I’m not sure which of these two I worry about most, McCain, the panting septuagenarian who’s having a heart attack as he contemplates the prospect of getting Sally in the Lincoln Bedroom, or Sally, who appears to be getting a quickie from one of McCain’s supporters.

Are we taking any bets on how long Sally’s charming red and white wardrobe survives on the campaign trail?

The President of the Alaska State Senate:

“She’s not prepared to be governor. How can she be prepared to be vice president or president? Look at what she’s done to this state. What would she do to the nation?”

  3. Ken Says:

I have more confidence in her ability to be President than Biden, Obama, or even McCain.

To show how much confidence Obama has in Joe Biden you only need to go to the Obama website’s merchendise section. It’s all Obama, Obama, Obama. Nothing that says Obama/Biden. Contrast this with McCains Website and it is nothing but McCain/Palin, and those were all made available the day of Her announcement. Could Obama have a bad case of Buyers remorse?

  4. Richard Warnick Says:

Ken– Tell me true. Did you know who the governor of Alaska was before two days ago? I didn’t. This lame VP pick sums up the case for Obama vs. McCain: judgment, judgment, judgment.

Yes I have heard of her. She was very outspoken against putting the Polar Bear on the Threatened Species list in the name of Global Warming because their numbers are up and they are not threatened. What I have seen and heard of her so far I like very much.

  6. Richard Warnick Says:

Ken– Just asking. Perhaps Palin is better known on the right than among the general public, however many prominent Republicans interviewed in recent days seem not to have heard of her.

BTW, Polar bears are now a federally designated endangered species, as a result of a a federal court order (obtained by environmental groups) that forced Interior Secretary Dirk Kempthorne to do the right thing. Far fewer Alaska polar bear cubs are surviving, a decline that even preceded the similar phenomenon near Hudson’s Bay, Ontario.

In the coming weeks the country is going to know much more about Sarah Palin than we will ever know about Barack Obama because the media refuses to report on Obama’s shady past. Palin is about to get the biggest anal exam of her life while Obama gets off scott free by the media.

  8. Cliff Lyon Says:

    Ken,

Does Obama’s shady past include being a coke head AND a drug dealer and about 20 years of alcoholism?

Could Obama’s shady past include war crimes, treason, corruption, blackmail, major federal offenses and a hand full of misdemeanors?

You might consider for a moment Ken, if you have aided and abetted any of Bush’s crimes. Have you ever knowingly repeated any of his lies? I know I can think of about 20 off the top of my head.

…or do you just assume he is telling the truth.

  9. Who is watching the watchers Says:

If she was so bad progressives would not be making an effort to smear her. She is a threat which is why we are seeing the assault.

When she speaks for herself, she will edify that part of the electorate that cannot stand Obama, Biden, and McCain.

I knew who she was, only because she has taken on the crony elements in her own party, and the oil majors, and won. It is quite a story.

  10. Don Says:

Good god, Ken . . . your political acumen is simply astonishing . . . really, it is! I mean, seriously, the merchandise on the website angle is gold, pure gold. And so incisive, really cutting to the heart of everything important to our country today. Good job buddy, gold stars for you!

  11. Richard Warnick Says:

It’s not a smear to tell the truth. Palin hasn’t been a governor very long, but she is already guilty of abuse of power and lying to cover it up. In her previous post as mayor of the tiny town of Wasilla, she fired the chief of police and the library director for purely political reasons.

She wants to give the oil companies access to the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge, which is opposed by a majority of Americans– and John McCain. She ran for governor as a supporter of the “Bridge to Nowhere,” but now claims to be against it.

Palin’s only national security credentials: she can kill and eat a moose.

This reflects badly on John McCain. He wanted Joe Lieberman, Karl Rove wanted Mitt Romney. To spite Rove, McCain made a snap decision to pick an un-vetted beginner.
