This is What is Happening
The republicans are going to throw a temper tantrum (again) after the election if things don’t go enough in their favor. They are going to shout about Acorns and Voter Fraud. I know this for sure because John McCain brought it up in the last debate with Obama. He said the democrats were going to rip the very fabric of our society, by commiting voter fraud.
When Amy Goodman and her staff aren’t getting mowed down at political conventions, they are giving us the best television on television. Harvey Wasserman of Free Press and Brad Friedman of the Brad Blog use their time on Democracy Now to focus on the most important issue of today.
Rated S for scary.

Props to Larry - great links. Absolutely the GOP is setting up to try for voter suppression in key states - Colorado & Florida are set up to do this. Ohio, thank goodness, has a decent person in charge of elections & she’s refused to go along with this un-American strategy. And after the election, the GOP is planning to make mischief by contesting election results, where the margins are close. As a nation, we should be willing to spend some effort and treasure to ensure we have democratic elections here in the USA, not just in Iraq.

To paraphrase Lincoln, you can’t steal all of the elections all of the time. 2008 will be a Democratic landslide. Nothing can stop the impending big blue wave. High on the agenda in the next two years should be an election process that everyone feels is fair and trustworthy.

Bummer.

Thanks UtahOwl. It really is great that Ohio fought so hard to clean up their system and even got rid of 2004’s Kathrine Harris, (Ken Blackwell.) Some very interesting stories will be coming out of that state next year and the Democrats had better start paying attention. Ignorance is no longer an option and we better start getting reasonable answers from them. Brad was great for repeatedly pointing out the Democrats are doing nothing once again.
I took a camera to the polls today and nobody seemed to notice. I dearly wanted to document a discrepancy between the touch screen and the printout, but was unsuccessful. Darn!
Was my vote recorded correctly?
Nobody will ever know.

Won’t the vote stealers know Larry?

Do arsonists show up at their own fire? Sometimes. Would Karl Rove want to know how many votes he stole? Absolutely! Of Course!
