It was only a matter of time. This baby is alive. But before October rolls into November, we will see a dead baby with Obama’s name attached.
Nevertheless, it IS true Obama doesn’t share Republican values like racism, bigotry, religious zealotry, fascism and general stupidity.
I have to think what Republicans are really afraid of, is a proposed stimulus measure to abort all babies conceived by two racist Republican parents. Our future depends on it.

Of course, the 2002 Illinois Senate vote referred to was a “message bill” and a political ploy by the Republicans. Illinois law and the Hippocratic oath of all doctors already outlawed the alleged misconduct at the Oak Lawn hospital.

Watch for a similar message bill in Utah this coming legislative session. This is a favorite topic the graft-ridden Republican party in Utah uses as a way of keeping the sheep corraled. We’ve already had a preview of this coming attraction. I once heard Gayle Ruzicka on the radio say that the abortion issue alone ensured she would “never vote for a Democrat”. That remark is idiotic in so many ways, but represents the thinking of an awful lot of Utahns.

If the GOP really wanted to overturn Roe v.. Wade the could; they have the Supreme Court Justices to do so. So why haven’t they? Because what would they have to campaign on?
They lose when it comes to the economy.
They lose when it comes to taxes.
They lose when it comes to the war.
They lose when they talk about gas prices.
They lose when it comes to wages and pensions.
They lose when it comes to healthcare.
I hate abortion, and I believe we need to reduce the amount of unwanted pregnancies. But, that issue isn’t on my top ten lists as to why I am voting for Barack Obama who has also stated that we need to reduce the amount of unwanted pregnancies, which will reduce the amount of abortions.
How can I do anything for anyone if I’m, broke, bankrupt, or sick?

I can’t remember who said it, but I remember a political analyst once opined that the day the Republican Party overturns Roe v. Wade is the day they cease to exist as a major political party.

Good point Jack! I hadn’t thought about that. Todays republicans will leave Roe v Wade in place if they think it benefits them politically, fetuses be damned. Absolutely, positively!

Great discussion! What amazes me is that Obama’s debate response of advocating measures to control the number of abortions required in the US has gone virtually untouched. republicans have lost enormous ground by not admitting, at least for the time being, that prevention in lieu of abortion, makes sense.
