say.

Vote for me, or you’re nothing but a gook.

It’s interesting that recently we had the makings a good exit strategy. Things
arewere relatively calm in Iraq, the government is functioning better than we expected it could, and Muqtada al Sadr asked for a six-month extension to the cease fire. But that window seems to have passed, and now, with a potential President McCain, we’ve only got 95 years left of our occupation!!!!
I wish alternative versions of history could play themselves out, because, seriously, I think neither Clinton nor Obama are serious about getting the troops out. The only viable candidate who is was Ron Paul.
But we’ve been hypnotized by the “lesser-of-two-evils” mantra again. When are we going to pull our heads out of our arses and realize that we can have better?

When the monetary system based on the fed taps out here in the next year, Ron will look like a genius, and he was really proposing was a little fiscal common sense.
Is the public so far distanced from reality, or too busy with their lives to see where we are headed?
The war is our economy. Our foreign policy is based on theft and acquisition by duress.
We the People are the collateral…everyone else is the collateral damage.

I heard on “Democracy Now” that since Dennis Kucinich didn’t lose his seat in the congress despite the fact Rush Limbaugh talked a whole bunch of people to switch parties for one election and get rid of him, he’s going to bring his articles of impeachment against davenport-warrior George now.
If the senate doesn’t roll over and give retroactive protection to the telecom voyeurs, we’ll see some action. Since everybody in Washington is a lawyer, nothing seems real to them unless it’s proven in a court of law. Hopefully, these bastards weren’t able to stack their own private judges high enough to stop a plethora of truly open and shut cases.
