Before signing off for the night, here’s a little comic relief from my new best friends, Margaret and Helen:
Has it occurred to anyone else that the Republican party has become the party of money, guns and sex? It seems to be the only things they think about. Who is having sex with who? How much are my taxes? Keep your hands off my guns. I really think they would explode if a gay couple used their tax refund to purchase an AKA assault rifle. They wouldn’t know whether to hate the sinner or compliment the sin.

Actually we encourage it, Becky.
Although, we prefer that they buy AK rifles, not ones that are “also known as” rifles.

The charm of Margaret and Helen is that they sometimes get the details wrong (e.g., AKA, nod to JD), but they have the big picture clearly in focus.
Here’s a tidbit from Helen, since I quoted Margaret earlier (and if you’re smart, you’ll add their blog to your reader - really, I mean it.

I think they really are 80-somethings. If you have time, go back and read the posts from election week. Margaret especially just cracks me up.
