Joe Biden Will Bring Change to Status Quo Politics

I’ve been watching Joe Biden work and speak for many years. C-Span is on 24/7 in my world.

More important than the promise he will crush his republican counter-part in debates, Obama and Biden will govern really well.

Biden ranks in the bottom 1% in personal wealth within all of Congress which means he hasn’t lined his pockets in 36 years in Washington.

He is a warrior for light.

  1. Who is watching the watchers Says:

LOL; He has been in government for 35 years!! Bottom 1%, doesn’t he still make 120k a year? So he maybe can’t be bought, he has managed to make bad decisions without getting paid. I guess given the alternative…

Look if he was so damn good his he would have made his piece long ago and made a successful run. Once again debates don’t matter, this is politics in a country of people that have children that rank in 3oth place academically. Critical thinking and deductive reasoning are not big here in the US.

He IS the status quo. I will avoid any personal observations on so amusing a comment.

Hope springs eternal. That was funny and made me laugh. Will he do things like vote authorization for war in Iraq? We need smart now, not, “I was stupid”. The man is what in his sixties? If you haven’t figured it out by now, the People shouldn’t hold their breath.

Joe Biden became a senator in 1973 at age 30. When describing Senator Biden’s accomplishments, the TV talking heads can only name two: the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act of 1994 and the Violence Against Women Act of 1994. Part of the latter was later ruled unconstitutional by the Supreme Court.

Senator Biden voted to authorize the invasion of Iraq. His plan to partition Iraq is a total non-starter that angered Iraqis. He vigorously supported the anti-consumer bankruptcy bill.

As far as we know, Obama could have picked Governor Tim Kaine of Virginia. Kaine represents change much more than Biden.

Josh Marshall thinks Joe Biden can do what the last two Democratic VP candidates failed to do– take the fight to the enemy. Some say Biden is too much of a gentleman to play the role of attack dog, but we can hope.

    Richard:

Am having a bit of trouble reconciling the above comments, but I agree with you on one thing: we can hope!

  5. Richard Warnick Says:

IMHO Biden is not the go-to guy for change, but if he wanted to he could be an attack dog.

  6. Richard Warnick Says:

Gallup poll results came today– No Biden bounce for Obama.
