Sarah Palin got Pwned, McCain Got Booed
Okay, so the first issue is that the legislators in Alaska voted unanimously to release the report showing that Simple Sarah Palin did, in fact, abuse the authority of her office; the technical language of Alaska law refers to the public trust and the report found that Palin in fact violated that trust.
Seems Simple Sarah’s gambit yesterday of releasing a report exonerating herself was less than fully successful. My guess, at this point, is that even Alaska pols find Palin as distasteful as the rest of us and don’t mind making her look like a big flaming fool. The vote to release the repot was unanimous. Palin has been using Alaska to her own benefit for weeks and I’m thinking they got tired of it. Alaska pols may be notoriously and uniquely corrupt but even they have their apparently have their limits and Simple Sarah has pushed them to them.
Second: The talking heads on MSNBC and CNN kept playing and replaying videos of John McCain at rallies yesterday. You know the ones, where he takes the microphone from the loony who says, “I’ve read about him . . . Barack Obama is an Arab.” And then corrects her. And the one where he says Obama is a decent man and they don’t need to fear him and his audience started booing him.
McCain and Palin have been feeding the monster all week and now they have to tame. Sarah Palin is clearly unsuited for the office to which she is aspiring. She’s been Governor of Alaska less than two years and she’s already violated the most basic duty of an elected official, which is to hold the office as a trust. She’s the worst kind of demagogue. She likes the angry, hissing, booing crowds that adore her and her sniping. She likes the venom.
McCain, if he is the honorable man people have been pretending he is, needs to put a stop to the nonsense. He needs to say, once and for all, and strongly, this is not acceptable. He won’t of course, but he should. He doesn’t like the venom, but he hopes he can control the angry mob long enough to get their votes then he’ll be president.
Watching McCain-Palin rallies on TV it was difficult not to wonder what it’s like to know your base has been reduced to Angry White People - whose anger is directed at anyone and everyone who is not just like them and who somehow always seem to have incredibly bad hair cuts.

The moment Sarah Palin was named John McCain’s running mate the “troopergate” investigation became so politically charged that any finding is worthless and must be discounted as a political hatchet job by the powers-at-be in Alaska. You know the DNC put enormous pressure on them to make the report as bad as it could be. I other words unless the report that came out would have been the exact same if Sarah Palin was not the VP nominee then this is an example of gross corruption and abuse of authority by those who were doing investigating and releasing the report. Since this was the case the only ethical thing to do was to wait till after the election to release the report. Since they chose to be unethical then it shows that they are guilty of gross corruption and hacks of the DNC.

Ken - of the 12 committee members who voted to release the report, 8 are republicans - so I can’t imagine the DNC has any influence on them. At the time Simple Sarah was named VP candidate, the investigation had already started and she claimed she had done nothing wrong and was going to cooperate. Funny, how that changed, huh?

What is more unethical, abusing power or reporting the abuse of power. I mean really! Your whining doesn’t fool anyone. It’s the republicans fault for not vetting Sarah Palin properly in the first place. She’s unqualified and unethical, period, end of story. Blame the DNC all you want, these facts won’t change.

Sarah Palin did a lot to stir up the Republican establishment. She has made enemies by rooting out corruption in her own party. Therefore that fact there are Republicans on the committee does not guarantee impartiality. No matter how you slice it they produced a political document that must be taken for what it is.

You talk about vetting Sarah Palin when she has been given a massive anal exam by the media, however we have Barack Obama who has refused to answer questions about his close ties to terrorists and extremist organizations? You have the media that won’t report Barack Obama’s deep association with the terrorist William Ayres and take his denials at face value that he barely knew him even though they served on boards together. Their wives worked together. Obama announced his political career at Ayres home. They will not report his ties to ACORN that is now being investigated for massive voter fraud and was instrumental in the 90s to pressure (sue) banks to force them to offer sub-prime loans to people who could not possibly pay them back. Barack Obama was one of the layers in those cases that has now contributed to the problems we face today.
Obama is the most un-vetted major candidate in history and the media has been instrumental in perpetrating his subterfuge. They have not asked why he has a history with associating himself with extreme radicals and even in his book (possibly ghost written by Ayres himself) that he felt comfortable in school associating with Marxists and other subversive like minded individuals.
Now we have Louis Farrakhan pronouncing Obama as the Messiah, and unlike Rush Limbaugh he is absolutely serious.
Barack Hussain Obama is dangerous and is a clear and present danger to this country. Sarah Palin is not.

Elect John McCain. Today he promised: “As President, I’m going to end these abuses [of power] whatever it takes.”

