As U.S. warplanes attacked targets in Basra yesterday, Bush administration officials acknowledged that their hands-off strategy toward southern Iraq in recent years has left them with little knowledge of the conflicts among competing Shiite groups there and few ways of influencing them.

Quoted as posted from the Wapo if I am not mistaken.
We’ve been in Iraq for 5…6 yrs now, and the result is ‘little knowledge’ ? I’m afraid ‘little knowledge’ is what was had by this administration before we went in and the learning curve has not been usefull in any way shape or form ever since.
Can we get the hell out of there already!
