Civil War in Iraq
How in the name of heaven or hell can we tolerate a media in their 24-7 news repetitions about Obama’s preacher (who, really, cares?) when we have civil war beginning, again, in Iraq? Shia v. Shia? And when that gets a bit hotter, in will come the Sunni’s. And Bush and McCain are linked at the hip on this stupid and evil war. And the whole thing could be foreseen, in 2002 and 2003?

The odd thing about this civil war is, the Americans may have deliberately triggered it by telling Maliki’s government to attack the Mahdi Army in Basra. Exactly why, is still a matter for speculation.

I guess McMain, Leiberman and Cheney got out of there just in time! Or perhaps expanded war was the subtext of thier mission.
War, and other international intrigues are none of MY business, at least if we are to believe our present Vice President. President in charge of Vice. Now I get it.

Chaos reigns supreme, consider that enjoining a wider war was the plan all along.
Perhaps when the Shia groups have lathered each other sufficiently, the Sunnis will join in, and in in their skilled way, kill them all, then they can appoint their dictator, and we will be exactly where we started, minus some lives and cash. Of course a goodly portion of the cash is safely within the accounts of the people that are so committed to restoring peace and democracy.
Consider that the Iraq war has a greater purpose on a geo-political level. Could it be to deny oil to the growing economy of china? Makes sense if you wish to slow them down, turning their logistical oil supply area into a chaotic mess would go a long way in accomplishing this. Same thing Chavez could do to the US eastern seaboard if he wished. Oil being heavy, messy and difficult to transport, demands that you use what is closest to your economy.
If one thinks that there is no way people could screw things up so bad in the Middle East by accident, you could well be right.
Perhaps the outcome, and then the drive to engage Iran, and Shia Islam, was the plan all along…with the side benefit of depriving china its resource. The dead diesel dry trucks are piling up already in china. Mission accomplished.
As for obamas’ preacher, it isn’t that anyone cares, it is that the general public can be made to care, and in the election cycle, that is all that matters.

The TV news tells us the reason we could hear jets flying around VERY late last night is because of a change in the wind. Sort of creeped me out.
Aurora:
Do you think it’s cool to be borrowing money from China to prevent China from prospering. Isn’t that biting the hand that feeds you. Might piss them off enough to ask us to pay the bill or worse.
I can’t help but think Carter’s plan to get away from middle eastern oil 30 years ago was a better plan, but, of course Carter was the worst president ever according to our redundant media. I have other candidates for the position of worst, and I’m sure Eisenhower would too. He thought these Texas oil guys were stupid (his word.)

Larry, a possible answer to the question of China’s pressing for debt repayment might very well be the same kind of ‘currency’ we are delivering presently in the M.I. Who they gonna call for back-up? It’s already been established, we are THAT kind of people. Forgive the erronious implication that we may be them.
Another clue that I overlooked above but that was discussed earlier was the forced resignation of Fallon, the figurative ‘only obstacle’ to expanding the war to Iran. I already miss HIM.
Oh well, ‘peace’ had a nice run, for a minute there…if my memory serves me well… maybe…er, could have anywy…I suppose a day may come… God willing.

The preferred tactic throughout imperialist history has always been, where ever possible: Let them kill as many of themselves as possible first, then take over.
When you accept that the Bush gang are not criminally stupid, and that the above has been their plan all along, well then, they are pretty smart eh?

If we haven’t noticed, nobody can make the USA do anything. Biting the hand that feeds us? Don’t worry, we aren’t going to pay, and growth in china is contingent on having a market for their stuff. We aren’t going to pay the debt, or I should say we aren’t going to pay with anything but worthless dollars.
Pissing them off? We see their ways in Tibet, and in crushing dissent in their own country. Not paying them will be a heroes errand. One way or another peaceful coexistence with Red China has never been in the cards. The more recent history has all been about the money.
Carters plan to get away from foreign oil(1978) is booming away in the “National Energy Sacrifice Zone” in Western Colorado and Eastern Utah. Take a trip, there are gas wells around Moab already. What is happening is exactly what Carter had in mind. His hair brained oil shale scheme will be brought to fruition in the near future as the technology is now available.

Aurora raises an interesting issue. Five years into the occupation of Iraq, we the people are still scratching our heads wondering what it’s really about. Bush hasn’t said anything credible yet.

The Hegelian Imperative Cliff. It is so obvious that this is the plan for the Middle East. We can trace the source to the bankers in London, and some other purely desperate people.
It is no surprise that our only ally in the region is the crown, their money interests, and some ill placed desperadoes.
The real reasons for the war, lie to the east. Bush and gang have never been criminally stupid, on the contrary, they have been criminal geniuses. In addition, they have managed to corrupt the opposition into contributing to their criminal master plan. Any attempt to hold them responsible is ludicrous, too many in complicity or ignorance have legitimized them. Always a good idea to corrupt those that may prosecute you for deeds, first.
The plan to escape, lay blame on others, and arise smelling like roses, or at least untouchable piles of money, has been in the offing since long before the plan was ever set into motion. The effect has been masterful if you understand the Machiavellian mantra.

Read this, here are a few of the criminal desperado functionaries
Do we have to wonder what kind of people they are?

So the evil Jimmy Carter had plans to extract oil from shale. That means he’s just as bad as all the rest, pitting Utahn against Utahn so he could come in and take the spoils.
Come on! Jimmy Carter (a Democrat) also told people to turn down the thermostat and put on a sweater. That so enraged the Texas oil people that they had to take him down. The fact that he had plans for other energy sources to wean us off of the middle east while we perfected alternate renewable resources for a country addicted to energy wasn’t a bad plan. It wasn’t any Democrat that called for eliminating any plans to get away from oil.
Hmm, some of these anti-Carter stances by Aurora seem awfully similar to glenn, although her/his first post here was unusually coherent.

Carters’ plans fell apart and the exxon based oil shale biz went out of business when the federal money was pulled out. 20 billion wasted, and the area went through an economic crash.
The truth always sounds the same Larry, best way to never have to remember your story, is to keep telling the truth.
You wear a sweater, Jimmy and Algore will be jet setting. They are after all so much more important than the rest of us.
We still only get 20% of our oil from foreign sources and most of that comes from Venezuela. The other 80% is domestically produced.
As in all complexities, nothing is as it seems, and Carter is similar to any other president in being coerced by big oil. His scheme after all was implemented by exxon, they got the oil shale(Gilsonite) contract and got paid with federal money.
There are no white knights, just a bunch of peasants.

Don’t you have any hero’s glenn?
March 29th, 2008 at 6:52 am
No. All men are created equal.
Hero worship is a mark of low self esteem. It keeps the idolater from truly seeing the person.
If carter is your hero, it explains a lot. If algore is your hero you are susceptible to anyone that pats you on the head. Not you personally Larry.
‘ Course I don’t know you. Please stop referring to me in the manner you do, people have their reasons to privacy on the web, and you are rather stupid to not understand them.