Ken:
Dude, settle down! After all, it’s not like Obama is a GA being elected to political office based on nothing more than his religious views and membership in the predominant religion. Give it a rest. You are starting to sound really silly.
PS. Dumb ass. If you are going to discredit someone by virtue of his name, at least spell the name correctly. It’s “Hussein.”

How about Barack Insane Osama

Ken– All of the ridiculous charges you’re repeating have already been thoroughly debunked. But I don’t think ACORN has been discussed much on One Utah.
Here’s the story: ACORN hires people to staff voter registration drives. These expensive drives would be unnecessary if more states would allow same-day registration on Election Day. A small percentage of registrations gathered in these drives are inevitably invalid, and in some cases workers submit fake registrations to get paid.
Bottom line: Under the physical laws of the known universe, it is impossible for a nonexistent “voter” to cast a ballot in an election. Therefore, bogus voter registrations cannot lead to voter fraud. It’s impossible.
Josh Marshall writes:
In general, instances of intentional voter fraud are almost nonexistent. The only actual, documented case I can think of involves Ann Coulter. Coulter committed a third-degree felony by knowingly giving an incorrect address on her voter registration form in Palm Beach, Florida, and then knowingly voting at the incorrect polling place.

Making it easier and more convenient to vote invites voter fraud. Anyone who votes should have valid ID and proof of citizenship. If there was ever an organization that should be charged under the RICO statute it is ACORN. Their business is voter fraud. Which makes them enemies of the State. There crimes and all who engage in voter fraud is so heinous that the only appropriate punishment is death. The reason being is because in our country we have a peaceful transfer of power. Instead of bullets we use ballots to choose our leaders. The day the population loses faith in the voting system is the day they will pick up arms and settle their differences with lead. Voter fraud takes away legitimate votes and reduces peoples faith in the system. When your vote is taken away because someone or some organization is gaming the system you are in fact disenfranchised. In the case of Ann Coulter she has never been charged with anything and I’m sure if there was enough evidence the same people in Palm Beach that gave us the hanging chad would be more than happy to charge, convict her, and throw away the key.

Ken:
Since the media hasn’t covered Ann Coulter’s voting fraud, I assume you must be reading the truthful accounts of her vote stealing. How in the world did you come to the conclusion that she is innocent because she hasn’t been imprisoned. Don’t you ever get tired of defending vile human beings?
October 11th, 2008 at 1:30 pm
Wow, “enemies of the State.” Ken either supports totalitarianism or Sean Hannity, or both.
October 11th, 2008 at 2:14 pm
Ken:
Does this statement include Ann Coulter?
October 11th, 2008 at 2:17 pm
I say we have a run-off between Monica Lewinski and Sarah Palin. I’ll take the Presidential role.
Re: massive anal…I think we’re looking at someone who needs to stop being such an gigantic asshole.

Ken - Did you really write
>
??
Seriously, you think it should be difficult and inconvenient to vote? And you think that will give better outcomes? And exactly what kind of proof of citizenship would you require? I have no idea where my birth certificate is. I have no clue. Couldn’t find it if I had to. I last had it when I needed to get a passport. I have a driver’s license - would that suffice? What about people who don’t have driver’s licenses? Or passports? Many elderly persons don’t have such forms of ID. Should they be denied the right to vote? Making it difficult to vote only turns away the poor, working class, elderly, first time voters.
What you’ve got here, Ken, is a solution in search of a problem.
October 11th, 2008 at 11:48 pm
I’ve always thought it interesting how many people can successfully navigate the beurocracy of the welfare system (which should also require proof of citizenship) but cannot muster the ability to get a birth certificate, which you can get from the county you were born. It isn’t hard to get proof of citizenship people just don’t want to bother doing it and liberals want the ability to vote without any ID so they can register illegal aliens and those inneligable to vote and bus them to multiple polling places with promises of cigerrettes, booze, and cash. (Which is exactly what groups like ACORN are doing). It should be a federal offense punishable with prison to offer any kind of cash or reward to get someone to vote. Remember one of the main reasons why Democrats are soft on illegal immigration is because it brings in a steady stream of potential Democrat “voters”.
Every illegal vote is a vote taken away from you.

Ken is off the deep end. I think it is time to simply not engage him. He’s nothing but a trollish shell of his former (merely idiotic) self.
October 12th, 2008 at 6:06 am
After you get the birth certificate, then it is declaimed as a fake, right? Like Obama’s legitimate Hawiian birth certificate. And the “yes, but” debate goes on and on and on. Ken will never reach capitulation. He’d rather resort to guns.
Republicans are getting desperate as it becomes increasingly clear their candidate is not going to win. Ken wildly suggests picking up arms. I’d like to think Ken would not resort to that. But some of the crazies we’ve witnessed at McCain rallies — I’m not so sure. And I’m starting to worry about Ken.
