I’ve criticized Andrew Sullivan’s commentary before; on issues of sexuality, he’s one of the best out there. But he seems to consistently misread American politics as Labor versus Tory, instead of Democrats versus Republicans or progressives versus conservatives. The Wall Street Journal published a press release from the Republican National Committee, providing a run-down and bio information about Khalidi. The intent is clearly to make Obama look anti-Israel by his association with Khalidi.

A new poll from Arizona State University suggests that an Obama win is not at all out of the question. The numbers: McCain 46%, Obama 44%, within the ±3% margin of error. The previous ASU poll from a month ago put McCain up 45%-38%.
